Welcome to The River Ridge Lodge! This is a genuine log home (not a typical wood sided cabin), in one of the best locations in Blue Ridge. The cabin lies in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area, on the "upper" Toccoa River, with 170 ft of river frontage. A spectacular location, just 1.5 miles up river from the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant. Cabin has 5 bedrooms, 4 king beds and twins that can convert to 5th king (fee may apply), and a loft with a queen size bed (6 sleeping areas). Great cabin for families, couples retreats and outdoor enthusiasts.
SUMMARY
Vrbo lists cabin at 6 bedroom 3.5 baths. Cabin features huge slow growth Canadian cedar logs with each log being unique. The cabin was designed and built by a master craftsman and shows the attention to detail throughout. The cabin is a 4,900 square-foot, three-level cabin that features huge soaring ceilings and has artist carvings of bears and raccoons carved into the logs throughout the house.
Toccoa River views can be viewed from almost every room. Upscale rustic furnishings offering beauty and comfort are provided. The layout of the cabin features two master suites, each having its own soaking tub (no jets) and walk-in shower. One suite is located on the lower level, the other suite is on the upper level and both have top of the line king-size pillow top mattresses.
The main floor features two more bedrooms with a shared bathroom in between. Each bedroom also has a king-size pillow top mattress. The fifth bedroom, on the lower level, features twin beds that can also be converted to a king size bed (upon request at least 2 weeks prior to arrival, nominal fee applies). The 6th bedroom loft area has a queen size bed with open railings to the main level and provides views of the river. Four of the bedrooms have satellite TV with remote controls. Smart TV apps can be found within the DishTV interface. Most bedrooms also have a DVD player.
The cabin has a home theater room for entertainment as well as a game room with a pool table, tv, games and video games. The hot tub can accommodate 7 guests and is located on the patio just outside bedroom #3 and the game room. Three decks, porches, and balconies provide wonderful opportunities to take in the riverfront views. Use the covered walkway that leads from the kitchen to a covered pavilion that boasts and additional dining and lounge area. The back deck is an open-air deck with a picnic table. Of course you can enjoy the river gazebo with wood burning fireplace next to the river with horseshoe pit and picnic area in the yard. All are perfect for family gatherings.
NEW FEATURE: Emergency whole-home backup GENERATOR on site. Details provided upon arrival.
The gourmet kitchen features granite counter tops, double dishwashers, beverage cooler and a professional gas range with double ovens. Guests will not be disappointed with the kitchen amenities provided. The kitchen is well stocked and ideal for guests that enjoy cooking and entertaining. Calphalon Cookware, three sets of dinnerware (holiday, melamine for outdoor, and Corelle for everyday), bakeware, blender, two-12 cup coffee makers, Keurig, George Foreman grill, Crock Pot, cupcake maker, doughnut maker, 6 cup food processor, dessert fondue pot with fondue forks, electric griddle, ice cream maker, panini maker, quesadilla maker, air fryer, rice maker, soda stream maker, toaster (wide 4 slot) and waffle maker. Dear Prospective Guest,
There are a few guidelines I would like to make you aware of prior to booking. I am thrilled you are considering this property for your vacation. Upon arrival come in and make yourself at home. Check-in is between 5pm-12am and renting guests can enter contactless with a coded keypad (code and instructions will be emailed 48 hours prior to check-in). Repeat guests, please reach out if you would like a check-in time earlier than 5pm. Occasionally it can be arranged, availability to do so depends on other bookings surrounding yours.
Please remove your shoes while inside the cabin and please do not invite visitors. The cabin and all the amenities provided are only for registered guests.
Before use of the hot tub please shower with soap and water as this helps the water stay in balance during your stay. Remember it is a swim at your own risk hot tub and river. There is not a lifeguard on duty. Keep the hot tub covered when not in use to prevent a dangerous situation for little ones or wildlife.
Departure: Please leave the cabin neat and tidy, do not strip the sheets off the bed we prefer to do this ourselves, please leave all bedding on top of the beds in the proper room. Towels can be tossed in the laundry baskets located inside each bedroom closet. If bath floor mats are damp, please hang them over the towel rack to air dry. Please wipe down range and kitchen counter tops and load and start the dishwasher(s). Ensure all dishes are clean or in running dishwasher. If you are unsure where clean kitchen inventory belongs please leave on the counter (inventory binder on site to assist). If grill has been used, please brush grill down and wipe off side trays. Confirm Home Theater Room Projector System has been turned off per instructions, turn lights and ceiling fans off, check to make sure all doors and windows are closed AND locked. Bag ALL trash from kitchen, bathrooms and theater room and throw your trash in the bin at the top of the driveway on your way out.
After you book, and before your arrival date, you’ll receive an email explaining how to get to the cabin, your personalized code, and other useful information about things to do in and around this wonderful town. When you arrive, there will be tourist brochures and a welcome letter with more information on the kitchen hutch or front table. WiFi access code and restaurant recommendations can be found on site as well.
I want you to thoroughly enjoy the cabin and your time in Blue Ridge. It’s hoped you’ll book over and over again. I truly want you to enjoy the accommodations and will do my best to make your stay wonderful.
Sincerely,
Selena

About the host
Hosted by Selena

Your host is a lover of all outdoor activities and finds Blue Ridge a perfect place to engage in many of them. Come enjoy all the North Georgia Mountains has to share and experience all of the seasons while immersing yourself in some great southern hospitality. Where can you find great food, great manners, Lake Blue Ridge, the Toccoa River, hiking and biking trails galore, wineries, breweries, antiquing, and so much more all year round? This is the place to be to relax and take part in new adventures. Welcome to The River Ridge Lodge, I'm so glad to have you!
Why they chose this property
The best feature of this property is by far it's location. It is situated in the heart of the Aska Adventure area on the upper Toccoa River. Win, win! According to locals, this location has the best trout fishing in the area. In the summer you can find tubes and kayaks cruising by. In the fall you can enjoy the changing of the leaves and the apple and pumpkin orchards nearby. Being 9 miles from downtown Blue Ridges makes shopping, cruising wineries and breweries and enjoying local restaurants convenient. Finding a genuine log home crafted with real western cedar logs is rare, let alone one of this size. The fact that it's on the upper Toccoa (freestone river), with a large yard, river gazebo and your own private river access is hard to come by. The River Ridge Lodge stays much cooler in the summer and is really cozy and comfortable in the winter because the logs hold in most of the heat. The home theater room is a real plus for anyone relaxing after a fun day of exploring and adventures. The curved benches around the large round dining table make the gourmet kitchen an ideal place for sharing a meal with family and friends.
What makes this property unique
Riverfront, trout fishing from the riverbank and listening to the sounds of the river (warning: this may tempt you to catch a quick nap or lull you to sleep at night). The river gazebo with a wood burning fireplace is a huge hit, as is the large backyard, the Home Theater and game room that all give you a variety of places to relax in at the end of an exciting day!
