Common Concerns: *Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather. *TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem. *Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors. *There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.
FEES: The management company of this cabin charges a $20 per stay Damage Waiver Fee to every customer. It is automatically included in your rate. This covers our guests for up to $350 worth of accidental damage should damage occur during their stay. If damage occurs to the cabin, furnishings, etc, please report it to management as soon as possible so that the damage can be repaired. You may opt out of paying the $20 damage waiver fee by putting down a $350 REFUNDABLE damage deposit.
✨ Peace of Mind & Travel Insurance: I want your stay to be stress-free and enjoyable. Please note that this home has a strict cancellation policy. Thank you for your positive feedback, Diane. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our centrally located cabin. We hope to see you again in the future!
Short vacation with my boys, and we had a great time. Cabin provided everything we needed. Clean, quiet, charming spot to relax each day after being out, and about exploring Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smoky's.
The cabin was clean, attractive, and in a convenient location. The fireplace and fire pit were nice. The small bedroom with a twin bed only had a curtain between it and the room next to it instead of a door, which was unfortunate. Overall our stay was pleasant, and I would recommend this cabin to others.
Our experience was awesome, the check in super convenient and easy. The cabin was flawless, very clean, cute and cozy. The surroundings of the cabin is like a little forest and my girls loved going into the woods and exploring! We recommend this cabin 100%, just arrive early rather then at night as the address of the cabin is very hard to find when it’s dark. We will definitely come back to this cabin!
I wish we could have stayed longer. This is a great location for access to the Townsend side of the park. The cabin is tucked away in the woods, so don't expect a view from the porch, but it's a great porch anyway. The cabin was very clean and well appointed - more useful kitchen stuff than we have at home. The fireplace would be great in cooler weather. We will certainly consider staying here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Smokys Hideaway from September 16-23, 2022! The cabin was beautiful and looked just like the photos. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed. A grocery store (IGA) just down the road about a mile was so convenient! The location was perfect!!! It felt as though you were so isolated but yet the property was so close to everything you needed--only 4.9 miles from the entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park and close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg!! Had a great "s'mores night" around the beautiful fire pit area!! We would definitely recommend this cabin when staying in the area.
We loved every part of this home! From the moment we entered the driveway, we knew it was a special place! We’ve stayed in the smokies for over 25 years and this was unlike any other! From our first real glimpse of this rustic, classy, and cozy cabin, all the way to our departure we were smiling and appreciative of every thoughtful detail. The cabin is perfectly nestled in the moss covered grounds & the deep set porch was definitely a high light, as well as the family nights around the beautiful fireplace. Meals were a treat to prepare in the high end kitchen! It was more than we’d hoped for! Highly recommend!!
This is a beautiful cabin with a wonderful open floor plan that helps when spending time with family. Plenty of space and comfortable accommodations. I spent every morning on the porch enjoying quiet time to myself and watching all the birds and squirrels and listening to the horses nearby. The location is tremendous to get to anything you need yet also away from it all.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was neat, clean, and cozy. We were barely on the road back home before my two 3 year old's started telling us how much they missed the cabin. We usually visit Townsend a couple of times a year, and this cabin will definitely be on our list of places we'd like to stay in the future.
A Cosy Front Porch to the Quiet Side of the Mountains
A beautifully decorated and maintained cabin in a tranquil setting. Large kitchen table for gathering of card games at night or sitting on front porch with morning coffee. Extremely stocked kitchen with appliance’s/gadgets. For those with mobility issues, you have to climb about 8 steps with railing to get into the cabin. There is a first floor bedroom. The remaining bedrooms are on the second floor up another 15 steps with railing. The cabin is worth every step. Great location to assess to Smokies or a 30 minute to the Pigeon Forge. Definitely returning again for another stay.
We had a great time. The cabin was clean and well-appointed. We really enjoyed our downtime away from the hustle and bustle (I mean, we came to the mountains to escape the city and relax… why screw that up by sitting in Gatlinburg traffic?!). The front porch swing was my favorite hangout when we weren’t off hiking, but the fire pit was the overall family favorite.
We would definitely stay here again.
My three adult children and I stayed at Smokey’s Hideaway Cabin. It was perfect. We particularly enjoyed its cleanliness, open atmosphere and serene setting in the woods. We loved the porch (with the porch swing my favorite feature), the pine decor, the well-stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, silverware, China and wineglasses), as well as the big dining table, where we played cards and other games. We had fun at Dollywood and Smoky Mountain National Park, which were surprisingly close and easily access. Can’t wait to return.
Very nice! Started out with a couple of problems, but all were quickly resolved between the time we arrived and the time we returned from dinner. We had a great stay and this location was very convenient for us! :-)
Wonderful cozy cabin for a getaway with mom and sisters. Cabin was clean and the kitchen was really well stocked. Nice comfy front porch and fire pit. We enjoyed a quiet relaxing week.
