About this property
Dragonfly Inn
The Dragonfly Inn is a beautiful 2150 sq ft residence with a private entrance to the lower level of a two-story home. Nestled on the east bench of the Wasatch mountains, you will have stunning views of Mt. Olympus and the Salt Lake Valley. You are just 16 miles from the airport, 18 miles to Alta Ski Resort, 25 miles to Park City, and 9 miles to downtown Salt Lake. This spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom has a living room with a TV, gaming table/dining table, hammocks, a loft, and a kitchen. The billiard room has a fireplace, bar, and the pool table doubles as a ping pong table. You can relax on the deck at the fire pit or in the hammock enjoying the views of the mountains and city. Bedroom 1 has two twin beds. These two beds can also be made into a king if you prefer. Just let me know. Bedroom 2 has a king bed. If some people don't mind sleeping on an air mattress with a headboard, this place can sleep up to 8 people. You will be within walking distance of trails that overlook the entire Salt Lake valley. Millcreek Canyon is around the corner and has some of the best hiking and snowshoeing trails in the area. You will have easy access to both the Park City and Salt Lake ski resorts. This is a great home base to access the best that Utah and Salt Lake have to offer or just to relax and enjoy family and friends.

Dawn was a wonderful host; she was able to accommodate our reservation at the last minute. The Dragonfly was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed for an amazing vacation. The space is large, and Dawn provides lots of extras to make your stay feel special. Thank you Dawn, we will be back in the future!
The house was amazing and we had plenty of space for our family of 5. The view was beautiful and the added amenities were a bonus. I have stayed in multiple homes and this by far was one of the best. Thanks again!
Great Home base for skiing 4 cottonwood canyon resorts.
Property was as advertised. Extremely clean and comfortable and host Dawn was responsive to questions. Great communications, easy check in and check out. Thanks for a great stay!
Dawn was a great host and space was perfect. Lots of room to spread out either by the fireplace, on the couch, in a hammock, or around the kitchen table. Beautiful views and great residential neighborhood for evening walks. Would highly recommend!
The view across the valley and into the mountains was incredible. The neighborhood is quiet and close to beltway for access to skiing and downtown activities.
This place made our family vacation so much more special. Not only was the place clean and beautiful but it had plenty of things to keep the kids busy. The bedding was amazing and the entire place comfy and relaxing. The host also left delicious homemade cookies during our stay. When we make our way back to Salt Lake City, we will be reaching out and rebooking this spot! Highly recommend.
Really well done. The space is larger than the pictures suggest, and really comfortable. Host has gone out of her way to treat guests well, and it shows.
My father had to have surgery.
This place was close drive to the university.
The host was one of the best hosts I have had at an Vrbo.
I highly recommend this place!
Dawn was wonderful and her place is amazing. Incredible view of the valley and very convenient to the ski areas. Larger than expected. Besides 2 nice bedrooms there is a large combined dining & TV room, and a seperate nice large rec room with a nice pool/ping pong table - and nice big porch in front of that. I highly recommend this place.
We really enjoyed our stay, the place is very clean and many details are planned out. Like tons of board games. A fire pit with pokers. A pool table/ping pong table. Great contact with the owner. I would definitely stay here again.
This house had tremendous reviews when I was looking for a vrbo for a trip my wife and I were taking to SLC to visit our son at the U of U. This one did not disappoint and lived up to all the great reviews. The house was in a fantastic location and had everything we needed. The best was going out in the mornings and laying in the hammock on the balcony and enjoying the view and temperature.
Owner and host, Dawn, was super communicative and was quick to respond with any questions we had. She made our stay so pleasant and everything was spelled out for us and easy to find or figure out.
Without a doubt will stay here again when we come back to Utah to visit our son.
