Port Orchard

Beautiful house on the water and a short walk or drive to town. A lot better than staying in a hotel. Very private and quiet neighborhood. We'll definitely be staying here again.

This place is a quaint old house with lots of charm. It is updated just enough so you can enjoy it. The hosts have taken a lot of care to ensure guests are comfortable. It's in a great location with a water view and walking distance to Port Orchard with shops and restaurants. We spent every waking moment we weren't sightseeing on the deck with a water view. The bonus for us was the Port Orchard firework show we were able to watch from the deck. Definitely recommend this as a comfortable home base for any Seattle area trip!

We're so glad our updated historic 100-year old home charmed you and that the deck with its water view became your favorite spot, especially for catching the Port Orchard fireworks! It truly is a great home base for exploring the area, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. We put a lot of care into making sure guests feel comfortable, and it means a lot to hear that it showed. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review and for recommending it as a home base for a Seattle area trip!

Our visit was not of a vacation nature but kept us in the area for two unexpected weeks. This property was home away from home for us and the property management and owners were incredible at meeting our needs. Any time I reached out the response time was almost immediate. The house is adorable and the views are stunning! Do not hesitate to book this property.

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're glad this place could feel like a home away from home during those unexpected two weeks, and it means a lot to hear that communication was quick and helpful whenever you reached out. We're so happy the views and the house itself brought some comfort during that time.

Overall stay was great. Only exception were the stairs. The stairs between stories were quite steep and were difficult to navigate for some of the elders in my family. Actually impossible for one. I feel that perhaps that should be included in the description of the property.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! If you were to re-read the listing description in full, you would see that the stairs are clearly described for this purpose exactly. This house is not best for mobility challenged people.
