Ocean Cottage 119 Turtles Nest II The Cottages at Jekyll Island newest oceanfront vacation rental, conveniently located one building from the Clubhouse, with a zero-entry pool and beach access. The location and amenities are especially fantastic for families with children. 3 bed 3.5 bath sleeps 6. Open concept floor plan with kitchen, dining, and living area open to a screened lower porch and paver patio with gas grill. Fully outfitted kitchen with stainless appliances, Keurig, and Mr. Coffee coffee makers. First-floor oceanfront master suite (KING), stack laundry, and single-car garage. The second floor offers two master suites each with a QUEEN bed. Both guest suites open to the large upper balcony with comfortable outdoor seating with spectacular views of the Atlantic. The second-floor landing area includes a love seat and TV for video game system hookup. Cottage amenities include a portable highchair, pack-n-play, 4 beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys, kayak, paddle board, and two adult and 2 kid bikes. In addition, guests have access to The Cottages at Jekyll Island's million-dollar amenities, which include Clubhouse, zero-entry pool and fitness, beach deck, beach access and a community fire pit. Turtles Nest II is an end unit located adjacent to Turtles Nest I, also an end unit (see Ocean Cottage 120). If you are looking for a multi-family or extended family vacation, these units are a great option to keep your group together.

BEACH ACCESS AT THE COTTAGES
Overview: The Cottages beach is about 2,000 feet long, featuring a dune area and seawall.
Access Points: There are three dune crossovers to the sandy area, always accessible for recreation. Main access is near the pool and clubhouse.
Tide Information: At high tide, water reaches the seawall, changing every six hours. Check a tide chart to plan your beach time.
Nearby Facilities: Oceanview Beach Park, about 2 miles south past the Holiday Inn, offers all-day ocean access. Explore all Jekyll Island beaches on their website.
Important Note: Storms may affect beach crossover access, and we cannot guarantee beach access at all times.

Probably best location in Jekyll island

We stayed with friends and family, location was great property was in an amazing neighbourhood, very clean maintained, upstairs rooms are a bit smaller for our needs but otherwise one of the best places we stayed in.

Jekyll Island Paradise

Plenty of room, for a family of seven. Loved hearing the ocean every night at bedtime. Also enjoyed the quiet pace on the island.

Great Stay!

Clean and updated house. Very nice. Visited Driftwood Beach, Sea Turtle Sanctuary and played at the beach. Great BBQ at Jekyll Market. Will come again!

The property is just as advertised. Beautiful home, nicely decorated with comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal, tons of cottage amenities (bicycles, beach toys, beach chairs, etc) and nice community amenities (large community pool and well-equipt fitness center).

Beachfront Beauty

The house was beautiful! Attractively decorated, clean and fully stocked with all kitchen essentials. Perfect layout with full private bathrooms for each of the three bedrooms. Location was beachfront and ideal for exploring all of JI. Pool/beach towels were not provided which was an inconvenience since we all flew in from the Northeast. Other than that, I would recommend this home for any type of gathering!

Fabulous VRBO

This house is incredible in both location and amenities. Our group of 10 had plenty of room. The AC works great and the hot water allowed showers upon showers after lazy days in the sand. My only compliant / suggestion - add hooks. With so few places to hang towels and wet swim suits we had to get creative. I hope we will be back next summer.

Everything you need for a relaxing stay!

I’ve been coming to Jekyll Island since I was a little girl but this was the best place I’ve ever stayed. It was clean and comfortable. All the necessities were provided: bedding, towels, beach towels and even a few bicycles. The kitchen was well equipped, too. We were a short bike ride (like 5 minutes) from Driftwood Beach and only a bit further to the lovely historic district. We were able to watch the sunrise over the water every morning which was magical and I LOVED all the sea turtle decor. Highly recommend this house! It was VERY close to the pool and beach access as well. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent Stay

We loved this home, especially the fact that each of the 3 main bedrooms had a beautiful view and its own bathroom. The kids bunk room was an added bonus. Spacious and well stocked kitchen made cooking Thanksgiving dinner a breeze.

3 day gas leak

There was a gas leak that we weren’t told about. We arrived on Saturday and we were without hot water until late Monday. There were 2 elderly family members with dementia in our party. Try explaining to them there’s a gas leak that’s non-threatening and they either have to take an ice cold shower or bath or not shower for 3 days. We were only refunded 1 night’s stay. Property management was less than helpful and put the majority of the blame on the owner. The neighbors were more helpful than anyone, but unfortunately they couldn’t comp us. We have about 10-12 groups of 4 or more women who stay at this property for the GWGA 4-ball golf tournament…needless to say, we won’t be back.

Getaway with family

We were 6 adults. Kitchen was good for a rental. Sharp knives, plenty of cook and serve ware. Unit was exactly as presented. Only "issue" was that the 1st floor bed was super high. My mobility challenged father in his late 80's and my short mother had trouble with it. (A kitchen stepstool helped my mom).

This property is first class. Beautifully furnished well appointed and comfortable! Highly recommend. A few comments that should be addressed. The king size sheets are horrible. Cheap and so bally they felt like sandpaper. Either fireplace with quality linens befitting the place and price or advise renters to bring their own . The kitchen should have at least salt and pepper and dishwasher liquid.

Beautiful home and view

This beach house was one of the best we’ve rented. It’s a beautiful home with lovely views of the ocean. The living space and king and queen bedrooms were a great size. The neighborhood and pool were super close and convenient. It was our first time on Jekyll Island, and we will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Vacation Spot!

This is our 2nd trip to The Cottages at Jekyll Island and our first stay in this particular cottage. We loved this unit - beautifully decorated and wonderful amenities. The facility (pool, access to beach, etc) are first rate. We will be back!

Perfect in every way!!

We could not have been happier with the cottage. It was just lovely, everything we had hoped for and MORE. The beach vibe of the decorating was inviting and added to the overall relaxing feeling of the house. The turtle decorations were very much in keeping with the turtle theme that is strong on the Island due to the Turtle Rescue Center. Plenty of lovely dishes and everything we needed in the kitchen. It was a bit chilly and our time was limited so we were not able to use the SUP, boogie boards or kayaks but we hope to return so we can use them another time. The bikes were wonderful and we used them to tour the Island and travel through the many paths in the Maritime Forest! (we were also able to teach our young niece how to ride a bike!) Stay at Jekyll Island

Property was in excellent location. Views were phenomenal and home was so nice. Check in was super easy and we had no major issues. However, I contacted the property management company twice by email to get the address and got no response. I finally called them and spoke to the receptionist and was given the wrong address twice. After finally getting a call back and the right address we were able to find it. Also, it the cleaning could have been better. There were nail clippings on one of the beds, hairs on the remote control and grease and dirt on several pots that we tried to use. But, we would still rent the place again and hope that these issues would be addressed.

Coming Back to this Cozy Cottage

Everything about this cottage is as advertised and the check-in/check-out process is easy and convenient. It’s location, décor and amenities make it an ideal place to stay. Even if it rains most of your visit, when you can sleep next to the ocean and listen to the waves hit the shore, it’s perfect. And when Driftwood Beach is within walking distance, there is no better place to be. We are very familiar with Jekyll Island having been married on St. Simons Island nearly 15 years ago. This was our first time booking a rental cottage on JI and from now on this is the way to go – and this is the cottage we’ll come back to.
