Dunes by the Shore - Walk to the Beach!

Newly remodeled and expanded in 2020 within walking distance to Mandalay Beach in the peaceful Dunes area. Open floor plan with oversized kitchen island and private backyard with BBQ and ping pong table. Shuffleboard, chess table, poker table or even classic arcades for the kids will keep you entertained indoors. Take an excursion to the Channel Islands National Park; Main St shops in Ventura; visit Ojai or Santa Barbara nearby, or just enjoy the beach a short walk away! Entire duplex with no shared walls was completely rebuilt and expanded in 2020. Quartz countertops, rainfall showers with glass tiles, stainless steel appliances with an open space concept make the space beautiful and functional. Kitchen is stocked and organized for guests who want to cook. Outdoor patio table with seating for 6 and kids sandpit with toys so guests can relax outside.

Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
-Kitchen utensils & appliances-please put them back in the correct drawers/cabinets. -BBQ grill&outdoor table-if used, please clean & wipe down. -Fire pit&BBQ gas-please make sure they're turned off.
-Lights, fans, HVAC system & appliances-please make sure they are turned off. -All games/sporting goods-please return to the correct closet/storage bin. -TV/Fan remotes-please return to their holders.
Additional cleaning charges may apply if upon departure: -Dishwasher is not loaded and run. -The BBQ grill not cleaned & outdoor table not wiped down. -House left extra dirty.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Close to boat to Channel Islands National Park

This property was lovely. Nicely updated. And most importantly very close to the harbor to take the ferry out to Channel Islands National Park.

Family Enjoyment

Lovely stay at the Dunes

My sister-in-law enjoyed a long weekend reunion here. We cooked a lot and slept great. The property is exactly as described—quiet neighborhood and ocean-close. A relaxing place to simply hang out. We were here shortly after the LA fires and watched the first glorious rain fall in nearly 300 days—to our delight, we could then see snow-covered mountains from the backyard!

Family-friendly beach house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this family-friendly beach-adjacent house. The back yard is so nicely set up for kids and adults to hang in an enclosed space, with a dining table, sand pit, pingpong and small grassy area, which is rare for this part of town! The kitchen island is the envy of kitchen islands everywhere. It's a great spot that has something for both the kiddos and adults to enjoy.

Nice and comfy

There were lots of activities this property offered for families and especially kids. There was something for everyone. Everything was well organized and labeled so there was no question how to operate anything. All rooms were clean and neat and bathrooms were supplied wirh enough towels. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay, whatever you think you might need for an awesome vacation, was readily available here! The home was very clean, newly remodeled and was even better looking than the pictures depicted. It was a very quiet neighborhood and the backyard was big with great amenities for my family. I will definitely book this place again in the future. The host Johnny was super responsive as well!

Clean, close to the beach, good communication with manager

The property is an 8 min drive to South Jetty/the hot pocket (aka Mothers Beach). The unit was well equipped and the kitchen was nicely labeled to make things easy to find. We had a few hiccups during our stay (couldn’t get in one day; water stopped) which can happen; but Johnny was so great and easy to talk to really not a big deal at all as it was all immediately handled. The unit is very cute and comfortable. Internet worked great - I was able to work from here while the kids were in surf camp. Great experience, we’d definitely return.
