Our hosts knew just what we needed to have a wonderful vacation by the lake. Beach towels, a kayak and paddle board, and season passes to the park. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels for the 10 of us. The kitchen was easy to use and we spent several evenings around the fire pit. We really enjoyed our stay!
This place is remarkable. The owners put a lot of work into this house and it shows. Its the delightful array of antiques makes it truly special. The renovation of this once ordinary farm house turned it into a truly unique home...and you get a good vibe from being there.
The kitchen is well equipped and has a nice breakfast bar that doubles a gathering place. Its livingroom/dining space is ample yet cozy. Rooms are nice and plenty of beds. The claw foot tub is quaint and ok for a shower.
We loved the entertainment set up. Easy to use Roku system was a welcome change from other homes we've stayed in.
The location is very close to Wellington Park which is a great destination. Ice cream shop and grocery nearby. Priorities!
Alexandria center is actually quiet peaceful and quite with a the occasional motorcycle or car swooping by.
All in all, this place worked for us because we wanted to be able to go to the lake and enjoy local attractions.
Most of all the owners were super nice and thought of everything...really everything was provided. And they supported our interest in a local charity event...which was incredible.
We recommend a stay here...its very special.
