About this property

Stylish living in the village square with a large terrace overlooking the Morvan

The house was built in 1928 and lies at the edge of the peaceful village square of the small South Burgundy village of Saint-Didier-sur-Arroux, which is located in the Regional Morvan Nature Reserve. The house offers a magnificent view of the undulating pastures in which the white Charolais cattle roam, of the Etang de Bousson and of the southern flanks of the wooded Morvan Mountains.

The annex to the house was in use as a smithy until the sixties of the last century. The village square was then in use to shoe the horses of the farmers and nobilty and to repair farming equipment.

The village has about 250 inhabitants, most of them live on farms in the surrounding area. In the village itself, you will find, aside from our restaurant La Petite Auberge several houses, a post office, the town hall, the school, the church and a flea/antiques market operated by a Dutch couple.

Cosy restored house with beautiful view

We felt very much at home in this old smithy stylishly restored in the old way. A place to come to rest enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Beautiful views everywhere.

The property was everything the ad said. Well equipped and stylish furnishing and decor. The village is very quiet - one restaurant and a tea room/brocante. Well located to many places if you have a car. Also good for walks around local lanes and villages.

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in dit prachtige huis! Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen, voelden we ons meteen welkom. Het huis is ontzettend sfeervol, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Alles was netjes verzorgd en er is duidelijk veel aandacht besteed aan comfort en details.De locatie is ook geweldig en maakte ons verblijf helemaal compleet. We hebben volop genoten van de rust, de omgeving en natuurlijk van het huis zelf. Het voelde echt als een plek waar je even helemaal kunt ontspannen en tot rust kunt komen.De communicatie met de verhuurder was prettig, snel en vriendelijk. Alles was duidelijk geregeld en we voelden ons goed geholpen wanneer dat nodig was.Kortom: een heerlijke plek waar we met veel plezier op terugkijken. We zouden dit huis absoluut aanraden en komen hier graag nog eens terug! Een dikke 5 sterren!

Séjour parfait pour un week end avec un couple d'amis. Super accueil et échanges avec la propriétaire très sympathique. Panorama magnifique. Propreté impeccable, chambres spacieuses et literie très ferme. logement très cosy style "maison de poupée". Tout est bien pensé et joliment aménagé.

Wir haben uns sehr über die geschmackvoll mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Wohnung gefreut. Die Vermieterin ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Sie war präsent, gerne zu einem Plausch bereit und gab Tipps zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants in der Region. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das Haus ist einladend und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben alles vorgefunden was wir für einen erholsamen Urlaub brauchten. Unsere Vermieterin war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns gerne auch einige Tipps für unsere Unternemungen gegeben. Auch die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war sehr unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses liebevolle Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Mooie plek aan de rand van de Morvan

De gastvrouw regelde voor ons een plek om onze fietsen veilig te stallen.Inchecken en vertrek verliep vlot. We konden haar gemakkelijk contacteren.Alles was in huis aanwezig ( keuken en badkamer).Het enige minpuntje was het zicht van op het terras : van op de foto's dachten we een zicht te hebben op de omgeving, Dit was enkel zo vanuit een specifieke plek, eigenlijk kijk je op het terras uit op het plein (wel een rustig en mooi plein) en heb je door de planten toch wel een vakantiegevoel op het terras.Heel comfortabel ingericht huis met goede bedden en airconditioning.Een aanrader.

wunderbar - die Terrasse vor Haus haben wir früh und abends immer genutzt - wenn es zu warm war, halfen die Klimaanlagen - die Umgebung ist sehr schön - und nicht zuletzt: die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und war äußerst hilfsbereit (auch bei der Vermittlung einer Werkstatt nach einer Autopanne)

Merveilleux

Ein wunderschöner und sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt im Morvan. Alles war genau wie beschrieben. Die freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin hat uns viele Tips für Ausflüge, Einkäufe (Boulangerie in St.-Leger-s-Beauvry!), Restaurants (Auberge de Poil) gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder! .

Rust, gastvrijheid en schoonheid in een oorspronkelijk landschap.

Als je rust zoekt, een prachtig landschap met mooie verstilde dorpjes en een omgeving waarin het ideaal is om te fietsen en te wandelen dan ben je in Saint Didier sur Arroux op de juiste plaats. In de omgeving zijn verder diverse mogelijkheden tot het bezoeken van stedelijk schoon en interessante zaken uit de oudheid. Er zijn voldoende restaurantjes aanwezig waar je tegen redelijke prijzen kunt vertoeven. De eigenaresse wist zich als waardige en aardige gastvrouw gastvrouw te gedragen.
