We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It was a short stay for a family wedding, with 7 of us staying comfortably in the home. The amenities and lake access were excellent. We enjoyed the fire pit on the dock, and swimming in the clean fresh lake.We hope to come back again with our family.Candace was super communicative and helpful while planning our trip.

This lakefront property is beautiful and incredibly well-equipped: hot tub, sauna, putting greens, and multiple decks to lounge on. Three fire pits. The house is bright and quite comfortable for a large group. The property is very well cared-for, and has been continually improved. Candace was quickly and graciously responsive when we needed help. We would love to go back again!

The house was a 5/5 very clean and had everything required in the kitchen, lots of towels for the beach. The property itself was a little less clean the patio table was filthy and rusted out, there was no cushions for the outdoor furniture, and the hot tub was foamy and dirty. The 5th bedroom was to room 2 more people but was not safe for less mobile people to climb the ladder to sleep on a mattress on the floor. The space definitely needs to be upgraded to meet the photos but it was a nice place over all

Hi Jenica, I'm sorry that the exterior of the property didn't meet your expectations. I'm a little taken aback from your comments as none of this was communicated with me during your stay which could have been remedied on the spot. I also went up and above to accommodate your early check and your guests earlier check in to set up for your birthday. As mentioned, I had told you that we had a storm come through that lost a lot of our cushions so we were unable to get new ones in on time, even though the order had been made and delivery was late. The hot tub was in pristine condition when I left it. If you do not rinse off before entering the hot tub, the laundry detergent from bathing suits can disrupt the pH of the water, which is a common cause. You could have called me to come level the chemicals but you did not. The loft has steep stairs, correct, but unless I know the condition of all the guests coming in, I cannot predict the mobility of your guests. Again, this could have been avoided if you had let me know guests had mobility issues. The table outside will be getting replaced soon. We are planning on doing a few renovations and upgrades over the fall so hopefully everything will meet your expectations if you decide to return :) Thank you for your recommendations! Candace

It doesn’t get much better than this. The cottage is great - very private, quiet, super clean, and comfortably accommodated our family of 8. Plus the lake views are mesmerizing. We loved spending most days on the dock and in the water. Perfect! The cottage is very well equipped with amenities and activities for the entire family. To top it off, Candace was a great host. We were certainly sad to leave.

Candace's lakefront property on Shawingan Lake was absolutely perfect. It comfortably accommodated our group of six. There are lots of great areas to hang out, and we very much enjoyed the sauna/hot tub area. The lake was serene and lovely. Candace was great to deal with. Highly recommend.

Home was well laid out, lots of natural light. Felt private. Host was exceptional (Candace). She went back to the property after we had left, to help find a backpack that was accidentally thrown into the trash due to it being in a black plastic bag. We were so grateful she found it and we arranged to have it picked up.

We had the most incredible family stay! The location on the arm of Shawnigan Lake was absolutely perfect, and the home worked so well for hosting our family from Victoria. Having the trailer, the sprinter van, and the dome made everything so convenient and comfortable. Speaking with Candace was a pleasure—she’s truly one of the best hosts I’ve ever worked with. Our experience was amazing from start to finish. Absolutely five stars!

Third time staying at this property. Beautiful as always. The new hot tub was a big hit as well as the artificial turf down on the dock. Lots of towels for us to use, new beds all sorts of small upgrades that really made us feel at home. The putting green had lots of use as always. The three fire pits all got their use as well. We will definitely be back.

This is a wonderful place for a family getaway. There is everything kids would want…a nice dock, hot tub, paddle boards, golf green, table tennis, arcade game, fuse ball, darts, etc.The home is very comfortable and clean …comfy beds too. Kitchen is well equipped, appliances all new. Just needed a salad spinner. Location and views on the lake were very pretty! Grounds were well kept and well lit.Candace responded very quickly any time I contacted her with a question before and during our stay.Only frustration for my working adult kids was the internet was sketchy ….not sure if that was a provider issue or house modem problem. Overall, our kiddos had a ball!!!
