About this property
Sun and Stars farmhouse, North Cape Coastal drive
This comfortable old style 1800’s PEI farmhouse, inspected and licensed by Tourism PEI, boasts gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and stunning star filled skies at night. That’s why we named our rental “Sun and Stars farmhouse”
The house is set between a cow pasture and a potato field so it is very private. Conveniently just off the highway so easy to get around.
This 100+ year old four bedroom home is on a red dirt road with no other neighbours on it.
The house was occupied for generations of the Condon family. It has undergone considerable improvements and is now very comfortable, while still maintaining its heritage appeal. The bedrooms upstairs each have a dresser and somewhere to hang your clothes, simple small rooms like most older farmhouses which will make you think of years gone by.
Sleeps 10-11 with a queen, double, three single beds, a comfy double pull out couch in the living/tv room and a futon in the sitting room (open room).
This year we added a "Transformer" kitchen table shipped from the Montreal Transformer Table store. We love it as it can accommodate as little as four people and extends to seat up to 14. It comes with a "Transformer" bench. Just tell us ahead of time how many you want us to set the table up for and we will have it ready for your group. We also added a new LG range with air fry and convection bake that we love. Fill this country kitchen with the aroma of perfectly baked bread if you’re so inclined (or go down the road and buy freshly baked goods at the Country Oven instead, 😉heck you’re on vacation!)
Easily stream movies with our Hi Speed WiFi and Roku.
Enjoy your coffee on the newly renovated large front porch facing morning sun.
Or an evening glass of wine on your backyard porch facing spectacular PEI sunsets. BBQ provided. Cook lobster in a big pot provided as well as lobster cracking tools.
This property is situated at the top of a hill in Richmond and looks out on all sides as far as the eye can see, with very few neighbours nearby. The star filled skies will take your breath away!
Wild flowers and a large one acre yard give it a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of room for kids to play. There are a couple of swings hanging off the large old trees.
Relax under the incredible night while roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Plenty of outdoor chairs are provided as well as wood!
There is also a baseball diamond and a gym and a Catholic church next door. We walk to all of them.
The Richmond dairy bar just down the road to your left is a popular destination for locals.
Down the hill the other way is an easy entrance to Ellis River for kayaking and canoeing.
The farm house is located on Sugar Camp road, the only property on a long winding dirt road through fields and small forests, a wonderfully relaxing walk. The red dirt road is about about 200m from the Confederation trail, the only converted railway line cross-island that is perfect for biking and hiking.
Beaches are scattered all over this island so hop in your car and go in any direction you’ll find a beach. We will direct you to our favourites!
We go above and beyond to make your stay is enjoyable from snacks upon arrival to lots of towels and throws and touches that makes a house homey. We want you to have a perfect
Oh and by the way, please note like most 19th century farmhouses the stairs are slightly steep and some of the floors are not perfectly level.
The house is situated just off highway 2 so you can hear traffic in the distance. We barely notice it but you may. LICENSE NUMBER: 4013236
