Bella Alpina is a chalet over 200 years old in the heart of the old village of Bonneval-sur-Arc. It’s nestled in the heart of the Alpes de Haute Maurienne, surrounded by majestic peaks. It has been renovated to a 4* Luxury standard. You’ll immediately feel at home here, transported to another world, as if travelling back in time. When you step outside the chalet in the morning, you’ll feel as though you’re walking through a place that hasn’t changed in 100 years. <br>This chalet is set against a postcard-perfect backdrop. In fact, you can see it on one of the iconic postcards of Bonneval-sur-Arc, which features the street, the church, and the mountain in the background (see photos)<br><br>The chalet consists of 2 apartments:<br>- Gran Paradisio: 12 people<br>- Edelweiss: 6 people (up to 8)<br>Both apartments can be rented together.<br><br>This listing describes Edelweiss, which sleeps 6 people (up to 8), ideally 2 adults with 4 children. It is possible to accommodate 2 additional people in a separate bedroom, but the bed is “cosy” as it measures only 140x190.<br><br>Edelweiss is on the ground floor, with a shared entrance with Gran Paradisio from the street, or a private entrance directly from the side of the chalet that leads to the garden.<br><br>You enter through a ski room where you can leave your boots to dry on heated racks, along with all your ski or hiking gear.<br><br>Once you step through the door of Edelweiss—which has its own landing leading to the laundry room and sauna—you enter the living area, which features a lounge, a large round dining table made of reclaimed wood that seats 6 guests, an open-concept kitchen next to it, and the master bedroom.<br>This bedroom, furnished entirely in reclaimed wood, features a 160x200 bed.<br>From the kitchen, you’ll enter the children’s room, which features four bunk beds made of reclaimed wood. They’re sturdy and were built in the style of mountain huts, so they can accommodate adults if needed.<br><br>Next, you’ll find the third bedroom, known as the “igloo”—a very cosy space lit by a skylight and a light well.<br><br>The bathroom, featuring blue mosaic tiles and reclaimed wood, is equipped with a Starck bathtub and two Duravit sinks.<br><br>From the entryway, you’ll also find a separate bathroom.<br><br>Inside, everything has been designed with us in mind—to make us feel at home, to reconnect as a family after exhausting weeks of a busy, demanding life. It’s very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The old wood, larch logs, and slate roof complement the cosy bedrooms, a welcoming living room, an island kitchen for preparing meals with friends, a sauna, and a library of comic books and other books<br><br>The standard is high in both the amenities and the materials chosen.
