The cottage was perfect for our needs. So quaint and comfortable. Easy parking and beautiful grounds. Very quiet and peaceful and it is tucked away. The property manager was very responsive to our questions. Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable!
Loved the location. Cottage was quaint and a historical site. Very pet friendly. Lots to do in this wonderful town and not far from ocean beaches. Hosts were friendly, kind, and available when needed. We highly recommend The Cottageit!
I was attending an event where sunup to sundown we were very busy. The cottage was a perfect place to relax and get a good night’s sleep at the end of each day. My hosts were very kind and responsive. I would definitely stay there again.
Excellent place to stay. Close enough to walk into town. Bed could use an upgrade. Property could use a grooming and cleaning. But we had a great time.
I have been visiting Apalachicola for years but my friend had never been. I found this cottage on Vrbo and it looked perfect for a restful couple of days to get away. The cottage was perfect , clean & comfortable. Very quiet and close to everything. Would definitely stay again and again. Owners were so easy to deal with , we had no problems.
My husband & I enjoyed our stay @ the cottage. It was very clean & communication with the host was superb. We will definitely stay there again on our next getaway to Apalachicola. Highly recommend this property.
Apalachicola is a great little town that still has the small and historic fishing and lumber vibe, without the touristy crowds of our hometown of St Augustine. Lots to see and do. You can actually walk five or six blocks to town. While so many Vrbo properties say "walk to town," that means a mile or so. Ironically, the owners are from Oxford, MS, where we had rented such a walk-to-town place, and found it not-so-walk friendly. We were surprised at the lack of number and quality of restaurants. Three meals at The Owl was the most consistent, though. Despite a water quality problem making the water smell like sulphur (apparently a lingering problem since Helene hurricane damage to infrastructure and no plans to fix it until July), host Lauren delivered so much bottled water that we never needed to ask. Great communication with host. The cottage itself was "darling" to use my wife's term. Which is a high honor. If you are pet owners, the back door opens up to an alley along the historic cemetery. BTW, do check out the cemetery. All in all, we consider this one of our best Vrbo experiences.
My wife and I were in Apalachicola for my niece's wedding at the Gibson hotel. She has trouble going upstairs so this was a perfect place for her. Very nice. Very clean in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend this place for any couple coming to Apalachicola!
My husband and I spent a weekend recently. It’s a great place to relax. It’s clean, quiet and cozy. Just right for a couple. You can explore the historic cemetery just outside your door or easily walk/drive to the downtown shops.
Great place close to downtown, everything is within walking distance. Dog friendly our Doodle loved it as only a Doodle can.
Clean bit musty smell, but light candle if needed.
Owner/Manager super friendly and easy to communicate. It is truly dog friendly and easy to walk to downtown. Mini kitchen is equipped with coffee supplies and snacks. Thank you for a great stay!
Loved the cottage! It was clean and comfortable. Stayed with a friend but can't wait to go back with my husband for a weekend. The grounds are beautiful, too, with the Beauty Berry greeting you just inside the gate!
Our apartment type cottage was located in quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks from downtown. Very easy to enjoy restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our bedroom view of the cemetery. Property best for single or couple.
