Great Place to Stay!

Great property. Super clean and well stocked with all the essentials to be comfortable. Multiple decks and nice yard to be able to spend time outside enjoying the scenery. Only around ~10 mins from Clayton, so you have easy access to a grocery store and places to eat, etc. Check out procedure was reasonable and nothing outrageous like what you might see for other rentals on other sites :)The map took me here pretty easily, but I would recommend trying to arrive in the daylight. The last couple of miles to get to the property is windy with many turns. I had to backtrack a few times, but it wasn't terrible.I would definitely book here again!

Had a great 5 days in the mountains. Emphasis, "in the mountains". Fair warning, the drive up Screamer Mountain is not for the faint of heart. Think narrow twisting roads with no guard rails. But the house and property is excellent. They have everything you need for comfort, tv's, wi-fi, dog bowls, washer/dryer, etc. We hung out there a lot because our daughter was working in Camp Blue Ridge, just north of Clayton and she would stop by for a hot shower and a quick nap! The host was very accessible, even warning us about a baby bear sighting the week before we arrived. (Never saw a bear, lots of rabbits, though) We visited downtown Clayton, Talulah Gorge, Franklin, NC (just a half hour north), and family in Maggie Valley, NC (90 minutes northeast). Also, for the adventurous, thee are literally mountain trails leading off the property. Can't recommend this house enough! Would look to stay here again if we ever make it back this way.

The management team was super responsive to pre-arrival questions. House was well-appointed. What is never a small thing for are the towels and mattresses....I was up in the master loft and the bed was so comfortable and the towels were fabulous.

Winding Road With Gravel

As mentioned in another review, the road to this cabin is “windy” and I agree with their recommendation to arrive in the daylight. Additionally, my wife and I were surprised when the asphalt ended and the road became gravel part way up the hill to the cabin. We turned around at the end of the asphalt, drove back to Clayton and then returned home. We were not comfortable having to deal with this drive for a six night stay every time we wanted to leave the property to get to town or leave for an activity. Also, I drive a relatively high-end vehicle and it made no sense to expose my vehicle’s exterior to potential stone damage from the road. We normally expect a paved road all the way to rental properties like this. Otherwise, the listing should have disclosed that part of the road to the cabin is gravel so we could have been forewarned and avoided making this booking. The end result is we lost out on the cost of a six day rental.Also, I sent an email to the “Guest Contact” for the property but never received a response. I later send an email to “Support” at Evolve and again never received a response. Responsiveness from the parties managing this property appears to be somewhat lacking.

The cabin was beautiful and outside and the views were spectacular. The beds are not comfortable and we found rat poop under the bottom of the stove. It needs to be throughly cleaned. It’s in a good location and close to town. Overall it’s not bad.

GREAT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We loved our visit. The kids loved playing pool and the board games available. The hammock was much used by the kids as well. There are a couple trails leading from the property which we took the dogs on multiple times. Great hosts! They provided so many amenities that elevated the stay. We would love to stay here if ever in the area again. We highly recommend the property to anyone wanting to stay in NE Georgia!
