Cute & clean inside - some issues to fix

Cute, well appointed and clean. Perfect for my teen son, dog, and myself. Definitely need 4WD/AWD! Kinks to still work out….Broken shower, some outdoor lights not working correctly, some dirty glasses, and outdoor space could use tidying. I live in the woods so I appreciate it’s going to be messy. This was more moss and less tidy than I would expect. Local staff was very hospitable responsive to shower issue though nothing offered for the inconvenience. It’s a good spot to stay they just need to work out some of these issues so that guests can truly enjoy it rather than think about what isn’t working.

Amazing cabin in the woods

We came for the Land of Oz event. This cabin is super close to the ski resort. The hot tub was in perfect working condition. Kitchen and bathroom was greatly equipped. Loved every minute. Thank you!

Great place but needs improvement.

Loved the location. Great views and close to ski results. Probably too far to Boone. Fireplace doesn’t work and in disrepair. Way to many remote controls for things. Heat in main area very slow to warm. Overall fine but could use some upkeep.

Woodsy get away

Great cabin, but mold/mildew issues need attention. I would have rated it 5 stars otherwise. The outdoor seating area is fantastic and you will see deer close up. This was base camp for hiking and relaxing afterward. A large bear tipped the garbage enclosure at night so they are around. There is no information about the cabin workings or Beech Mountain so wing it. WiFi is spotty which is not unexpected. Enjoy!

It was ok

Like the location and the inside was clean. Outside needs freshened up and dejunked. Propane tank for fireplace ran out on the first night. Wi-Fi code from vacasa is wrong but there is a little sheet of paper on a table with the correct password and network name. Some of the lights don’t work. Location is nice and quiet. Place has a lot of potential but I will choose a different place next trip.

5th ANNIVERSARY TRIP

The dome treehouse is so cute! The only thing i would change is to clean up the outside, make the fire pit lights work, and buy new furniture for the living room as both couches are broken. It's been mentioned in multiple reviews and hasnt been addressed. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay, we went to a concert (Amos Lee), and enjoyed our 2 night get away. We would stay again as the things that need updating don't make or break a place, but it would be nice to have some weedeating, trash picked up, and just overall clean up as mentioned above.

Worst beds ever

No lights on when we arrived. The steps were completely in the dark the beds were worse than camping cots. The tv had multiple remotes we ended up watching tv in my room on the uncomfortable beds. The Jett’s in the hot tub did not work and my bed had a Hugh blue stain in the middle of the bed cover

Meh

pros: Hot tub and location are positives. It was amazing since we got to view deer while in the hot tub. If you watched The Lion King as a child, upstairs brings back memories. I cannot criticize the location because it was so near to the slopes. Even at night, we felt secure. cons: There was dog hair all throughout, so I had to clean up the place before I felt at ease to relax. The shower curtains in the master bedroom had mold, which is disgusting. When we got there, the sofas needed to be replaced since they were broken. There isn't any heat in the bedrooms unless you keep the doors open, although to be honest, we occasionally got warm from the living room's central heating. All in all, I think this place would work for younger groups but not older people.

Rest and Reset

We stayed in the domed house for 4 days! We loved the house itself!! Outside of the house the porch, and fire pit area needs some TLC. There was broken glass around the outside of the fire pit. The porch needs a good pressure washing and some paint. The hot tub was dirty, but has plenty of chlorine in the water. Definitely would stay here again!

My new favorite place!

This place was perfect for our family. Although the winding roads to get there is an adventure!! The house was clean and had most things we needed. The porch could of used some tender loving care, but it is in the middle of tons of trees. We even got to see a momma and baby deer. We will definitely be back!

Unique Design - Home Close to Slopes

The home is so unique in its design with a loft fit for Heidi, an old children’s book written by Spyri. The grandsons were immediately drawn to the loft, and the children’s furniture enhances its intrigue. Two bedrooms and baths downstairs provide excellent creature comfort for the adults and the great room encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room with the massive stone fireplace provides a warm and perfect environment for socializing. The landscape outdoors with the fire pit surrounded by moss covered boulders was another great amenity. We wish we could have stayed longer.

A Cozy Gem on Beech Mountain

We booked a weekend stay at this wonderful cabin. Truly, we had a lovely experience. Very cozy. The beds were super comfortable! We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit! And if you are coming for Oz, it’s literally across the street!

Needsajor updates and ACCURATE online pictures

Not at all what we expected based on the pictures online. We drove up to the property and first things we noticed was how I ergrownthe area was especially around the fire pit. We walked along the porch area that desperately needs a cleaning and some repairs to the front door. We opened the door to a very dingy, dim lighted home. There were crumbs on the coffee table, the ceiling fan light didn't work, so we were practically in the dark. The master bedroom mattress needs replacing as it sinks in the middle. The hall shower head had broken pieces and doesn't work. The hot tub cover had not been cleaned. We booked the property for 3 nights and stayed only for one night. We repeatedly asked for a partial refund we opened the lid to a funky smell. they have our money so what do they careell, not inviting at alltub

Vacasa failure

Great location, just barely adequate kitchen to cook food. Plan on eating out. The grill was out of propane, the hot tub was cold and the coffee maker’s glass carafe was broken into a dozen pieces. I communicated these issues to Vacasa the day we arrived and three days later , when we left, nothing was fixed. Vacasa was responsive but it was all lip service. They had our money so what do they really care. The only real solution they had was for me to go find a propane tank and submit a receipt for reimbursement. That’s unacceptable considering we drove past the local office to get to our property. The best thing the owners could do is remove this property from Vacasa and manage it themselves.

Smells so bad

This house smelled so badly like litter box or feces. My husband had a pretty bad allergic reaction. He had difficulty breathing while staying in the living room so he stayed in the bedroom constantly. They kept telling us someone would come and deep clean the place but that didn’t happen. Vacasa said the local team would be contacting us but that didn’t happen either. We were denied to switch to a different place because this was apparently the first time someone complained. Well that wasn’t true. The roll out bed had a huge stain, so my daughter couldn’t even sleep on it. We kept asking every day to come and clean but that didn’t happen. We had to leave a day earlier because my husband had difficulty breathing in this place. And we received no refund. All they gave us was 50% back from the cleaning fee. What a joke! Not a good customer service and won’t be renting anything with Vacasa.

Great weekend getaway

The house was just as described. It was enough room for our family of 5, close enough to everything we wanted to do, & hot tub was great! The only issues, which were not deal breakers & I’d still stay again, were the fact the the loft is super hot for whoever stays up there and the smell of sewage. I assume it is coming from the garage disposal. We bought a candle and some febreeze spray and it was fine. We would definitely stay here again!
