About this property

Breezy Hilltop, Hart Bay View, only minutes from town

Our hilltop, chocolate hole location provides fantastic ocean views and the southern exposure catches the cooling trade-winds. This one-bedroom private casita has outdoor balconies that lend themselves to tranquil ocean views and amazing sunrises. We are close to town and within walking distance to Hart Bay and Chocolate Hole beach, (rocky beaches great for exploring).

The interior is equipped with a King bed in the main bedroom, and a pull-out couch in the living room; sleeps up to four (4) persons (preferably no more than 3 adults) but is perfect for a small family (please inquire about any needs for infants or small kids). There is a full kitchen, living room, A/C unit, ceiling fans, and complimentary WiFi. As a courtesy, we also stock the unit with beach towels, chairs, and a soft cooler for your beach-going needs. There is a beautiful pool on the property but is shared with the homeowners, along with limited parking.

Water and power on the island can be hit or miss and we cannot promise that there will be no interruption for services we have no control over. These include, but are not limited to electrical service, internet, water, or telephone connections. We will make every effort to escalate any interrupted service issues so they can be restored as quickly as possible. No refund or adjustment of the rate will be given for unforeseen failures/interruptions of these services.

We are not on city water, and we collect rainwater for the use of our showers, sinks, and appliances. We ask that you conserve when using.
Feel free to use the AC, but when leaving the house please make sure that it’s turned off. It works more efficiently with all windows/doors closed.
We live in a very secure neighborhood but please close all sliding glass doors and windows while not home this will help with sudden wind or rain gust

Carnival

Amazing views make for an idyllic stay

Amazing views and sea breeze, spacious apartment with large balconies, and beach amenities available. Casey, our host was prompt and helpful. We had an enjoyable stay.

Great family location

Our family of four greatly appreciated the location and space provided. The bed was very comfortable and the pool access was such a highlight for our kids. The host family was friendly and helpful and would highly recommend this to others.

Great place

We stayed for 5 nights. It’s a very nice place and included everything we needed. View was really pretty. The road getting to the place was an adventure. Rough and steep but you get use to it.

This is a beautiful location overlooking Chocolate Hole. We never used the AC once because of the ocean breeze. Very comfortable bed, could hear the ocean when we slept, perfect layout out for us.

Great vacay

We really enjoyed our stay in this casita! Extremely clean upon our arrival and well equipped. The host, Casie, was very helpful but not intrusive in anyway. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

St. John's Stay

We spent a wonderful week at Casie's property perched high on a mountain side with a stunning view of the bay, beautiful sunrises, and bright moonlit nights! The place was clean and comfortable, and the checkin/checkout process was a breeze. Casie lives nearby so comms with her were easy and she always responded in a timely manner. We would absolutely consider returning to Casie's place on a future trip to St. John's.

Great family stay

Beautiful place and location. Quiet, amazing views and perfect breezes through the casita. My wife and I with 2 teenage girls had a blast. The owners are great hosts and we enjoyed the pool and beach chairs. The location is perfect, close enough to town but far enough for peaceful stay. We highly recommend!

Wonderful

The host/owners are very helpful and kind. We loved our stay on St. John. The island is truly amazing and definitely is a little slice of heaven. The location is very convenient and is pretty close to everything. The house is cute and has a great view and has everything that you would need to enjoy your stay. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Well Appointed Casita

The place had everything that we needed. It was very clean and the location was close to Cruz Bay. The owner was very kind and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only negatives would be that the beautiful view is mainly from the bedroom and the pool deck could use a little TLC. Neither would stop us from returning. Very nice place.

The property is secluded. Despite the power authority causing rolling blackouts our host did an outstanding job of making us comfortable. Very close to town, and the extra amenities provided by the host were much appreciated.

A true St John's experience

Great location on a St John's hill with a beautiful view, close to town, beautiful sunrises and on the clear nights the stars were amazing! The home was perfect for the two of us - great relaxing areas inside and outside and inside. Casie was quick to answer all our questions before and during our visit. We'd definitely stay here again.

Loved it.

We loved our stay here. Very clean and spacious for a couple with an awesome view and the breeze was the icing on the cake. Our host allowed us to use their beach chairs which were brand new so we didn’t have to pay for rentals at the beaches. We also had access to a small carry cooler which came is great for snacks and water. We gave five stars to all and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view!

Loved our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated, our host was attentive without being intrusive. A little challenging to find in the dark, our GPS didn’t pick up the address. On a mountain with a steep, narrow road (they all are!) After we figured out the lay of the land, we were able to zip around pretty quickly wherever we wanted to go.

Fabulous property

Casie, the owner,met us when arrived and walked us thru the property and explained everything about the properly and the amenities which was very much appreciated. Then view from the unit was out of this world and we could hear the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach as we slept at night. As mentioned in previous reviews, the property is close to town and restaurants. I would highly recommend booking this property for a visit to St. John

Relaxing stay in St John

Nice little guest house with beautiful views over Hart Bay. Very comfortable for two people. Kitchen well supplied to allow for some cooking. Beach towels and chairs provided, which was a bonus. Host on property and very responsive. Property is dependent on rain for all water, so necessary to conserve water (and purchase all drinking water). Pool deck could use some upkeep. Road to the house is not for the faint of heart - definitely need an SUV and have to drive carefully on the narrow/rough road, but worth it to be close to town and have nice views!

Misleading

Picture is not of the house you’re renting. It’s the view. Nice view. House needs repairs. Patio doors leak water and screens are coming off. Chairs on balcony need to be thrown out. Internet worked only half the time. Cooler was old and leaked. No sand chairs they were regular chairs. Had to rent beach chairs. Decking old and rotting. Not privacy. Needs TLC. Would not stay again
