About this property
Greytown Farmhouse in the Heart of the Wairarapa
Welcome to the Greytown Farmhouse - a recently renovated farmhouse in the heart of the Wairarapa. The Farmhouse is a ten minute walk into Greytown and close to Martinborough, making it a great place to live, work, and play and a perfect base to enjoy all the region has to offer.
Updates include double glazing, floor, wall and ceiling insulation, a heat pump and HRV and on chilly nights, we've a woodstove to keep you cozy.
With almost an acre of land, a soccer field and basketball net, trampoline, trees to climb, a secret children's fort, free bikes and scooters for checking out the trails, rope swing, and fruit trees galore, our farm is a great place to play for active families or for couples to retreat to in the countryside. And for rainy days, our built-in surround sound home theatre system and DVD player / chromecast and HD projector or just old school board games will keep everyone happy.
We look forward to hosting you soon!

About the host
Hosted by James Richardson
We are Canadians, and moved to the land of the long white cloud (Aotearoa) over twenty years ago to teach and work in the health care fields. We love the outdoors which makes this part of the world perfect for running, biking, gardening and growing up. We host to share some of this way of life we've come to hold dear with others.
Why they chose this property
Greytown is a great little community with everything in walking distance to our wee farm. And it is FLAT which is hard to come by in Wellington, and makes getting around on bike and foot (running or walking) a real treat.
What makes this property unique
Our place is the perfect combination of being close to the hustle and bustle of Greytown and an easy drive to the wineries in Martinborough, but far enough from the big city (Wellington) that it really and truly feels like country. We love the fresh air, the dark nights, the fruit trees and garden and the SPACE to play!
