Beautiful home in a great location. A short walk and you are on the beach! The house has everything you will need and there are beach toys in the garage. Our family had a wonderful week!
We had a great weekend stay here. House was set up well, very well thought out of things you may need(like beach towels, beach chair, kayak, ect). Easy access to get to beach and very private feel.
We had the best time at this spot! Easily fit all ten of us with the main level great for hanging out even while cooking. The best part was the proximity to Lake Michigan. While not directly on the water it sits up on a hill so it feels like you’re there. Maybe 60 feet from a lovely private beach where watching the sunset was the best I’ve ever seen. We even did a few nights just staring at the stars. The hosts were very responsive, when we got there the AC was struggling but they got a repair person out first thing and fixed it right away.I’m already planning my next trip back. Who needs the ocean with a setting like this!

Our trip to Michigan is always something we look forward to every year. We loved the seclusion of this property. The house was fully stocked and clean. We would stay again.
We had the best time at this lake house. Such a good layout for the kids and had all the amenities you'll need for the weekend! Beautiful balconies to watch the sunset :) Our hosts were extremely responsive for all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again!
This was our second time staying at this property and it was wonderful! Such a lovely home and the beach is exactly what we needed. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic property - clean, great views, plenty of space for the 6 adults and 2 kids. Enjoyed walking on the beach, the fireplace inside and on the deck, played a bunch of the board games and puzzles at night. Would definitely stay here again.

So glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving stay! The house can be so warm and cozy in the fall and winter months.
Love this house! Wonderful view of the lake and private beach just a few steps away! Caution there are a lot of stairs in the cabin...but worth the stay!
Loved the long weekend that we were able to take away from work, and what a wonderfully relaxing home we had to do it in. The beautiful views from the balconies and being curled up with a blanket by the cozy fireplace were highlights! Thank you for providing such a comfortable retreat!
Everything as advertised. Great location. Comfortable social spaces. Close to private beach. Owner/manager responsive and helpful. We recommend it highly.

About the host
Hosted by Kristina and Rich
Rich and Kristina bought this house in 2020 during summer of Covid as an escape from their urban lives outside of Chicago. They are thrilled to share their peaceful getaway with others looking to slow down and relax in a beautiful beachside setting.
Why they chose this property
The second we set eyes on this house we knew it was the perfect vacation home. When you emerge out of the winding woods, turn onto the road, and see the vast deep blue waves of Lake Michigan, it will take your breath away. As a family that relocated from the east coast, we love Lake Michigan because it is as close as you can get to ocean living while still being in the midwest. This house is unlike other vacation homes in that it provides all the comfortable modern conveniences of home, but in a spectacular resort like setting.
What makes this property unique
+ We love its proximity to the beach. You literally open the door and walk a few steps and you are swimming in the water. We also love being able to take long walks on the beach whenever we want. + The large 3 decks make it ideal for hanging out with a glass of wine and soaking in the views. + We love that Meinert Park is at the end of the road. There is nothing more exhilarating that climbing up a large dune and then running down at top speed! + We love that the house is close to nearby shopping and restaurants and also activities like horseback riding and biking trails.
