We stayed here with our 8 week old daughter and mini goldendoodle. We spent most of our time on the go so this was a perfect spot for crashing. It was the perfect long weekend option.
We had a great stay! Property was as expected and described. Very clean and easy check in process. We loved the location and rode our bikes all over Carolina Beach. Only a mile to the boardwalk! Also, we loved the Hops Brewery just down the street that had free frisbee golf.
My husband, dog, and I got away for the weekend just a bit before beach season. We got lucky with great weather! Our favorite eats came from Seaworthy Kitchen & Bar (awesome mac & cheese) and Kate's Pancake house (Sweet Potato Bliss Pancakes omg). We spent a lot of time beaching at Freeman Park and walking the trails at Carolina Beach State Park. Everything seems very family and dog friendly in the area. Probably wouldn't have stayed here if we were traveling without our dog. Overall great place to stay if you have a car to get you around.
Was exactly what I needed. Quiet and located really close to Kure Beach and Fort Fisher. Unit was well equipped with full size appliances. My dog loved the fenced yard. Owner was very accommodating. All in all, a great experience. Will definitely stay there again.
Beautiful beach retreat with privacy and dogs welcome!
Very impressed of how clean the apartment was with a full operating kitchen with new appliances. Very well decorated in every room. The bed was surprisingly very comfortable. The open covered patio opened up to an inclosed fenced back yard was a special treat for our dogs to play without being leashed. We will use this place again.
It was amazing the property was close to everything. Communication was great. The only problem I did have was the cleanliness of the room i did book a pet friendly spot but the dog hair was a lot and the smell of dog was very strong. But once I cleaned and got everything right I was very satisfied I will most definitely book with them again!!
Easy check in and place was VERY clean. Full kitchen was available and I could have cooked. Bathroom was large with plenty of space to spread out. Since I was coming back in after dark, I brought my own flashlight and walked into backyard with nice gravel path to rear of home with concrete patio overlooking large backyard. Would have been a great location for my dog to run around and enjoy. Process was easy from booking to checking out. Would stay here again!
This was the perfect spot for our weekend trip. We weren’t going to be “home” much during our trip so we didn’t care about how spacious it was. Last minute our daughter needed to join and she actually loved having the cozy little room/bed that was tucked away. The space was very clean and cutely decorated. You would never know you were stayed in a guest suite with how quiet the owners are! Very easy to come and go as you please with the gated system around back. Only thing I would say is to make sure to bring shampoo/soap that you need since it isn’t provided. We always do anyway but just a good heads up. We would definitely stay again.

I think they could improve by offering more amenities like a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and more soap. The unit didn't have any paper towels. It only can fit 3 people comfortably with a queen bed and twin bed. My dog loved it and I am glad I didn't have to pay extra for her.
9/10 Great Location, clean, quiet neighbors , great space for dogs outside, host responsive
I am usually a hotel stayer in the town of Wilmington, when traveling to North Carolina but this time we decided to stay closer to the beach and I’m so glad that we did. This location was perfectly close enough to walk to the boardwalk/shops/beach, cafes, restaurants. Perfect for dogs to run outside and nature trails right outside the door. Also QUIET even with neighbors! The hosts were so kind and able to respond immediately to all concern, even asked us for more towels and whatnot. Only reason I say 9/10 was dust/fur behind chairs/under bed. Will definitely come back!!!
My wife and I truly enjoyed our visit to Seas The Day at Carolina Beach.
The unit was sparkling clean and comfortable. We got lucky and had a few nice days and were able to hang out on the patio with our dogs. The fenced-in backyard was a luxury that is hard to find.
We will certainly consider staying here again in the future.
Two things that could have made our stay ever:
1. A baking sheet
2. Hotpads
We like to cook in a little bit when we travel, and wanted to make a frozen pizza (which we did), but having a backing sheet to put it on and hotpads to get it out of the oven would have been nice.
Thanks,
David
My boyfriend and I brought our two dogs to stay for the week before memorial day. The place was very clean. As the pictures show, it is on the small side, but the big backyard really makes up for it. We spent most of our time sitting outside at the patio table. Since it was just the two of us, we used the small room with the bed as storage for out luggage/beach equipment. There is another rental upstairs. We only overlapped with those guests for one night, but keep in mind that you could have people above you. We were able to hear when their dogs were running around but it wasnt too loud. Because Carolina Beach is so small, its hard to be far away from anything so you are super close to the park and the beach was only a few minutes drive away. Only one small critique. There was only a thin quilt on the bed for a blanket, so if you are like me and like to sleep in a cold room but with a thick blanket, you might want to pack an extra one! Otherwise, we plan to come back here for our next trip to Carolina beach!
Beautifully updated space and large backyard where our dogs were able to enjoy a little vacation as well. The location was perfect and close to everything.
The bed however was terribly uncomfortable as we felt all the springs, we woke up feeling sore every morning. I think a mattress topper would have made a difference. The pillows were very flat as well. I did not sleep the first night. The air vent over top of the bed was blasting freezing cold air all night, it was loud and strong. I ended up sleeping in the small closet room with my 9 month old the last night. The main bedroom could use a functional small or dimmer light like a lamp. Overall it’s a beautiful space, I think there’s an opportunity for improvement for future guests!
We drove in from Ohio on our way to SC to surprise a friend for their 40th birthday. It was last minute so we only had a few options to choose from. The price was steep for what you get, but it was rated good and only 1 mile from the party we were attending, so we booked it.
We were scheduled to arrive a bit early (2:30) but check-in wasn't until 4, so I messaged the host if it was available to get in a bit early. They responded that it would be a $50 fee, on top of the $350 we already paid. Needless, to say we opted to grab a late lunch and drinks instead. When arriving to the rental, after 4, I had to message and then call the host because no information was provided to check in. She was however, quick to respond.
Aside from the layout being weird the place was pretty clean.
Overall, it fit our needs for one night, but wouldn't recommend it for any length of time.
