She sleeps 8-10 guests in 5,556 square feet over 3 levels; featuring 5 wood and propane fireplaces inside and out, breath-taking spiral staircase, geothermal heat/AC, lighted apple grove, and two master bedrooms. This private chateau is unlike any stay in Atlantic Canada.

On the picturesque Aspotogan Peninsula you will approach a private, gated driveway. As you descend the gateway you will see Harbour Mist glisten in the sun with a stunning ocean background. You’ll pass through the French-inspired landscaping, apple orchard and adorable outbuildings. This home commands your attention from every view.

The main level features a custom kitchen, dining area, formal seating area, 1/2 bath, television room, and the first master bedroom with full bath and propane fireplace. Seated in the living room you will enjoy the comforting wood-burning fireplace with a grate or glass screen. Gorgeous timber beams uphold the ceiling and calming ocean views throughout. The level of thought and taste in this home’s design must be experienced to believe it.

Up the spiraling wood stairs, the second level features 2 guest bedrooms and full bath, as well as the second master bedroom with full bath, walk-in closet, and private balcony with wood burning fireplace. This level also features a casual seating area, Juliette balcony, and laundry room with commercial laundry machines.

Finally, up the remaining floating, spiral stairs, the third level is anchored by a seating area with undisrupted ocean views — the ideal spot for a morning coffee. To the left is a full sized professional pool table and lounge area, and to the right is a 70 inch 3D television.

The chateau is absolutely stunning and even better than the pictures. Me and a group of 9 friends had an amazing time and there was more than enough space for all to enjoy. Very peaceful and picturesque. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and every detail throughout the house is so thoughtfully done.

We recently visited Harbour Mist with our extended family. The house is quite pretty, constructed from stone and overlooking a beautiful bay. The house is thoughtfully designed with lovely rooms, reclaimed beams and antique floors. There is a fireplace on the lower part of the lawn that was a wonderful place to gather in the evenings. We did have a bit of time finding the house when we arrived- Google Maps was very confused about where it actually was located. The house is in Blanford, close to cute villages and good restaurants. If you are into hiking, there is an extensive trail system nearby. We adored Nova Scotia and found the area charming and full of history.

Amazing setting!

This House looks like it was plucked from an estate in the Scottish highlands. An absolutely beautiful stone building with large open living and dining area. It’s a perfect spot for a small family gathering or group of friends. The house is very well equipped with anything you’d need for a short or long stay. The location is conveniently located within an hours drive of numerous sites: Halifax, Chester, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove, etc.. Highly recommended!

We six friends spent a lovely several days at this house. We originally intended to visit every small town in easy driving distance. However this house and the view was so lovely and the sunsets so beautiful we spent more time relaxing and looking at the ocean.

“Harbour Mist” is undoubtedly one of the best vacation rentals you could ever choose! While we visited during the off-season, and the weather wasn't always perfect, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. With many local attractions closed, we were encouraged to embrace the cozy atmosphere of our rental. Nova Scotia Treasure

Our family (four adult couples) totally enjoyed and appreciated this very unique property. Its location a few minutes south of Blandford is rewarded with extensive ocean frontage carved from the surrounding heath. The “chateau” is a labour of love, skillfully designed and built from stone and timber fitted out with a treasure of passionately curated antique and character finds. We have stayed in many rental properties and this is the only one that exceeded our expectations in all regards. On a practical note, it was spotless, very well kitted out and explained in the welcome book. Top recommendation for a home base while exploring the wonderful towns along the Nova Scota coast.

Gorgeous waterside chateau in the middle of nowhere NS

A group of 8 of us spent a week at this chateau. It is as stunning as it looks in the photos - beautifully appointed and on the water. Pros: beautiful space, easy to cook (large kitchen, bbq, lots of dishes), lots of cozy places to hang out (big dining room table, 4 fireplaces - 2 inside, 2 outside, games room with pool table, 2 large tvs, and more).Cons: it’s at least a 30-50 minute drive to get anywhere, the showers do not drain well so you end up standing in pooled water).In terms of the sleeping areas: there are 4 bedrooms with queen beds, 2 with en suite bathrooms (1 on main floor 1 on second floor), and in addition there is a full bathroom between the other two bathrooms on the second floor and a powder room (half bathroom) on the main floor. There is also a pull out couch on the third floor in the games room area but it is not close to a bathroom and offers no privacy. I think they would be better served to have the pull out couch(es) in the den on the main floor.

A great winter break for our four couple COVID bubble.

We are a group of active seniors who have enjoyed spending time together for many years. This unique property has a lot of character and is accurately described in the pictures, and will not disappoint. Lots of room to find a quiet area when needed. Beds are comfortable, big table was great for our group, deer in the yard each evening, sound of the surf if you crack your bedroom window. The heating was even and comfortable and wood fireplaces worked well when you wanted a little atmosphere. The kitchen was a bit of an awkward layout but nothing to spoil a wonderful few days. I hope we are able to come back again. Jesse was easy to contact and great to work with.

A perfect place for our family vacation

We travelled to Nova Scotia as a family and enjoyed a wonderful stay at Harbour Mist. Communication with the host was quick and clear. The property is stunning and we were treated to beautiful sunsets almost every night. We found the home clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Lots to explore within an hour driving from the property too, including Chester (our favourite), Lunenburg, and Peggy’s Cove.

Incredible property!

Our group of women stayed here and celebrated the bride to be and it truly couldn't have been better! The property is remarkable- from the ocean view, the comfy beds & large bedrooms, the beautiful kitchen and all the immaculate little touches- it was picture perfect. Truly couldn't have dreamt of a better place to be for the weekend. Also the house was very very clean. Not a speck of dust in sight! Amazing property

This house and property is just stunning. The views and shoreline can be enjoyed from just about every window in the place and there are cozy little seating areas where you can just sit and look out the windows at the views. We were a family of 4 with adult kids and everyone had their own space and then a comfy main floor where everyone could come together for dinner and a fire in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, spices and other pantry items. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the top floor entertainment space with the giant TV and pool table. Every bedroom in this house is beautifully decorated and so cozy. The bed on the 2nd floor primary suite is - and I kid you not - the comfiest bed we have ever slept on. We took a picture of the brand because that is our next mattress purchase :) Thank you so much for your hospitality! We will definitely be back!

A Sacred Space

There are no words that can accurately describe the serene, thoughtful, intricately designed beauty that is this sacred place. Although the photos and description are accurate, we were unprepared for the awe that settled in our souls as we stepped through her doors. Our team made incredible memories in those walls and I only hope we can be back again someday.
