Just steps outside lay a west facing stone terrace that beckon you to sip Chianti Classico and enjoy evenings of brilliant sunsets. A gorgeous 45-minute drive through the rolling hills of Tuscany will take you directly to Florence. If you wish to travel by train the nearest station is just 10 minutes away. Travel time by train to Florence is 25 minutes. Your nearest village, Fronzano, in the county of Reggello, is a 5 minute walk down your very own aisle of cypress trees. Fabulous Holiday

This is a beautiful house with lots of space inside and out . The terrace has THE best view! The pool is beautiful and well maintained. There is a loggia with a shower room and table tennis table for those who want to stay out of the sun. The tennis court is great with a beautiful even bounce. The bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms and air con have been upgraded and there are mosquito nets for the windows. The kitchen is well equipped , there is a great bbq, and everything works. Donato cooked a resplendent feast for us all two of the nights we were there. It was excellent. Tommaso is a perfect host: there when you need anything but unobtrusive. Excellent recommendations for restaurants and shops . We had a great family holiday and highly recommend.

Great place for relaxing break

Everyone in our group enjoyed staying at the beautiful property during a holiday with my wife's family (8 adults and 6 children). The house is plenty big enough with good size bedrooms and good living spaces as well as useful outdoor space. It was a shame that no welcome pack was provided unlike the ones you get at other properties - maybe a bottle of wine and some milk and bread would have been a nice touch. During our stay (August 2023) the temperatures hit 38-40 degrees centigrade and it meant the bedrooms (no air conditioning) were really hot at night even with ceiling fans. We did request freestanding fans but none were made available. The swimming pool is large and clean and warm - the children and adults loved spending time in the pool to cool off! As we were on holiday in August the mosquitoes and flies were a big nuisance and the whole group got bitten plenty so I'd recommend good bug spray and burning a candle at night!! The walk into town is via a dusty track and the local town has a basic shop. To go to good eateries you will need to drive. That said the property is a great location for getting to Florence. The tennis court and football pitch was fantastic and enjoyed by many of the family. The view from the property was breathtaking also. In summary if the property had air conditioning in the bedrooms (you pay for electricity during your stay anyway!) then it would be 5 stars. Certainly the host Tomasso was really friendly and full of good tips!

A perfect long weekend getaway with friends

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend away with our friends. The villa is absolutely HUGE, there's tonnes of space, even with 14 people we never felt on top of one another. Pool, table tennis & tennis courts - there's endless activities for groups, which is why we chose the villa. So much fun! Marco organised the private chef for us on the first night. An incredible traditional tuscan dinner, an absolute must for anyone staying here! There was so much food we had loads left over for our entire stay. Marco And Tommy were absolutely wonderful hosts, they were accommodating with our every request. We will definitely be back - one of the best stays & hosts we've had. Grazie mille!

Just perfect

Our holiday at Villa Maria could not have been better. The villa was beautiful and the views from the villa were breathtaking at any time of the day. The villa itself was very clean and well equipped. There was also a pleasant 10 minute walk down to the local shop – which was well supplied and had extremely helpful staff. The hire of a car would be recommended as the villa is a little out of the way, which was just what we wanted, but having the use of a car made it even more perfect to explore the beautiful countryside. It was reassuring that Marco and his son Tommy were on hand if any help or advice on what to see and where to go was required. They did everything they could to ensure our stay was a perfect one – even managing to purchase a ping pong table on our behalf for our stay. Also, Marco’s suggestion of hiring a chief one evening made a great stay even more memorable. We would definitely go back again and recommend this villa to all those looking for a quite and relaxing holiday away from the normal crowds. Thank you, Marco and Tommy, for making our stay a perfect one.

