Welcome to 7472 Anchorage!  Located just a short walk from all the fun activities of Shelter Cove Marina, this 3 Bedroom, 3 bath villa has just had a facelift!  Freshly painted, new bedding and accessories, new window treatments, bath fixtures and more!   

This second floor PET FRIENDLY villa will give you a great home base for your visit to Hilton Head Island.  Main level is living area, dining room, and master bedroom with King Bed.  A comfy guest bedroom with Queen bed is also on the main level.  Upstairs, the large loft is perfect for kids with two twins, and lots of space for games and other fun activities.

Shelter Cove has evolved over the years into the island’s hub. Located mid island, this
Mediterranean- styled marina (repeat winner this year for best marina on the island) has
it all: watersports, dining, shopping, entertainment and extraordinary views. No matter
the time of day or night, the wrap-around boardwalk is filled with dog walkers, families
enjoying the sights or couples sharing quiet moments on the benches located along the
walkway.
Spring and summer are when Shelter Cove really comes to life. Nightly entertainment
at the gazebo, festivals and events of every kind, including the fabulous Memorial Day
Arts Festival. Most memorable is the always popular 30 th year, Tuesday night firework
extravaganza, Harbourfest, featuring vendors, music and kids’ activities, culminating in
a great firework display at dusk. (We have heard a rumor of something special planned
for the 250 th anniversary of the USA this year!) Enjoy kayaking, rent a boat for a quick
cruise down the waterway, go cruise and watch some dolphins or just enjoy the beauty
of the “back side of the island.”

Wonderful!

The property was exactly what we expected based on photos- clean, well-stocked, great Harbor side location. I took my dog to walk along the harbor every day, even saw dolphins swimming right below us! The pool was perfect! We were surprised to find it was heated which was amazing for our late March trip. We’ve been to HHI probably 10 times and this was one of our best trips!

It was very hard to get a hold of the rental company, there was mold on the ceiling in the main bathroom and the shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It looked like there was a water issue because there was chipping paint in two of the bathrooms. The upstairs bathtub drain was clogged, there were stains on the carpet. Most of all the dishes were dirty and we had to go buy paper plates and bowls and the washing machine would not finish a cycle.

Great Location and Condo

I highly suggest anyone rent this condo. It’s location is great right off the main road, and it it's right above the pool. Everything is very convenient. It’s very well designed and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen wasn’t stocked very well and could use some more pans and cooking equipment. But other than that everything went great and communication with our house was perfect.

Roomy enough

We knew this unit was on the upper level but we got weary of climbing the three flights of stairs. Upon arrival the unit had an odor to it. So I washed all the bathroom rugs; sponge-mopped all the tile floors with PineSol and used Murphy Soap on the rest. Then I scrubbed down and cleaned all the countertops in the kitchen/bathrooms and scrubbed the two toilets etc…I also used Fabreeze on the one, hallway rug and the fabric, swivel chairs. I am VERY picky about cleanliness and this unit was lacking in that department. When our daughter came for a visit, she noticed the pillows had an odor (guest room) so I ended up buying two, new pillows; case covers and pillow covers. Having just stayed two weeks at a unit in Evian down the road, I was disappointed with this Shelter Cove condo. Evian was so well-appointed with new pots/pans; many new appliances to use for cooking in; a great, clean grill for cooking out; etc.. This Shelter Cove condo was old and tired-in great need of a major reno. There were many stains in the carpet in the front room; the outside porch needed cleaning and the seat cushions on the porch chairs were dirty. The tile floor in the kitchen was chipped and old and I shudder to think what I’d find if I pulled out the refrig. The microwave looked new and worked well. The chairs around the dining room table were made of rattan and some were seriously wobbly enough that we were afraid they might collapse. The two swivel chairs were comfortable. The covered garage was a joke. It was much shorter in length and narrower in width than all of the other garages. Once parked, it was nearly impossible for anyone to get in OR out of the car on either side. Regardless of the myriad of issues we encountered with the unit, the management was easy to reach; extremely helpful and accommodating!

Barbara this is very disappointing. We received not one phone call during your two week stay or would have responded immediately with whatever services would have been required. If not made aware of an issue, we cannot help. Our cleaners do a great job and the owners have done many upgrades to this villa in the last year. We went out of our way to accommodate your family needs in regard to the unauthorized trailer that was parked in the unusable garage. I’m so happy we were able to bend rules of the community to help when you needed it. We hope you will come again and let us know if you encounter any issues. We are known for good service.
