Relax at this beautiful Historic Intracoastal Waterlily Cottage + Game Room

Waterlily Cottage is a charming sunny 3 bedroom Intracoastal home featuring much of the original cottage character coupled with updated conveniences like central air conditioning and heat in the cottage, dishwasher, washer and dryer, brand new bathroom, and more.

The open living and dining rooms have beautiful water views. The first floor bedroom has a King bed and a side view of the Intracoastal waterway. The second bedroom located on the second floor has a Queen bed and a dedicated work desk with outlets and usb ports for work/studying and overlooks the Intracoastal waterway. The third bedroom has two Twin beds (one is a trundle bed). The bathroom is located on the first floor. The cottage and the Game Room are equipped with WiFi and smart TVs for use with your personal streaming accounts.

The cottage is the perfect place to unwind and watch the yachts cruise up the Intracoastal, enjoy a game of pool, darts, or PacMan, Golden Tee and Fast and Furious arcade games in the Game Room, fish from the backyard shoreline, sit around the fire pit, stretch out on the couch and stream movies/watch one of the DVDs provided, or put your boat/kayaks/jet skis in the water from the public boat ramp located 1 mile away. Our vacation home is located in a quiet area, yet it's a quick walk to Coinjock Marina where you can see live music and enjoy a delicious meal.

Housekeeping available for stays longer than one week. This is a non-smoking property. No smoking anywhere on the property including inside the house/screened in porch, or Game Room and only preapproved pets with pet fee please.

Though the Game Room has a window air conditioner and an infrared electric heater it is not insulated and can be warm or cool depending on the season.

We have stayed at this lovely house many times, and it is always fantastic. The house is stocked with everything you would need, and the game room is a huge hit with kids of all ages. The host is by far one of the most responsive you’ll ever deal with, and she is extremely warm and friendly. Can’t go wrong with this fun, historic cottage!

GREAT PLACE ALL AROUND!!! Our host definitely thought of everything!! We loved the location being on the water and watching the boats go by! The board games were wonderful for our family and the game room outside was amazing! So nice to have coffee provided! Very clean! Decorated beautiful. We will definitely be back and stay here again! I cannot say enough about this property. It is exactly as described plus all the extra little details! My family stayed for 3 nights and our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. It’s far enough outside of the popular touristy areas for downtime and close enough when you want to head that way for some entertainment! We hope to be able to stay here again in the future. Absolutely loved the location. Right on the intercoastal. Nothin but birds, cicadas, and the soft flow of the water. We ate outside in the enclosed porch and out by the water. This home is everything they say it is and then some. The Morris Farm was awesome, huge flea market type with outdoor seating shaded and non shaded with live music. I will stay here again! Wonderful cottage for the family near the Outer Banks

This was the best getaway cottage for a family with kids. The game room is awesome!!Beautiful kitchen and living room. Bedrooms are clean and beds are comfortable. We had a wonderful trip and stay at this beautiful cottage. Ritta provided everything we needed as well as suggestions for things to do in the area. Our “children” (ages 16,18 &21) loved the game room and the bedroom space upstairs. The fire pit was great and morning coffee on the screened-in porch was a great treat!

Beautiful Setting and Cottage

Our family of five absolutely adored our stay at this lovely cottage! The space was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed watching peaceful boats pass by on the canal right at the edge of the yard. The location offered plenty to do with easy access to the Outer Banks Islands. Ritta shared many sites and locally enjoyed locations for us to consider. We will absolutely stay here again if we travel this way!

Cottage was perfect. Well appointed and exactly as listed. The game room was so much fun. The inter coastal waterway was peaceful to sit beside. Amazing vacation home

The house was beautiful, clean and in a great location. Close enough to the beaches, water park and lots of eating and shopping near by. But, far enough away to enjoy the quiet family time too. The owner was very helpful in answering questions as well as recommending things to do near by. Very quick to respond to my messages. We have already discussed our trip there next year and making sure we stay at this house again.

Our family is a busy one with college and high school students both playing sports. When we getaway we want to relax and slow down. We love the mountains and the beach. We split our time between this cottage and our condo at Wintergreen, VA.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this cottage the minute I saw it! It is so romantic and serene. We enjoy rocking in the screened in porch or relaxing by the fire pit in the rustic chairs built by my Dad. Everything about this home reminds me of family and what's important about life- enjoying the moment. I still get a thrill everytime a huge yacht cruises by or a humming bird stops to drink from the hostas.

What makes this property unique

Being along the Intracoastal is such a unique experience! Coinjock is rural enough, yet there are delicious food establishments close by and the OBX beaches and the hustle and bustle are only 30 minutes away.
