Why they chose this property
I bought this cute little house in 2021—it was my very first home on my own, and a time I’ll always treasure. I was searching for a place to call my own. The housing market was wild, everything was getting snapped up and there just didn’t seem to be anything available.
One day, while I was out riding my bike, I passed this house on Michael Street. It caught my eye immediately, but I didn’t think I had a chance. Still, something made me inquire. I put in an offer... and when it was accepted, I honestly could’ve cried, I was so thrilled and grateful.
From the moment I walked through the door, I knew it was something special. The house is full of character and quirks, it’s not perfectly straight (in fact, it’s a little wonky!), but that’s exactly what I love about it. It has warmth, personality, and history.
What makes this property unique
It’s believed to have been built around 1910, though the kitchen is even older, originally part of an early settler’s cottage dating back to the late 1800s.
In 2023, I married my wonderful husband, Rob Harvey. Moving out of this home was bittersweet, but it opened the door to something new, creating a home together, and also opening this one up for others to enjoy.
Inspired by my entrepreneur sisters in America and supported by Rob every step of the way, I’ve embraced the joy of hosting. I’m so excited to share this cozy little sanctuary with you. Whether you’re here for an adventure or a peaceful reset, I hope it feels like a true home away from home.