Family villa holiday near Reggello, Tuscany

The villa was exactly as we expected, great location, excellent views and spotlessly clean and a great pool area. Marco (owner) couldn't do enough and was always available to offer suggestions and advice if required. The cook he recommended was excellent - and we used him for quite a few evening meals - there was always lots left over for lunch the next day - his local wine suggestions were good. Tuscany 2019

Staying at Villa Maria was exceptional. We were a large party of mixed ages down to 20. Villa Maria provided everything we needed. The house was clean and spacious. The grounds and pool immaculate. Marco and Tommaso were very helpful. Had Donato cook one night which was fabulous. Don’t eat much during the day! Florence was great and easy to get to by train. Didn’t expect the mountains to be so green and well worth the drive up. All in all a magical place to be and a great place to make memories. Thank you once againMarco. Ann

A gem In a corner of paradise

We were four families with 8 kids staying in villa maria for a week. The villa was magnificent and I don’t think any of us ever got tired of the view. It was absolutely fantastic. The house was better than the pictures online and with a bathroom for almost every room it never got crowded. We booked the chef Donato for four days and enjoyed the freedom of sitting down to a three course Italian menu at our own pace. A big thank you to Donato his lovely cooking and flexibility with our many kids. Our landlord Tommaso was also very helpful and sweet to help us. We hope to comeback another time:-)

Wonderful authentic Italian Villa

We had a Fabulous family holiday with 3 generations of family. There were 12 of us but the villa could easily sleep 14.Outside areas have stunning views day and evening. Full working kitchen,inside and outside dining areas. We had Donato a local chef cook for us one night. Food was delicious and plenty over for lunch the next day. All bedrooms are cool at night even though there is no air conditioning.Beds are very comfortable with white Egyptian cotton bedlinen. Garden and pool area was immaculately kept. You defiantly need a car, the closest resteraunt to the villa is Ristorante Degli Usignoli About 5/10 minutes by car I would highly recommend it, we had dinner there 3 times. The roads are extremly windey so would not recommend driving very far in the dark. Our flight was delayed so we were driving in the dark, the sat nav brought us through a very dangerous road which was extreamly scary and traumatic. I think there needs to be a clearer map of how to get to property , maybe Marco the owner or Raffello the caretaker could meet guests in the closest local town to show the way for the first time. With this in mind I would highly Reccommend Villa Maria.

Perfect In Every Way

We had twelve adults from two families, many on thier first trip to Italy- Villa Maria could not have been more perfect. Serena and Marco were a pleasure to deal with and Morando was so helpful (despite the language barrier)- he even volunteered to pick up two members of our group from the train station and show us around the town. The villa itself is almost exactly as it appears in the pictures just more beautiful in person. It was spotlessly clean, well appointed, and allowed everyone in the group to have some privacy while still enjoying the space together. The pool is fantastic and the views are outstanding. The villa is a little tricky to find initially but that's part of the charm. Florene is an easy train ride or drive away and there are great outlet stores, winerys and countless other activities nearby. Overall I would not hesitate in recommending this villa, it was simply perfect in every way and I hope I'll be able to return someday!

Family Vacation for 11

My husband and I spent a week of a family vacation in Italy at Villa Maria with our two adult children, their spouses and five grandchildren in celebration of our 70th birthdays. Our time at Villa Maria was a spectacular experience! The villa is meticulously cared for – spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, with ample seating and dining spaces and breathtaking views. You really need a car to explore the surrounding area. Driving was harrowing at times as the local roads are very narrow. It took us longer than expected to visit other towns and we found that we enjoyed being at the villa so much that we did not travel as often as we planned. I suggest getting the smallest car you think you will need as it will be easier to navigate on the narrow side roads. The highways are fine. Our host Tomasso was fantastic! He was easy to communicate with, answering our questions leading up to the trip and remaining extremely helpful during our time there. His English is excellent and the response time short. He met us at check in and left the refrigerator stocked with enough goodies to hold us over until the next day when we could shop. We hired Chef Donato for 3 nights and he was fantastic! He prepares a delicious multi-course meal right at the villa that left us stuffed with plenty left over for lunch the next day. We felt it was an excellent value for the variety, quality and quantity of food prepared. You can book this property without hesitation – you will not be disappointed!

