Elkton, Va. Modernized Farmhouse! Great location in the Shenandoah Valley.

The farm house and setting are ideal for a secluded getaway or a base to explore the surrounding valley attractions and venues. The Skyline Drive is 5 miles east on RT33 providing access to the Appalachian Trail, picnic areas, and numerous hiking trailheads. Shenandoah River Adventures, LLC 888-309-7222 for tube, kayak. The house is located on an 86 acre working farm. It has 1/2 + mile of Shenandoah River frontage which is a 100 yard walk from the house. You can hear the water from the house on a calm evening. The view from the house and yard are of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east and the Massanutten Mountains to the west. Night time star gazing is excellent!

Family home and getaway. Presently live on the west coast and come to Elkton several times a year.

What makes this property unique

This part of the Shenandoah Vally is a unique and beautiful area during all seasons. The house is 16 miles from JMU and other Harrisonburg venues. Come for graduation weekend, football games and other college family events. Massanutten 4 Seasons resort is 5 miles. Scenic Skyland Drive and the Appalachian Trail access north/south are 7 miles from the house. Golf, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hunting, hiking and fishing are available in the area. The South Fork of the Shenandoah River is the eastern boundary of the property. Numerous golf courses are close by. Luray Caverns and antique car museum is 20 miles. Numerous wineries are located in the valley area for wine tasting and touring.
Access to a multitude of historical homes, civil war battlefields sites and activities.
The property is located 100 miles SW of Washington, DC. 100 miles west of Richmond and the same from Roanoke.
