Secluded Waterfront Cabin on hiking trails! Lake on one side river on the other.
Eagle Ridge Hideaway is perfect for families, couples and smaller groups and is just a short 90 minute drive from the Twin Cities. Long lake is a private lake (no public boat launch, no public beach) with great water quality, excellent fishing right off the dock and low recreational use.
The cabin is set on 1.5 acres of wooded land, come enjoy this outdoor lover’s haven located on a dead end road shared with only 1 neighbor, that sits on the ridge line of the lake on one side and the Straight River on the other. Eagle Ridge Hideaway is 1 of 3 cabins on the entire east side of the lake. Wildlife is abundant at the cabin.
Eagle Ridge Hideaway cabin is unique for lakefront property due to being on a private dead end road (chained entrance and no non owner traffic), and having miles of hiking trails right outside the cabin door. Just bring food and you don't need to leave with all the amentities right here.
Get on your hiking shoes and blaze the Ice Age Trail (1000 miles of hiking, non-motorized trail) from walking out the front door of the cabin. Enjoy the spectacular views of the lake while hiking the Straight River Segment. Or take a 3 mile hike from the property to Straight Lake state park.
Enjoy the knotty pine interior throughout the entire cabin that’s tastefully decorated. Relax during winter evenings in front of the wood burning stove after a day of snow shoeing, ice fishing or snowmobiling.
Take a short stroll down the gradual slope that’s filled with natural wild flowers to the lake where your kids can play, fish, swim, use the 18 ft. floating mat, Swimway water floaties, use 2 kayaks or paddle boat using 150 feet of shoreline.
Spend your summer nights stargazing or roasting S'mores at your choice of the lake-side fire pit or the fire pit closer to the cabin.
During the cold winter months enjoy snowshoeing, ice fishing, snowmobile, or cross country ski right from the property. Downhill ski or snowtube from 3 different resorts within 20 minutes. On a rainy day, there's several DVD's, games for the family, gaming system and puzzles to keep you entertained.
A unique piece of history about this area. Al Capone and John Dillinger owned 400 acres of property in Luck Wisconsin on Bone lake (less then a mile from Long Lake) and legend has it they used the surrounding trails and the Straight River to ship and store alcohol during The Prohibition. Come walk the trails that the gangsters used to use.
5 minute drive to Straight Lake State park, a short drive from popular Interstate state park. Close to 5 state parks. Wild Mountain Recreation Area, Trollhagen, zip lining, Fawn-Doe-Rosa Wildlife Education Park, St. Croix Casino, wineries, and several golf courses.

Everyone had a wonderful time—great, cozy cabin with lots of activities nearby. We especially enjoyed the fantastic hiking trail (Ice Age Trail) right outside the door.
Nothing to do but relax!! The cabin was perfect for our much needed summer getaway. The lake was warm and beautiful. We enjoyed the paddle boat, Kayaks, and just floating in the warm inviting water. The quite seclusion was amazing. The trail was wonderful. We were the only people on the lake almost all week!
My husband and I stayed at this property for a quick weekend getaway. It was clean, private, close to neighboring towns and has beautiful views of Long Lake on one side and the river on the other. We had a fire going the whole time and we’re able to get a winter snowshoe hike in on the beautiful Ice Age Trail that is literally right outside the cabin! We would definitely come back during any season of the year.

So happy you enjoyed your stay with us! We love that the IAT hiking trail is right outside the cabin door too. We’d welcome you back anytime.
Hubby and I took a couple of days to just get away and relax. Hiking was fabulous with all the near by Ice Age Trail options. We had a couple of cold days and the wood stove was nice seeing as the upper level was not as warm as the lower one was. Everything was clean and cozy. Microwave turntable noise was a bit startling, but then we read the welcome book that explained the issue :) Could use some directions on using the TV and surround sound for those of us not so up to date on the techy stuff. Overall this was a very pleasant rental experience for us and would recommend it highly.

So happy you enjoyed your stay! You’re welcome back anytime.
We had the greatest time. What a cute and intimate cabin with a ton of privacy. Warm and nestled in the woods if Wisconsin. The owners were great with response time and very accommodating. They had firewood ready for us, Netflix, and all the amenities a cabin needs. I don't know how there are bookings available to be honest. Thank you guys so much for letting us stay there!
The property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed time in the cute little town of Luck and relaxed. We saw loons, a black bear, chipmunks, turtles, etc! The screened porch was a life saver because the bugs were a lot! Ticks were bad!
It’s a beautiful little spot that’s close to activity if you want, but a great place to just chill if you don’t want to leave.
Cabin was cute and clean and the location was great. Really pretty views from the house and loved being on the ice age trail for easy access to hiking. Owners were great with communication!
We had a great time at this beautiful cabin fishing, paddle boating, kayaking, hiking the IAT, visiting inside and around the fire, playing games, as well as watching an eagle and listening to the loons. Sitting on the screened-in porch as the day begins is a real treat. One of our crew had to work remotely and the wifi met the need. The owners work very hard to make sure you have a nice stay.
Lovely cabin, great water toys (kayaks, lily pad, paddle boat). Great fishing and nearby hiking trails. Cabin was well appointed with everything our family needed.
Charming cabin filled with everything you need. Large sun filled deck facing the lake with screened in porch above. So much wildlife on this property!
The trails are beautiful and well marked.
A 5 star stay

So happy you were able to enjoy the wildlife and hiking trails at Eagle Ridge Hideaway! Would welcome you back anytime.
This was a great cabin for a weekend getaway with my husband. It was clean and cozy. We would like to come back sometime when it’s not dangerously cold to do more hiking on the beautiful Ice Age Trail! Everything was as expected and we enjoyed a relaxing weekend.

Great little cabin in the woods...
We needed a short family getaway, and this was the ticket! Very cozy and cute! Our vehicle's navigation brought us to the wrong spot and the owner was helpful getting us back on track to find the cabin before it got dark. Very easy to acclimate and find trails to walk, we were able to see wildlife and tracks in the snow. We had a great time. We knew going into it that the beds were full sized...we are tall and especially with young kids wanting to sleep with a parent that was our only "wish"...bigger bed in at least one room. That being said...this is a great cabin for a getaway. I imagine even more so in the summer when the dock is in and you can fish, kayak, etc!
Beautiful view of the river, close to the cities, easy access to a great hiking trail. Exactly what we were looking for to unplug for a bit.

We are outdoor lovers! Our cabin is the perfect escape from the cities to enjoy the lake, hiking and outdoor activities.
Why they chose this property
Within 30 minutes of most amenities you can think of. Unique cabin that's secluded and not typical lake front property where you have small access to land and several neighbors. Our cabin sits on a ridge line that shares a private road with only 2 other cabins.
What makes this property unique
Our property is extremely secluded and sits on a private road that is directly on the Ice Age Trail. Guests will enjoy being surrounded by water as the cabin is directly on private lake front property as well as the back side of the cabin is the Straight river.
