We had a great stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay here again.

Perfect place for a family getaway. The location is beautiful, overlooking a lake and very convenient to visit mount buller for a day.The house is very well kept and the host is great to deal with.

Wonderful place. Lots of facilities in this house. Layout is nice too. Lake in front. Just cross the road...Mt Buller is about an hour away. We stayed in winter and went to Mt Buller...

Everything you need

My 15ys son and I came to Petras place to use as a base for some hiking and paddle boarding.The little house had all that we needed. Nice wood burning fireplace, beautiful views, WiFi, cooking oils, seasoning, good BBQ, easy access to Buller and right across the road from Lake Eildon. We would stay again and recommend this for anyone wanting an easy, quiet and comfortable getaway from work/city/busy life.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely holiday house in Goughs Bay. The highlight was the beautiful veranda with its fantastic views over the lake — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the serenity.The home was cosy and comfortable, with a great, well-equipped kitchen. We loved the peaceful surroundings, mountain views and the many beautiful walking opportunities, which were perfect for our dogs.A truly relaxing getaway surrounded by nature. We would happily stay here again!

Wasn’t practical for 6 people. Bathrooms were very small, not enough living area. There was not enough water and 2 people could not use water simultaneously. Water pressure was very low and hot and cold kept running out. Host was easily contactable.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the property didn’t feel practical for your group. The size, layout and bathrooms are shown in the listing photos and priced accordingly. The property runs on a rural pump and tank water system, which can feel different to city water. We weren’t made aware of the pressure issue during your stay, but once raised, we investigated and found one of the water filters needed replacing, which has now been resolved. We’re glad communication was easy and appreciate you sharing your experience.
