The cabin is just as pictured on here. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked and the cabin was nice and clean. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the sunset and eating our meals since the weather was perfect during our stay. We'd love to book again in the future. Thank you for sharing your property with us.
This was a great property for our family. Close proximity to Norris Lake, comfortable beds and big kitchen. We really enjoyed having our coffee on the covered deck with a beautiful view in the morning.
Nice accommodations, peaceful setting in the evenings, enjoyed the foggy mtn mornings. Suggestion: additional hand towels in bathrooms needed; only had one in each bathroom.
Beautiful house with an amazing view. AS ADVERTISED! The amenities were great-plenty of room. Easy access to shopping & activities. Owners were great communicators. We will return!
This was an important get-away for our family. There no problems with the house that disturbed our time. Very clean and so many things provided like ping pong table and equipment, tv game accommodations, etc. View was beautiful.
We had a wonderful stay at Shady Pines. The home is comfortable, clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated. It was more than enough space for 7 and had great amenities. We enjoyed the covered deck for sunrise coffee and late night drinks. We found the home to have all that we needed and we utilized the grill and firepit. We would highly recommend shady pines and will look to book again when we return to Norris Lake.
House is beautiful with an amazing view.
Convenient location. No more than 45 mins to any of the surrounding riding parks. Only 10-15 minutes to town. Parking was a little difficult with 3 trucks hauling large trailers. Recommend staying at this house.
Beautifully decorated home with wonderful outdoor space. I would predict the view is incredible in October when the leaves change as it's pretty amazing as it is. Home has everything we needed including a full size ice maker.
We loved our stay there. It was beautifully decorated, great location, very clean, beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked. The views were gorgeous. You could tell the owners spent money on upgrades on the home for sure. Only thing is I would not walk the path to the boat dock until they finish that. It was quite steep but we were notified of that just wouldn't recommend doing it. We plan to stay here again.
Shady Pines was so lovely, we booked another trip after we'd been there only a day into our 4-night stay!
The house is super cute (just as pictured), with a really well-stocked kitchen, a spectacular view, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. It's easy to travel to--our group came from Ohio, Virginia, and Arkansas. And it's not as far "out of town" as it might look on a map, so there's plenty of stores and restaurants nearby if desired. We mostly preferred to stay in, as this was a writing getaway for us, but a member of our group did explore the area and hit up a few historical highlights during our stay.
The owner was responsive and very friendly, the house was clean, and I mentioned the view, right? Overall, it was the perfect retreat, and we look forward to returning!
The house was exactly as listed. It was clean and had everything we needed. The master bed was quite uncomfortable. The bedroom in the basement the door wouldn’t close due to the bed. Other than that, it was a decent stay.
The home is as pictured. The location was great for getting to various hiking spots. We loved the deck! We observed deer and many birds! The decor is lovely and the beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the smoke alarms were an issue. One was not hooked up and the other one beeped during the early morning hours. We notified the host who promptly replied… but it took more messaging between us and the host before it was resolved( several hours) Despite that issue, we had a great time.
Excellent time away with friends and very relaxing atmosphere
I absolutely loved this property. The finishings on the inside and decor were beautiful. And not to mention the breathtaking views. It met all of our expectations and we would definitely come again.
Shady Pines proved to be the perfect place for our family vacay. It’s close to Cove Lake State Park and shopping. The house is very clean and beds super comfortable. We enjoyed watching the trains and boats passing by. Deer walked through the property several times during our stay, our grandkids loved it!
The hosts were easy to contact and quick to respond.
Overall great experience
We had a great stay at this house! Everything is very nice and the views are great. You can access the lake down a gravel path which worked great with our boat. We will be back!
My family and I booked this house for 4 nights to spend some time together before the school year begins. It was the cleanest, most comfortable house we have stayed in while traveling. It was spotless and had all the necessities needed. The back porch/deck overlooks the mountains and water and we enjoyed drinking our coffee and relaxing every morning and evening.
Fantastic stay! Clean, comfortable home for the 9 of us. Great access to lake, a bit of a hike, but worth it. Owners were very responsive. Would stay again.
We reserved the property to travel to and from my graduation at the University of the Cumberlands. The stay was amazing, and the location was fully renovated and beautiful.
Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We came up here to ride our OHV and 4wheelers at Royal Blue. It was just a short drive to the trails. The location is great, close to town and anything you need for your stay. Very nice place.

Why they chose this property
Shady Pines is our second short term vacation rental. We have another lakefront rental just over the hill that has been super successful. When this property became available, we knew we had to jump on it just because of the location. It needed to be completely renovated from top to bottom and the land had to be cleared from years of overgrowth.
What makes this property unique
It offers a tranquil atmosphere on 3 acres, while being close to I-75, Twin Cove Marina, and ATV trails. The views are incredible and the active train trestle adds a unique touch.
