This house had one of the prettiest views of a house I've ever stayed in. Lots of bedrooms. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed! Even in December! We thought the location was great, had wonderful meals of seafood, fresh muffins etc close by. We would love to stay again with our kids!

Looking forward to having you back next time you are in San Diego
We stayed here while in San Diego for a week, and this house provided the perfect home base. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was convenient, quiet, and made it easy for us to get where we needed to be. The host was responsive and check-in/check-out was smooth. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a thoughtful and comfortable stay in San Diego!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this home: it was spacious, had new central AC, indoor & outdoor dining areas, heated pool, hot tub, and spectacular views of San Diego Bay and the Naval Base. Hans was an attentive host. He was quick to respond to questions before our trip. He went above & beyond to give us all the comforts of home: free WiFi, new gas grill, pack-n-play for toddler, new beach towels, ice chest. The home is in great location, easy access to downtown, restaurants, boating, Coronado. We could’ve stayed longer just to enjoy the home!

The house is quirky and interesting but the VIEW is AMAZING! We loved the integration between the house and the back patio/pool which allowed for a time to stay together. All in all a GREAT home that we would definitely stay at again.

We appreciate feedback from all of our guest groups. For all guests, we are happy to send out our cleaning crew for a re-clean of any problem areas at no cost. This offer is not only good on the day of arrival but at any time during our guest's stay. Guests only need to communicate this to us, which this guest did not.
Our cleaning crews are people who work hard and have in fact increased their cleaning durations and depths during these times of COVID. We are spending more hours cleaning with larger cleaning crews, using more disinfectant and bleach-based products than before, and providing all guests with a special COVID Kit containing disposable plates, dishes and silverware, gloves, and masks and hand sanitizer and other useful items free of charge.
This particular property is maintained in mid-century modern vintage condition and it may be that this guest associated the vintage condition of a "not brand new" 60-year-old property being the same as not clean. As we did not hear anything from the guest during their stay, we are unable to know if this was the case. Since we have 10 properties to choose from, we can offer our guests their choice of 9 other properties if they do decide that a vintage mid-century modern property is not their "cup of tea" after check-in.
The most important thing is that all of our guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay at each of our properties.
The property is located on top a secluded area with breathtaking views....Especially from the Jacuzzi. The home is spacious and styled well. The property manager Hans was friendly and attentive to all our needs. Will definitely return :)

I travel quite a lot and stay at a lot of different VRBO’s and this one, by far, has been the most amazing. It is absolutely gorgeous, with one of the best views in San Diego. The home is unique and beautifully decorated. Hans was an attentive and an absolute charm.

Brian-Thank you so much for the kind words. We would love to have you back anytime!
Our family had a great stay here! The view was truly amazing! Great neighborhood with lots of good restaurants nearby. Location was great for going to all the main attractions - zoo, beaches, etc.
Things to be aware of: The house did get warm due to no AC. The pool hours were slightly inhibiting if you have kids that wake up early.
Overall we had a great stay and the manager was very good to work with!

The house was super comfortable, clean, and tastefully maintained in the period design/decor.
Other guests have mentioned how many light switches there were. It’s true! But we found them as a charming part of a truly historic home and beautiful home.
Pool was super clean and refreshing. Jacuzzi was great and had amazing views of San Diego.
Hans was great before during and after our stay.
What a gem!

Thank you for the kind words. So happy you enjoyed the property. Would love to have you back anytime.
When you walk in the front door, the view takes your breath away! Loved the architecture of the house, and the unique original appointments that have been saved from when it was built in 1961. The pool was sparkling clean, we rarely used the beautiful and large living room, because we were outside most of the time. It is a wonderful house, very private, tucked away at top of the hill. Everyone in our family enjoyed immensely and have a million pictures. All necessities close by, easy to get anywhere in the city. It is a "will be back" property!

Thank you so much Barbara! Hope you and Paul are well!
The house is a classic custom mid-century modern design. We chose it because of the style and uniqueness and it did not disappoint. The views are every bit as good as the pictures and it is very quiet and peaceful to sit out on the patio and watch the sail boats in the harbor. Classic furnishings with a lot of personality. Interesting history of the original owner and the architect - worth looking up. It is an older house that has some wear, but that is what we expected for a home that has the style preserved. Good access to airport, downtown and right by Shelter Island and the new Liberty Station development. We enjoyed our stay.
City and Bay views are the best around. We spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the view of the city, the Bay, Coronado Bridge and North Island with a spectacular sunrise and city lights at night. BBQ and enjoy the pool and the view. The house is a grand Mid-Century modern and on the San Diego Historic Register. Accept that she is aging well and you will learn to love her. The kitchen was adequate for all our needs. The master suite is large. The electrical system is a bit quirky but was not a problem. The Navy jets are loud but we love the show. No A/C but we had a constant ocean breeze and did not need it. Would certainly come back.
