Private Wooded Retreat close to Cornell

1,300 sqft and fully furnished with a King sized master and luxury amenities including: dedicated WiFi, smart TV with AppleTV for casting, 2 wood burning fireplaces, wet-bar, Whirlpool appliances including washer & dryer, attached 2 car garage & use of an overhead opener during your stay.
Used only as a vacation home, the lodge is nestled among the trees with all of the comforts of home. The huge sunken living room has a wall of custom cabinets surrounding the fireplace as well as a wet-bar on your way out to the large 330sqft porch. Porch is completely private with a view of the surrounding woods. With a glass table & chairs for 6, luxury furniture and a weber propane grill, it's the perfect retreat.
The massive eat in kitchen has Whirlpool appliances including full size stove and dishwasher as well as the second wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped including convenient pantry staples and complementary coffee. With a dining table for 6 it's the perfect place to feel at home while away.
The master bedroom features a king size bed and is extra large at 13'x14' with convenient double door access to the bathroom from the master as well as from the main hallway. The second bedroom is 13'x9.5' and is set up as the perfect home office with amazing light and a peaceful view. The room includes a desk, office chair, large reading chair and a new (in Summer 2021) Luanto full sized pull out couch. For additional sleeping needs we also have a new (in Summer 2021) Luanto king sized pull out couch in the living room. All of the beds feature goose down pillows and we provide complementary: dishwasher detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent & Puracy bath products for use during your stay.
Please note the attached two car garage is not included in your rental, however there is also ample room for parking on your private section of our paved driveway. The driveway is only shared between this rental home and our barn and home. It is very long, such that there are no sight-lines between the houses.

Very lovely hosts, provided so many thoughtful treats for us upon our arrival including turning on the lights so we wouldn't be entering the dark. They have a great walking path through their property that is well maintained an my dog enjoyed it immensely. On a clear night, there are stars for days. It was the perfect retreat for us.

So Cozy!

We spent our days visiting the nearby waterfalls and the city of Ithaca, and our evenings relaxing in this lovely home. The house was clean and very cozy and the surrounding wooded area was beautiful. We had a wonderful time walking the trails on the property.The host responded immediately to our inquiries.10/10 highly recommended!

Wonderful home

House is in a very quiet location. Grass was nicely cut when we arrived. The entire home had adequate A/C and dehumidifier for the hot and humid week. The provided breakfast items were a plus. The kids loved it. Thank you!

great, quiet spot to stay

This was rustic, very cute place in the woods yet close to everything. You can tell the hosts care about the people staying and they take great care with the preparations for arrival. it really felt like a home away from home. Also perfect if you have a dog. Walks down the long driveway are very pleasant. I would stay again.

Fall Getaway

We had a great time staying at this house enjoying cozy weather and heading out to beautiful parks in the area. There was a lot to do at Ithaca as well, the Farmer's market in particular was really nice. The host was very thorough in leaving info about the property, as well as restaurants and things to do in the area. The house was very clean and comfortable as well.

Property Owners Who Go Above and Beyond

This unique lodge-style home is clean with very comfortable beds and a beautiful natural and private setting to explore! The owners truly go above and beyond to make the stay special - with so many thoughtful touches (snacks, basic food items, coffee, local recipe books, great local recommendations) and a warm reception to enjoy the full property. We were there for the eclipse - and the owners invited us into their private/separate area of the property for better views. Convenient to Cornell - and we're grateful to the owners for welcoming our dogs. Would recommend this place and would stay here again. Thank you!!

A gem in the Ithaca area

This comfortable, meticulously clean and well appointed property is nestled in the privacy of a quiet, wooded area, but is just minutes from Ithaca and its surrounding attractions. The owner is genial, quick to respond and has thought of a myriad of small touches to make renters feel welcomed and comfortable, including some food/drink in the kitchen. There are clear instructions on how everything in the house works. The property is accurately described/pictured on the website, except that the coffee maker is a Keurig and the second bedroom has a comfortable full size pull out bed as described, not a twin day bed as pictured. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and enthusiastically recommend it to others.

Son's graduation

We stayed here with 6 adults for my son's graduation. We had reserved another place in September but the host canceled in May. We found this location at the last minute and couldn't be happier. I stayed there with my my family and friends and immediately felt at home. The house was clean and organized with very clear instructions. We where treated to breakfast items which my hubby and sons really appreciated. The house is close to the Cornell campus so it was a breeze driving in. The host was easily available via texting on the VRBO app. I'm so happy the other host canceled and we were able to enjoy our time here. 5 stars for sure.

Perfect Family Reunion

The house was just what we needed to get together with our adult children and the dogs. The kitchen was big and surprisingly well stocked. The living room had cozy couches, a good fireplace and a TV. The wifi was adequate. The house was extremely clean and had well designed surfaces to accommodate dogs, who had run in the yard/woods that surround the house. The house is only 15 mins from Central Ithaca, but feels like you are in the middlenof the woods.

Wonderful Stay at a lovely house

This house was perfect for our family trip to Ithaca. Elizabeth was a very considerate host and we had everything we needed for our stay. There was even milk and eggs in the fridge - which was such a pleasant surprise. It helped us start our day right! The property was very clean, lots of towels, HEPA filter, sanitized counters etc. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation rental in Ithaca region.

Great basic place, wonderful owners

Place has all the basics covered and comfortable. The owners went above and beyond with signs communicating everything, lots of bottled water for those who don’t like the local (although it was fine for me), and even a welcome basket of goodies
