About this property

Cabin at Hidden Falls Farm

HIKE RIGHT OUT YOUR FRONT DOOR UP TO YOUR OWN PRIVATE LOOKOUT! Experience your own private views of Mt Washington and all the White Mountains on 200 acres of private land!

This cabin is located on the Hidden Falls Farm in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding woods while still being close to all the local amenities. Shaw's grocery store, Polish Princess Bakery and Copper Pig Brewery are only a short 10 minutes away in Lancaster, New Hampshire.
The space
Situated on 200 acres, the cabin is modern and cozy. Miles of private trails leave the backyard of the property and meander through the woods gently climbing to beautiful vistas of Mt Washington and the White Mountains.

The cabin itself is stocked with everything you will need for a few nights or a few weeks! It is equipped with a full kitchenette, bathroom, shower, wood stove and high speed fiber internet/Wi-Fi. 100% Off-grid, the cabin is powered using renewable energy from solar, wind, and hydro power!

Inside you will find a comfy queen sized mattress. All linens/blankets/pillows and towels provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, and a propane stove top.

In the yard a small fire pit with wood is provided. A BBQ grill is also available for cooking out during the spring, summer and fall.

On clear nights you will find yourself sitting out watching the most incredible display of stars you've ever seen!

There is something happening during every season here! In Winter break out the snowshoes or xc skis. In Spring and Summer take full advantage of the hiking and beautiful places to relax around the property. When the fall comes, the changing colors will leave you breathless.

In addition to being just down the road from Lancaster, we are also close to skiing at Burke Mountain (25 minutes), Bretton Woods (40 minutes), and Cannon (45 minutes).

The renowned Kingdom Trails with world class mountain biking are only 20 minutes away. Miles of snowmobile trails are also located a few miles from the house. Two pairs of snowshoes are provided for guests inside the cabin during the winter.

If the trails on the property aren't enough, access to the White Mountain National Forest is close by. Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch trailheads are only 40 minutes away. Trails to Mt. Washington, the Mt. Washington Auto Road, and the COG railway are all less than 1 hour.

From March to April we make pure Vermont maple syrup from the trees on the property. You can find maple syrup available for purchase inside the cabin.

Guests can use all spaces and walk anywhere they want on the property. There are some utility sheds that guests will not have access to. The cabin is very private but the owner also retains a house on the property. The owner is not currently living full time at the house but occasionally may be present for weekends or weeklong stays. This will be communicated to guests beforehand.

The property has exterior cameras for security purposes only.

About the host

Host profile image
My name is Drew and I am very excited to be able to host guests at my house here in Vermont. I am a native of Connecticut but have lived all over the United States and internationally in six different countries. I am a language teacher but also an avid outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy talking to my guests when there is time and sharing time on this incredible property.

Why they chose this property

I purchased the property in September of 2020 with the idea of creating a unique rental destination close to skiing and hiking in the White Mountains. The property itself is unique in that it has it's own trails which include beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. You can come here and stay on the property for an entire weekend or venture out to nearby recreation spots.
