We had an excellent weekend at this beautiful property for a large extended family reunion. With people traveling from multiple locations in three different states, it was a perfect midpoint to gather. We had 11 adults, 2 teenagers, and 5 kids in the two houses. The kitchen and gathering spaces in the main house are awesome and the gameroom in the back house is incredible. Access to the lake, hot tub, and fire pit made our time together even better! Great property for a large group.

I didn’t stay there personally. It was rented for a group of men from our church for a retreat. It was a good fit for them. They spoke highly of it. They said it was perfect for their event.

We had an amazing stay. It fit our extended family perfectly with lots of space and areas to get away if needed. The swimming area was perfect for all of us. We spent a lot of time swimming/floating since it was a warm week. A few things like newer pots and pans, new broom, sharper knives would be great.Overall though a great place to rent for a lake vacation and we plan to be back next year!!

Not in good shape. Stairway to lower level filthy. Toilet seats need repair in front house. Coffee pot was not emptied by last occupant and coffee grounds were molded as well as the entire inside of the coffee pot. Game room had broken basked on the basket ball game. Host was very cordial and helped with check in. Found no bath towels until we looked in washer to find them wet. Re-washed dried and put away.

Welcome to Shady Side

Another VRBO rental did not disappoint! Main house and garage house were clean, comfortable, well maintained, and kitchens well stocked. More than enough refrigerator space for 5 families with 18 total members! We enjoyed fishing, kayaks and boating on the lovely lake! Andy was VERY responsive with issue with chemical level of hot tub with pool staff coming out more than once. Be prepared to make your own beds would be my only issue. Thank you Andy for sharing your lovely property with our family. It was lovely and we will carry away many fond memories.

Summerfest

We had four generations of our extended family together. Ages ranged from 95 to 4 and everyone had a wonderful time. The property was so well suited to our group. We especially loved the rec room and utilized that each night. The outdoor space was ideal for visiting and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also enjoyed the beautiful clear water each day of the week. Each of the indoor spaces was well suited to a large group where we could gather to have a meal, play cards or just visit while the kids watched a show. The bedrooms where able to accommodate our group nicely and we enjoyed having access to two kitchens for meal preparation. Overall, this property is a must for a large family gathering for a vacation together!

Family vacation

This property provided all the room we needed for our family of 22. Grandparents, parents, and grand childern. The location was great and we all very much enjoyed being on the lake. We enjoyed our water activities and when the weather didn't cooperate, we played games and cards, etc. There were some minor problems and the manager took care of our concerns.

Wonderful Weekend!

Perfect place for our active three-generation family with plenty of space for everyone to be together or spread out by age groups. Kids LOVED the game room across the street that also contained a new three bedroom apartment upstairs. The multi-level main house on the lake provided a big kitchen and beautiful lake views. The binders in both houses were very helpful with everything from guest expectations to things to do in the area. Hosts did a great job on pre-visit communications and were easily reached while there. We would definitely rent from them again. A note to other multi-age gatherings: because of the topography, all participants need to be able to navigate stairs.

Spacious vacation home with great views!

Views are great from the deck and lakefront house. Bedrooms and loft are good size. Living areas are very spacious with lots of seating. Massive game room and large kitchens. Lakefront area is shallow enough for all ages to play in sandy bottom lake. Steps into lake are a great feature. A very enjoable week!

Great Home, Beautiful Lake

Our family from all over the US rendezvoused to spend a week on Crooked Lake. The home was perfect. We rented out the front and back house. There were a total of 8 adults and five children (ranging from 1-13) and we had more than enough space, not only to sleep, but also relax. The house was clean. Andy was very responsive. Highly recommend it!
