Overall, this property worked for what we needed, but there are a few things future guests should know. When we arrived, there was a pizza box left in the refrigerator and trash in the kitchen garbage can, which wasn’t a great first impression. I also reached out because none of the bathroom outlets were working. Unfortunately, that issue was never addressed during our stay, which made me wonder if it’s an ongoing problem. So, we had to search for outlets to use the blow dryer. The dryer also struggles to dry clothes and usually takes 2-3 cycles. The mattresses are on the firm side, and the house is stocked pretty minimally, so if you’re planning to cook or spend a lot of time at the house, you may find yourself wishing there were more basic kitchen and household supplies. The road noise is noticeable, and it’s worth mentioning that this is one side of a duplex. That wasn’t an issue for us, but some travelers may want to know ahead of time.On the positive side, the mid-island location is convenient, and we really appreciated being able to book a Friday-to-Friday stay. Avoiding the typical Saturday traffic getting on and off the island was a huge bonus.Overall, if you’re able to book this property at a decent discount, it’s a reasonable place to use as a home base while enjoying the island. At standard vacation rental prices, however, we don’t feel it offers enough value given the maintenance issues, minimal supplies, and overall condition.
