This place was a gem! It was charming, cozy, and had everything we needed for a great getaway. The beautiful beach was nearby, and the location couldn't have been better since it was close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

This little cottage was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed being within walking distance of the lake as well as the private and quiet seclusion of the cottage. The only downfall was that one of the rooms had the bed against three walls. So if the person next to you had to use the restroom in the middle of the night, they had to climb over the other person. We survived! But understand, it is a small lake cottage and those are the quirks. The other rooms were all a nice size. We enjoyed watching the deer in the yard! That was a nice surprise. We ate on the rooftop of The Stray Dog in New Buffalo and really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Jim was great host—communicative and responsive. Check in was a breeze and he made sure everything was to our liking. Very quant and comfortable cottage. Well kept grounds. We didn’t have the time to take advantage of the many amenities. Pluses: private, well maintained, beautiful beach (who knew Lake Michigan was like east coast beaches without salt water, crowds and sharks!). Close to biking/walking trail you can take for long rides.stocked with essentials. Bright and airy porch dining area Things to know: Beds are roomy for single person if you’re used to sharing a king or queen. While property is on a bluff, the lake and sunsets are not visible from property— you need to walk to beach access. There are about 65-70 steps to beach not 100 (we counted). If you want to take a lot of stuff, you can take a wagon down the street where there is a beach access that is sloped with a walkway and a porta pottie. Highly recommend beach time.

Perfect Beach Spot

Property was exactly as described on the listing and very clean. House was stocked with everything in the kitchen needed to cook breakfast lunch and dinner.Property owners were very very easy to communicate with and responded back very quickly when asking questions. I highly recommend this spot for a couple or a family with a small kid or 2. Private beach access was VERY nice.

this is a nice beach cottage. it is a little small and in ok condition, but overall delightful. two things that bothered us: the beds are old and too soft, and they do not provide bath towels.

Sisters Week Away!

First off.. the property owners are so very kind and accommodating! This little pink cottage is a sisters delight, we thought it was absolutely adorable and, loved the privacy. The walk to the beach is worth every step and, we called the gate you walk through “the gate to heaven!” We enjoyed every part of our stay.. the worst part was having to leave.

Original feel

It's a great location. It's quiet and no road traffic so very relaxing. Every morning we watched the birds in the yard from the dining room table while sipping coffee which was our favorite thing to do. The cottage itself isn't huge. it's truly a nice getaway for those that need to simplify their lives for a few days. It's exactly what's needed to enjoy the beach and all the feelings of nature with breweries and restaurants not overly far away. The beds are a little small for two people and the bathroom is cramped but it's manageable. I'm 6' and 200lbs, GF is 5'7 and 120ish and we managed but any bigger might be tough in the same bed. The walk to the beach is only 4-5 min and you don't have to walk on any serious roads. The owners were very helpful and friendly when I asked them about anything. I didn't need much but when I did they responded with information I needed. I would definitely recommend this for those looking for the original feel of union pier/lakeside area. That's truly what this is all about

Cutest pink cottage

We loved the pink cottage- super clean, amazing public beach and equipped kitchen. We floated in the water, walked the beach, went antiquing and ate out in new Buffalo. This is a perfect spot! Jim is very accessible and accommodating!!

Perfect Pink Little House

The house was perfect for my sister and I. This was our 3rd trip to MI and the best house we have stayed in so far - in fact we want to book with this property next year. The proximity to the beach was great - it being a private beach was especially nice - no other folks on the beach but us! The owners of the house were very accommodating and very easy to communicate with.

Close to the Beach

Easy access to a beautiful, private beach. Plenty of outdoor space with a fire pit and outside eating area more than make up for the small cabin size. The location is also within walking distance to a restaurant as well as a coffee/lunch shop. Overall, we had a great stay.

Great beach

Excellent stay. Pink house small, and we'll kept. Big downfall no wifi connection. James very helpful. Would recommend for a total unplug. one of the best beach section we have stayed at.
