Our stay at Parks and Rec was definitely five stars. The house amenities were great, they had everything we needed. The spacious kitchen and living space was everything we wanted and more! The fire pit was a huge hit. The big porch was a lovely spot to enjoy the rain. Highly recommend this home; we plan to return!

Amazing House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Parks & Rec exceeded our expectation-- not only was the house beautiful, new & clean, but the location was perfect. There was so much room for our kids to play in the front SAFELY! Don't forget to bring a bike or scooter for your kiddo to enjoy (we brought scooters). They did that half the time & the other half they played football on the big lawn. So many kids would come out to play every day and they had a blast. When looking at google maps, it doesnt look like there is a lot built in this area of carlton, but google maps is wayyy behind. The area has houses all around so it's perfect and NOT isolated. It was an easy golfcart drive to the Meeting house (restaurant) and the other main areas. We rented this house b/c it had 2 king size en suites (in addition to the other bedrooms)-- we had 2 married couples in our group so it was perfect space...but the location of the house became just as important to us. Bring a lighter if you're planning to do smores! We couldn't locate a fire starter for the life of us so we could never use the fire pit. Also- bring a measuring cup. Their 1 measuring cup leaks out. But they had everything else you would need-even a crock pot. That's about it-- this house was perfection, new and clean. No complaints. One more thing to know- the 2nd king room shower has a little struggle with the hot water. It takes a hot minute to get warm and then it's scalding hot. We learned how to make it work but we had to be quick. My parents had zero issue with the downstairs one and the kids didnt have any issue with the kids bathroom shower. Hopefully this gets fixed and then it will literally be a perfect house.

The hours of local businesses vary daily/seasonally so make sure to check any you'd like to visit.
