Spectacular Mountain Views - Guest House on Horse Ranch

Great solo or couples getaway. Unique experience in a private, peaceful and serene ranch setting with incredible mountain views. Just 7 miles from Bend, 13 miles to Sisters and 17 miles to Redmond with easy access off highway 20. No traffic noise, but you will hear the horses, cows, coyotes and other sounds of nature......

Free standing 1,000 square foot guesthouse / bunkhouse with a wrap around deck. The 8 horses are just outside your doorstep. Located on a therapeutic working Horse Ranch. The Bunkhouse has western flair ~ rustic western but new. Very clean. Full kitchen, dining area, spacious living room with comfy couches and recliner. A private bedroom and bath. Comfy Queen sized bed with memory foam topper and deluxe cotton or fleece sheets and down comforter.

Wrap around porch to enjoy watching sunsets and the horses on the ranch as well as the neighbors cows. Sip your coffee on the porch and you may spot our resident cottontail bunnies and other wildlife such as hawks and eagles. Fire pit & BBQ grill. Awesome mountain views with spectacular sunsets with irrigated pastures in the background. Wander around the old western themed town and take pictures with antique wagons and a stagecoach. A visit to the series 1883 and touch of the Yellowstone series experience. This is a small working ranch and you may see us doing chores around the ranch and get to watch the playful horses. A full ranch experience.

We feature Bend Soap which is manufactured locally by a neighborhood family owned business and is an all natural soap with sustainably sourced, all-natural ingredients. We also provide farm fresh eggs from another neighbor and juice for breakfast.

Located on a popular bike route on a low traffic road. It is a short, 5 minute drive or bike to Tumalo with several restaurants including Tumalo Feed Company, Pisano's Pizza and the The Bite food trucks. 7 miles to Bend for many other food options and Trader Joe’s. Near Tumalo state Park and lots of opportunities for biking, hiking, kayaking. Hike at nearby Tumalo Reservoir or Tumalo Falls. We are on a scenic bike route. We are near the Deschutes River, so bring your kayak to float the Deschutes from Tumalo State Park to Tumalo or visit the lakes on the way to Mt Bachelor or Sisters area.

The ranch is a wellness focused space that we share with guests seeking a serene retreat for rest and relaxation. We are not able to accommodate pets due to the liability and the safety of the livestock. We have a very friendly young ranch dog. The therapeutic ranch is a wellness facility and we do not allow smoking, vaping or drugs on the property. No parties. Quiet time after 9 PM. Owners live on the property. Parking to accommodate no more than 2 vehicles. Not appropriate for children under 12 as there is no yard area with this unit.

Cowboy Healing Magic
I’d say we were lucky to find this place for a last minute weekend adventure, but it found us. Perfectly located for hiking and kayaking in Central Oregon. Tammy introduced us to her therapy horses and it was a privilege to meet someone with such a vision for wellness in her community AND with an appreciation for old west whimsy. We loved all the detail in homage to cowboys and cowboy couture. Quiet, clean, calming. We look forward to coming back soon.

Everything you could need
The bunkhouse is comfortable with nice touches inside and out. The owners have created a unique western movie set on the property and the theme carries through inside the bunkhouse. The owners have also definitely spent some time being sure you have anything your could need during your stay. I only wish we had more time here.

Quick getaway
It was very nice to stay here for a short visit with area friends and quiet relaxing. The owners thought of so many little things inside to make the stay complete and their view of the sky was a bonus for watching the meteor shower.

Jon and Tammy are avid horse people. Jon has cowboyed on and off for most of his life and Tammy rode horses competitively for over 30 years in a wide variety of events. The ranch is home to a variety of horses including three mini horses, a Painted Haflinger and Haflinger driving team as well as Quarter horses and a Kiger Mustang. These horses serve as partners in a variety of activities and events that include providing therapeutic partnerships to clients in Tammy's mental health practice.

Jon and Tammy started this Wellness Ranch to support survivors of trauma and Veterans dealing with PTSD. Tammy is a licensed mental health therapist and the ranch offers integrative therapies including Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, yoga, acupuncture and mindfullness as well as rhythmic drumming.

Jon is responsible for the construction of the Old West town and all the remodeling and construction necessary to complete the ranch and the unique facilities. You will see Jon's western touch in the bunkhouse as well as throughout the ranch and in the one of a kind "Yoga SALOON".

The ranch is also home to the non-profit Central Oregon Wellness Ranch. The ranch offers an integrative and innovative program to our Veteran's.

Why they chose this property

If you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil place to chill out but yet be very close to Bend, Sisters, Redmond and the Mountain, this is the place for you. The views are even better than what you see in the pictures. Most guests spend time on the porch watching the amazing sunsets and sipping coffee or wine and taking in the view of the mountains.

What makes this property unique

Wake up to incredible sunrises and watch the playful horses. Spend time on the wrap around porch or in the bunkhouse watching the amazing sunsets. Fire pit just off the porch and surrounded by a covered wagon and an authentic Old West town. Sometimes the antique stagecoach is parked in town and other wagons and buggies.

Enjoy some cowboy coffee or roast marshmallows over the open fire. The mini horses are just outside your door. Enjoy the peaceful and scenic surroundings at the ranch as you watch the amazing sun setting behind the mountains.

Explore the old west ghost town that surrounds the Bunkhouse and check out the antique wagons. It is like stepping back in time......If you are a fan of" Yellowstone" or "1883" - You will love this ranch !! ( Yellowstone DVD's provided - all 4 seasons )