Excellent home base for Tuscany experience

This beautiful Tuscan estate exceeded expectations for our wine and culinary vacation! The view is spectacular. Our host, Tommaso, was extremely friendly and a gracious host. We brought in a chef for a Tuscan cooking class and the kitchen was well appointed. Parking the car was easy. Very modern bathrooms. Two wonderful rooms for group gathering areas inside. Tuscany Family reunion

Our family of 11 enjoyed 4 wonderful days at this once in a lifetime villa. Tommaso, our host was a delight to work with. Russcany! 75th Birthday Reunion for my Husband.

A gorgeous villa with an indescribable view-you can just sit with a glass of wine and stare for hours. Plenty of privacy for everyone and several group gathering spaces both inside and out. An Unforgettable Stay.

My husband and I chose Villa Maria to host both of our families and it was the perfect place for a very intimate wedding celebration (14 people total). Tommaso was an incredible host. He checked in on us throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed. We needed a steamer, he ordered one and it was there the next day. He was kind enough to show us his olive grove near by and gave us lots of great information. Tommaso really enriched our Tuscan vacation with his wealth of knowledge and all of his recommendations. Chef Donato cooked two meals for us: a casual pizza dinner and a special 4 course menu for our wedding celebration. Every minute was incredible. The food was amazing and being able to enjoy the view from the outdoor dining table was perfect. Everyone loved walking down to the little market/coffee shop for breakfast and to pick up a few things for lunches. The tennis court was in perfect condition, the pool was fabulous and clean, and everyone enjoyed playing pingpong and pool. The AC in the bedrooms was amazing and the newly renovated bathrooms were a nice surprise. We can't say enough good things about our stay at Villa Maria! Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again soon.

Amazing days in Tuscany

We stayed in Villa Maria for couple days on Jul-2024 and were amazing days. The villa is as beautiful as we can see on the images, well located and very cozy. Tomasso is a great host and was always available for helping us with anything we needed. He also provided good tips for restaurantes and places around the villa. Amazing place. THE BEST WEEK EVER

Wow! What can I say? We had the most surreal, wonderful week at Tommassos house in Tuscany. The pictures do not do it justice. The views from the property are from a movie! Donato the chef was amazing. An absolute MUST. We wish we had him more! Prepared the most delicious Italian authentic food. Tommasso is a delight. A wonderful host. Best rental we have ever stayed in. If we get the chance to come back to Italy we would love to stay here again. Every morning we would walk down the Cyprus tree drive to get coffee (5 min walk). It was perfect. Thank you so much.

Tuscan Hospitality at its Finest

It’s very difficult to choose only one aspect of this stay that our family enjoyed most - the glorious views of the valley below, the beautiful pool area with umbrellas and loungers and soft towels, the immaculate house and grounds with fragrant flowers on arbors, the comfortable beds with finishes like hand-carved wooden headboards, the soccer pitch on which my teenagers spent hours running around, brand-new modern bathrooms with rain shower heads, the list goes on. Even with all of that, the real standout at Villa Maria is the warm hospitality extended by the hosts, Marco and Tommaso. Our group included grandparents, parents, aunts/uncles, teenagers and a nine month old baby, so a wide variety of needs. Our hosts communicated with us prior to our arrival to ensure that we would have everything we would need ahead of time (key as we arrived on a Sunday and many stores were closed that day which we would not have known). The walk-through at check-in was thorough and well thought out. And during our stay, Tommaso was incredibly helpful to answer any questions we had and to offer advice and assistance. Additionally, we hired Chef Donato to provide some of our dinners and lunches and as many other reviewers have said, he was amazing at every meal. I’m not sure when I will ever eat so well again. So, if you are considering staying at this jewel to bask in the Tuscan countryside, by all means, book it.

The villa in the Italian hills did not disappoint. Even the flowers were blooming and abundant as they were in the photos. We enjoyed all aspects of the property…the well-maintained pool, the various dining spaces, and comfortable areas for visiting and reading. The newly renovated bathrooms were a great surprise. Tommaso, the on-property manager/owner was incredibly helpful and assisted us with many requests and valuable advice. The advice ranged from restaurant recommendations to helping with car mechanical issues. Tommaso is a wonderful host and seemed to enjoy his work.

This was our family's country villa since the 60's and due to the fact that we don't use it anymore (because every new family has his own country house) we rent it.
