We loved staying in this house! It is an old train station transformed into a fabulous airbnb. The hosts were the best hosts I've ever had. Would totally stay here again ____________________________________________________________________________ Julie
We absolutely loved our stay at the Station House! Susan was a wonderful host. She checked in periodically and let us know that she was available if we needed anything. I had mentioned that my partner and I were celebrating my birthday and there was even a birthday cake and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we got there. The house was charming and immaculate. It was clear that they spent lots of time and attention to making sure everything was sanitized and cleaned thoroughly which made traveling during these times worry free. The Gilford/Laconia area itself is super cute and there's lots to do. We went to the beach, ate yummy seafood and got to go to a drive-in movie. The fire-pit + s'mores fix-ins provided by Susan were an added bonus. Highly recommend!

The Station House was super clean and Susan is a wonderful host! She shared great tips for enjoying the area and she was readily available if needed. The location is fabulous if you are planning to attend a concert at the Bank of NH Pavilion.
The Station House in Gilford is absolutely wonderful. So charming. We loved the history. It was comfortable and clean and very peaceful and relaxing. Just what we needed.
The only reason I'm hesitant to leave a review is so this place stays available next time we're in town. Susan is GREAT and very responsive, she gave the option of checking in early and was on top of the one thing we brought to her attention. We'll definitely stay here again assuming it's not taken!!
Great location to explore from! Nearby restaurants, easy short drives to towns, attractions and Gunstock. Cute railroad themed decor, modern kitchen, washer/dryer, king bed- everything you need! Host very responsive and made sure all was well. We would stay again!
The Station House was very cozy and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable. My only recommendation would be for the bathroom…very small and could use some TLC. We would definitely recommend this though! We truly enjoyed our stay.
Great location and hosts!! So close to the venue, if you are a walker and the weather is right it is doable. Will stay again after the '24 schedule comes out.
Very Quaint old train station with all the modern amenities. Close to the lake and many attractions. Very comfortable. The hosts were A-1 and great to communicate with. They gave us many spot-on recommendations about where to go and eat.
This was our first trip to Lake Winnipesaukee, and the Station House is a wonderful location for exploring the various towns and state parks around the lake. Susan is a terrific host and really goes the extra mile to see that you are comfortable in this charming home and enjoy your stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this really cute house! Susan is wonderful to work with-best experience I have ever had with a host. Lots of extra touches that are meaningful. The yard is awesome. Our dog loved it! Great location, too!
Awesome location, cute cottage, roomy, comfortable & clean. Nice back yard with patio furniture to relax in.
Close to all the lakes for swimming & boating or kayaking.
Local short hikes with great vistas!
Susan is only a call away, and just up the road if we needed her. Next concert at the bank of NH pavilion, we'll be looking her up!
There is a reason this place has so many great reviews. It is really adorable, very comfortable, and in a great location. And the bed is amazingly comfortable. Hosts really go out of their way to make it a great place to be (robes, yummy treats). The backyard was great for our dog and the fire pit was so delightful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything!
We stayed over a long weekend for a concert at the nearby BofNH Paviliion - so close we could walk and avoid the traffic.
House is very comfortable and charming - Susan has thought of everything you might need - and it is there. She is a wonderful host - very flexible on check-in - and very helpful with guidance on local amenities. Recommend highly - we will be back.
We really enjoyed staying at the Station House. The decorations were great, and the home cozy and comfortable. It was clean and well stocked, and the host (Susan) was excellent at communicating. If you need anything, she is available, just contact her! It's a unique property with interesting history in a great location!
It has a dated charm but was very clean. The bathroom is small but has a large shower. The location was convenient to many things that we normally visit/ do when in the area each summer. Overall we enjoyed our stay and Susan checked in occasionally to see if we needed anything. Thank you Susan for being a great host.
The Station House stay was very good, especially for a first stay in the Lake Winnipesaukee area. The property was very convenient to Laconia and Meredith Bay attractions, yet quiet and cozy. The place was tidy, the yard was great for bonfire with good privacy, little road noise and a quiet neighborhood. Susan and Dutch went to lengths to be available and accommodating throughout our stay. Would definitely go back, the Station House would be a great stay summer, winter or fall! :)
We were in town for a concert at the Bank of NH Pavilion. This cottage is within walking distance so we were able to get home long before most people were getting out of the parking lot! Also, we were able to bring our dogs with us! The kitchen was well stocked and there was a very nice welcome gift for us when we got there! Close to all shops. Would definitely recommend!
We made reservation on short notice, Susan responded right away with confirmation. We arrived after dark but Susan had left lights on for us. The house was exactly as advertised, for us the fenced back yard was a key point for our dog. We cooked a few meals here and found the kitchen well stocked, this included snacks and wine - thank you Susan.
Highly recommend this property for a central location to NH. Plenty to do and numerous stores are a short drive.
We selected this property for its location and its unique charm. We were not disappointed the house was very comfortable, clean and charming. It is an older house so keep that in mind. Susan did a great job decorating it and making it feel like home. We arrived very late on Friday and Susan was nice enough to leave the lights on in the house for us so we were not struggling to check in. She checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Location is walking distance to the bank of New Hampshire Pavilion and a short drive to Gunstock Mountain which had some nice hiking trails. If we ever come back to the area we would stay here again..
Property was as stated in advertising. The owner, Susan, was very helpful in checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. At one point we contacted Susan to say the microwave was not working. She had a new microwave delivered the same day. We found out my wife had placed a towel on top that was interfering with the closing of the door. I apologized to Susan and she said it was no big deal and the new microwave could be returned.
This house was adorable and in a great location at decent price point. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the house was comfortable and had everything we needed and more. We will be back!
