About this property

Harbour Views & Space for Four on Princes Wharf

A well-appointed two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on the iconic Princes Wharf — harbour views and a private balcony, queen master bedroom, king second bedroom (twin configuration on advance request), stone benchtop kitchen, air conditioning, in-unit laundry, and secure parking. The Viaduct, Ferry Terminal, and Britomart are steps away. Consistently praised for views, location, and hospitality. A genuinely comfortable waterfront address for couples, families, or business travellers.

View has been mentioned by guests more than any other feature — and from Shed 24 on Princes Wharf, looking out across the Waitemata Harbour from a private balcony with the ferries coming and going below, it earns every mention. The location score is a perfect five. Hospitality has been singled out in fourteen individual reviews. These are the things that bring guests back to an apartment, and they are present in full at this one.

The apartment is comfortable and generously proportioned — two properly separated bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a bright and spacious open-plan living and dining area, and a kitchen with stone benchtops that reflects a considered fit-out. The interiors have a warmth and familiarity to them; this is not a sterile, brand-new show apartment, but a well-maintained, well-loved waterfront home that has been hosting guests well for some time. Guests who value space, views, location, and comfort over the novelty of new finishes consistently find it delivers exactly what it promises.

The queen master bedroom is comfortable and private with quality linen. The second bedroom has a king bed that can be configured as two singles on advance request. Both bathrooms are well-appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped for proper self-catering: oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, and all the essentials. Air conditioning, Smart TV, high-speed WiFi, dedicated workspace, and in-unit washer and dryer complete a well-resolved package. Secure parking is included.

Princes Wharf is one of Auckland`s most storied addresses. Built in 1929 and named after Admiral Earl Jellicoe, the wharf was for decades the city`s primary point of arrival and departure — the place where ships from around the world docked, and where generations of New Zealanders arrived, departed, and said their goodbyes. During the Second World War the wharf served as headquarters for United States forces in the Pacific. The shed buildings that line the wharf today are survivors of that era — long, beautiful warehouse structures that were sympathetically converted into apartments, restaurants, and bars by Leuschke Group Architects in 1998, one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront regeneration projects.

Today Princes Wharf is home to Somm wine bar and restaurant, Wahlburgers, and a collection of waterfront dining and drinking venues that make the wharf one of Auckland`s most enjoyable evening destinations. The New Zealand Maritime Museum is immediately at the base of the wharf. Free public viewing decks at the end of Shed 23 offer panoramic harbour views available to all.

The entire apartment is yours — both bedrooms, both bathrooms, kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, dedicated workspace, private balcony, and one secure car park.

Check-in is from 3:00 PM. Self check-in via key safe — full instructions and codes will be sent the day before your arrival. Early check-in can often be accommodated subject to availability — please enquire at booking.

Princes Wharf connects directly to the Viaduct Harbour precinct — one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront dining and entertainment areas. Baduzzi, Hello Beasty, Giraffe, and the full sweep of Viaduct waterfront restaurants and bars are a very short walk along the boardwalk. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is immediately adjacent for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf services.

Commercial Bay`s flagship retail and dining complex is a short walk east along Quay Street, as is Britomart`s cobblestoned laneways. Wynyard Quarter`s North Wharf dining precinct and Silo Park are an easy westward stroll. Spark Arena is a short walk for events. The CBD`s Queen Street, Sky Tower, Aotea Square, and the Auckland Art Gallery are all within comfortable walking distance.

Princes Wharf is one of Auckland`s most walkable waterfront addresses. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is immediately adjacent for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and all Hauraki Gulf services. Britomart Transport Centre is a short walk with full train network connections. Secure parking is included for guests arriving by car. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car.

A complimentary starter pack is provided on arrival — a small selection of tea, coffee, milk, and bathroom essentials to get you settled comfortably from the moment you arrive. Supermarkets and convenience stores are nearby for any additional supplies you need during your stay.

Weekly and monthly discount rates are available and apply automatically to longer stays.

A private airport transfer can be arranged at additional cost — please get in touch at least 48 hours before your arrival and we will organise it for you.

To ensure a smooth arrival, we ask all guests to complete a short online pre-check-in form and upload a valid government-issued photo ID before arriving — this takes just a couple of minutes.

This is a non-smoking, no-vaping property throughout — including the balcony and all common areas. No parties or events. Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM.

Princes Wharf occasionally hosts large cruise ships at the adjacent berth. When a vessel is in port, the wharf becomes busier than usual during the day. Arrivals and departures are publicly listed on the Port of Auckland schedule and we are happy to advise on upcoming visits if this is something you would like to plan around.

The king bed in the second bedroom can be configured as twin single beds on advance request — please let us know at the time of booking if you would like this arrangement, as it cannot be set up on the day of arrival.
We kindly ask all guests to help us maintain the peaceful, high-standard environment of this home by following a few simple rules:

A valid photo ID, email address, and phone number are required prior to check-in.

Please respect our no-party policy and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Smoking, vaping, or drug use is not permitted inside the suite or anywhere in the apartment, building, complex or balcony.

In the rare case of a noise complaint or evidence of smoking, an additional fee of up to NZD $500 may apply.

Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
