This property had everything we needed for our girls trip! From spices/cookware to extra blankets, pillows, and towels, there was nothing that was not thought of. We enjoyed the hot tub, scenic property, and fire pit. The host was very communicative and ensured everything was provided upon check in.
We spent 2 wonderful weeks at this cabin as our basecamp for an early spring hiking trip in Shenandoah Nat'l Park. Very private & quiet location, yet only 10 minutes to town & 15 minutes to the Swift Run entrance to Skyline Drive. Consists of the original cabin plus a new "couples suite". Great amenities including creek-side picnic area, new hot tub, fire pit, gas or charcoal BBQ, etc. Interior decor is reminiscent of an Alpine chalet. Owners are very helpful & responsive. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place to stay! So much to do in this VRBO! Loved hearing the water from the creek, wonderful fire pit with lights and s’mores, big projector for movies, hot tub after day hikes in Shenandoah, corn hole, tons of games and fun record player to listen to old music. Well appointed house with lovely decorations.
Wonderful place for time with family and adventures!
This was a great to place to stay with our family. Lots of space, beautiful scenery, wonderful hiking trails at the National Park. Loved listening to the barred owls and whippoorwills in the screened in porch at night. We would highly recommend this place. Excellent communication with host as well.
A beautiful place to stay for a quiet mini reunion! Great location! We had wonderful fall hikes in the Shenandoah Mountains! Plenty of space and the guest bedroom with a fire place and large windows were an extra bonus!
We used this as home base for our stay to celebrate our JMU graduate. Comfortable and spacious. Would be a great location to get away and recharge. Wished we had more time to enjoy the natural surroundings. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had.
The cabin was everything and more than we had anticipated. It was clean and cute and the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed not only the cabin and all the amenities but the screened in back porch (which was super cute) as well as the fire pit and surrounding area for hiking. Great place!
From the moment you enter this cabin you can tell that the owner takes good care of the property. It has comfortable furniture, clean rooms, and is a beautiful cabin overall.
The property is secluded but still very close to stores, breweries, and other local attractions.
I would definitely stay here again.
We had a marvelous time here, relaxing, listening to the birds, wading in the stream, hiking in nearby Shenandoah National Park, riding bikes provided by the host. The house is extremely well appointed, very pretty, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
The large windows in the detached portion make you feel like you are in the outdoors. The cabin is otherwise beautifully decorated and comfortable! We would love to stay again!
The cabin is exactly as you hope! Very cozy warm and tucked away in the woods. The property manager was very accommodating and even set us up with a welcome basket!
Will definitely visit again in the future
This property had everything we needed for a beautiful stay and a home base for Shenandoah National Park.It was the perfect size for the 2 of us and our small dog that we brought with us. It was cozy, beautiful, immaculate, and had everything we needed. It would be perfect as well if you had kids with you or an extra couple with you. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
The cabin was very well stocked and we very much appreciated the welcome basic of smores. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the patio is absolutely amazing. A great place for a weekend (or longer get away!) The hosts were also very responsive and helpful as well. Thank you!
Located in a secluded area with a creek running through it, this place was perfect! The projector was really fun to use to watch movies at night. We sat by a fire on the creek. The hot tub was clean and lovely to use after a day hiking at the nearby Shenandoah NP. The home is well stocked, cozy and beautifully decorated. The addition had amazing views from the window to watch nature as you wake up. I would stay again! Thanks for having us!
This was our second visit to the cabin. We visited in the early spring and enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to return this fall. It was another great visit. We split our time between lounging around the cabin and property, and driving to nearby shops and restaurants. We will probably return again soon; this is a great property in an ideal setting.
We had a great time and loved the house. The only issue we had were the ants. They were everywhere and it made us hesitant to sit and leave our items in the main house.
We had an amazing time at this property, and Alex was the perfect host.
The house was beautiful and the design was amazing. There were so many cool details everywhere, and it was very comfortable. We got a “ski lodge” feeling and it was a perfect getaway from our everyday life.
The fire pit was perfect for s’mores and for hanging out in the evening.
The location is great and it was easy to get to the Shenandoah National Park.
We would love to return!
Our stay was absolutely stunning and relaxed. We came up for our son’s 5th birthday trip becoming he wanted a trip to the snowy mountains. Our last full day it snowed! The cabin just made that more special being back in the woods with a fire pit. We will be back for sure.
Our family had a wonderful 3-night stay in this adorable little cabin! The cabin was clean and tidy and we had everything we needed. The area is secluded, serene, and quite with only the lovely sound of the creek. It was a great getaway spot. We enjoyed fires outside and roasting marshmallows, board games, riding bikes, hiking in Shenandoah National Park, visiting JMU and Harrisonburg and touring Grand Caverns. We hope to come back to this cabin soon!!
