Great location

I had a great stay at this cottage for a short getaway. It was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely view of the ocean especially at sunset. My favorite part of staying here was the location, as it was a very short drive away from Zuma Beach and Point Dume. Overall, I would stay here again!

Quiet & beautiful

Our stay was a gifted couple days as our getaway location after our wedding! Love that we don’t need to check in with host because we got in very late the first night of our stay. It was very quiet and beautiful & a short drive to PCH. Mornings were very calm & peaceful. Hosts were very responsive, helpful and friendly. I personally would not pay for it myself (very poor atm), but it was a very nice stay :) We also were very busy, so if we were there to relax, then we’d enjoy it a little more.

Nice but misleading

Cozy and cute. Backporch area wasn't well maintained either. Also, there isn't a hot tub or washer and dryer at the property. There were foldable beach chairs and a beach umbrella.

Central Malibu stay

This property is in a great location and has a beautiful view. very private. Host was very responsive and helpful, and there was laundry on site, which is a plus. However, the standard of cleanliness was somewhat lacking for the cost of the listing - shower curtain liner needed replacing, bed skirt was badly stained and needed replacing, throw blankets needed washing, and outdoor seating cushions needed a good cleaning.

Gorgeous and tranquil tiny house!

The property is so beautiful and peaceful - the house is a perfect tiny size for a couple..it is just far enough away from everything to be peaceful, but a pretty quick drive to all that Malibu has to offer. My only criticism is that the check-in instructions are not quite accurate; there has been an update to the entry system (it's now a keypad instead of a lockbox), and the instructions no longer apply..it was a little tricky figuring out the exact keypad process in the middle of the night after a long drive - but once we were in, it was all worth it - I definitely recommend this tiny house :)

Pictures do not match outdoor accommodations

If you are like me and like the coziness of the pictures of the outside deck, be advised that the photos are not what is actually there. There is no comfy chair and nice couch bench with a fire pit table. I booked based on the outside deck area. There were several photos illustrating what it looks like and it is nothing like it. Also pictured were robes. Those also were not there. Communication with host was not timely. I was not provided with trash bags and it took a while for them to respond and then I never did receive any. There were ants in the kitchen when I arrived which I can deal with as I know they can’t be controlled however the wine glasses were still wet when I arrived so I would assume someone had to have seen them. I found bug spray and got rid of them myself. A beach umbrella was provided for the beach. That was a nice perk.

We understand how disappointing it must have been but we have made sure that all our photos and the actual place is just the same. We also apologize for the issues with communication and the missing items like trash bags and robes. We already had a serious talk with our housekeeper and took immediate action about it. We're sorry that you had to deal with ants and wet wine glasses upon arrival. This is not the standard we strive for, and we have monthly visit from the pests control and called them right after. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer wunderschönen, ruhigen Gegend mit einer absolut atemberaubenden Aussicht, die jeden Morgen besonders gemacht hat.Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und reaktionsschnell und haben immer schnell auf unsere Fragen geantwortet. Allerdings sind uns einige Probleme mit der allgemeinen Sauberkeit aufgefallen, und ein Teil des Küchenzubehörs war leider nicht nutzbar. Als wir die Gastgeber darauf hingewiesen haben, reagierten sie verständnisvoll, entschuldigten sich und versicherten uns, dass diese Punkte für zukünftige Gäste verbessert werden.Unserer Meinung nach eignet sich die Unterkunft eher für einen kurzen Aufenthalt von 1–2 Nächten als für einen längeren Besuch. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen und schätzen die schnelle Kommunikation der Gastgeber sehr!