If you are looking for a comfortable relaxing place in SLC for summer hiking, winter skiing or any other reason, this is the place. Its location in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains overlooking the valley and the Oquirrh Mountains in the distance offers amazing views and easy access to 6 world class ski resorts. It is a large place with plenty of rooms to have time to yourself or gather in the bar/billiards room, the living/TV room, or the sizable outdoor covered deck with a comfortable seating and a fire pit and those views (great for sunrises and sunsets). Dawn is the best host I have had in dozens of stays around the country. Very responsive, friendly, and caring about you having a good stay. We will be back!
We were very happy with our stay. We had 4 grandbabbies, one is infant. They had toys, large dollhouse and kid movies. We enjoyed the fire pit and view. Went to the aquarium and park nearby. Had plans to go to big swimming pool at rec center but never made it. The host was delightful. Never complained about our noise level. 4 small children are hard to keep entertained. Lol. Loved our stay.
Beautiful house overlooking the valley. The house is incredibly spacious, lots of room for two adults and three kids. My younger kids slept in the loft and hammocks, they loved the whole treehouse feel of it. The bar area was my favorite. It was a great place to sit and read. The fireplace was the perfect place to sit and relax after a day in the snow. This house is very centrally located between Park City and the Cottonwood Canyons, we went to both during our stay. Dawn is very accommodating, although we didn't need much because everything you could want is right there! I had some concern about the road after a giant snowstorm, but it was plowed very quickly. We had no problems getting a minivan up to the house at any point. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again!
First of all, the title of this review has nothing to do specifically with my experience, it’s just the thing that has been rattling in my head after watching online clips of Kamala Harris.
Now, about the property. This is an area of Salt Lake that I really love, especially the view of the mountain side from the porch and access to Mill Creek canyon, which is just a few blocks away. The balcony was a large space that worked well to gather outside. The kids loved the loft and pool/ping pong table.
The space was comfortable for six, 2 adults and 4 kids. We didn’t do any cooking there other than toasting some bagels but we did see there was a hot plate available and any utensils/dishes that would be needed.
Overall had a great experience and checking in and leaving was easy.
The Dragonfly Inn is absolutely wonderful. Do not hesitate to book. You will NOT be disappointed! We stayed at the Dragonfly during a recent visit (July) to SLC. This is the lower level of a beautiful home built into the mountainside in a great neighborhood. The lower level entrance to the space is around back down a few steps (across a fun putting green). The home is meticulously kept and the views of the city and mountains from the deck are amazing. The ceilings are high, the rooms are huge and there is plenty of space to spread out. It was very cool and comfortable inside (even when it was 100 outside) and you never knew the owners live upstairs. The kitchen is small but it has everything you could ever need. The finishes are all high end, the furniture and beds are super comfortable and the linens are luxurious. This is a 5 place for sure! Our son enjoyed the hammock on the deck (and in the living room) and he loved the giant beanbag and loft play area. There were tons of games and activities to keep everyone entertained. The host Dawn was incredibly responsive and provided great suggestions for hiking, food and activities in the area. She was so friendly and kind and she truly thought of every detail to make this space perfect for guests. She even left us a homemade treat at the door during our stay which was a delicious surprise. We loved our stay at the Dragonfly. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.Thank you Dawn!
We came to ski SLC area and stayed in Dawn’s amazing VRBO. So comfortable and amazing views. Easy to get to ski areas and downtown, loved the pool table and the classy bar vibe!
I cannot summarize this vrbo better than exceptional. Dawn is quick to respond and has not missed a thing at Dragonfly. Everything you need or can think of is here. While we did not travel with kids, this is perfect for families, no doubt. Gorgeous views of the mountains off the deck. If we come back this way, we would definitely stay here again!
We had the best time staying at this property. This place was so well equipped with anything and everything you need. We had a blast playing ping pong and pool. Dawn is a great host and we’ll definitely stay here again.
I had a wonderful stay at The Dragonfly Inn over Labor Day Weekend. Dawn was an attentive, thoughtful host, and the property itself is beyond gorgeous. Mt. Olympus can be seen from almost every window in the space. Staying at The Dragonfly Inn felt more like a luxury hotel than it did a VRBO. Would recommend to groups big and small!
