The best hosts ever! When we arrived the power was out all over the area due to bad weather. The hosts graciously moved us to another one of their properties, Property # 2196700, that was beautiful. After 12 inches of snow our second day at the property the hosts plowed the driveway so we could leave the next day. The property is right on Lake Michigan. Gorgeous sunsets! The house is immaculate and updated. We highly recommend the property and the hosts!
This was a perfect location for our family. My husband and I were so excited for the bike trail right outside. Our daughters loved the beach. The view from the deck is incredible. I could have sat outside all day and watched the water. The rooms were perfect. The communication was great and check in and out were a breeze.

The view was wonderful but ...It was very complicated to figure out how to get the internet and TV to work, but the host came out quickly and fixed it.Garbage bins were overflowing but again after contacting the host she came out and fixed that also.Overpowering cat smell around the exterior of the house. It was frustrating that there was no complimentary coffee, dish soap, beach chairs, or beach towels.Little things like having bedside lamps and a well stocked kitchen would have made our stay more pleasant.Again, great location and views of Lake Michigan!
The location on the beach was great. The cottage had a nice wide sandy CLEAN beach. Having the beach chairs supplied was wonderful. Lots of toys for sand castles. The cottage itself was clean, thanks for the throws in the living room. The upstairs bathroom was tiny - the sink was tiny and the shower - no fatties can use it! The downstairs bathroom shower was beautiful! But the sink is in the laundry room. Lots of towels and having a washer/dryer at the beach was perfect. The a/c is a necessity with the humid summer we had. All in all, it’s clean, functional and the price was at a good price point. The stairs are steep to the beach - hold onto the handrail! The views from inside and on the deck were spectacular! The owner was very responsive with questions and bringing a few items we needed. I would stay there again.
We liked the place overall. The sunsets didnt let us down, nice beach, nice setting, great neighborhood, and plenty to do.

The entire property is in a state of disrepair. From the moment you walk in, you’ll instantly notice any of the many issues with this place: the peeling wallpaper, the bugs and spiders, dirty carpet, gum on blankets, the smell… this was extremely misleading and unpleasant to stay in. I am extremely disappointed in the rental and how it completely took away from our ability to have a relaxing vacation weekend.
This property was clean, comfortable, cozy and charming tucked into a wooded area with a private stairway down to the shore of Lake Michigan to a private beach. The view of Lake Michigan from the house was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and bright. There were plenty of places to sit inside and outside and enjoy the view.
The location and lakefront on this property is fantastic. The inside is fine - not luxurious but completely functional and it's not likely you're staying in a place overlooking lake Michigan to be inside. It was clean when we got there which is impressive because of all the sand that's around. Deck is great for relaxing. Would recommend
Beautiful views of Lake Michigan from kitchen and living room windows. Cabin was old but beds were comfortable and all basic amenities were updated recently. Great great away for four adults. Beach was perfect! Stairs were steep and old, but well worth it to have access to the lake. Highly recommend and our group would definitely return!
Love the cabin and the spot on Lake Michigan was gorgeous!
The property was peaceful and relaxing. The views of Lake Michigan were outstanding. Only cons were the broken stairs at the bottom leading to the beach need repair and the mattresses need to be replaced.
If those things were fixed we would be back again and again!
Lake Michigan at its finest of you want to be on the lake and enjoy outdoor space and have beach access this is your place. 55 steps is all it take to have your toes In the water. Kitchen had ton of pots and pans great grill and washer dryer a plus.
Overall it was great. The view and beach were phenomenal. Shopping and trails close by. Need more storage in other two bedrooms. Did notice cob webs. I did have a load of dry linen and wet linen to deal with that were not mine.
This place was exactly as advertised = no crowds, lots to do. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views, swam on what was basically a private beach, and hit the bike trails that pass only about 100 yards away. Each night we enjoyed grilling and playing games on the deck, until we watched some breathtaking sunsets. We also found multiple great restaurants just minutes away. We hope to definitely stay here again. The owners answered any questions we had within minutes & we also recommend their fresh blueberries & local restaurant tips. THANKS!

Lake Michigan
Rickety stairs to the beach are scary and unsafe. Wrong password written for WiFi created frustration. We were asked to do laundry but were not provided with laundry soap.
Our family stayed at this cabin during one of the last weekends of the summer and had a great time. The beach area associated with the cabin is ideal because it's shallow going out to a good distance out and nice, fine sand. We stayed during one of the last weekends of the summer and other public beaches were jammed packed. The cabin is as advertised and 'historic', but you can tell that the owners are trying to upgrade portions of it (kitchen appliances, basement bathroom). If we weren't on the beach, we were sitting on the deck just enjoying the view that all of the neighboring multi-million dollar mansions have next to you. I searched up and down the Lake Michigan coast to find something affordable and this was the only option I could come up with that was right on the shore. You're also about 10 minutes out from Holland. Would definitely come back and stay here.
This is the place for you if you want a cozy, clean, historic cottage with million dollar views and direct access to Lake Michigan. As a historic cottage it is not luxurious or perfect, but IS comfortable and cool. We had several quirky little things come up, but the owner responded quickly and resolved promptly. As we had mild spring weather while there, we did not need to use either heat or A/C. The cottage is nicely furnished but the livingroom sofa cushions tend to sink when seated there. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is large enough for a crowd to gather. Overall, this is a cool, comfortable, and reasonably priced lakefront property with million dollar views! We would not hesitate to stay here again!
The property is an old cabin in a very nice quiet neighborhood. If you don't mind things a little rustic it is a wonderful way to enjoy Lake Michigan life. There are VERY steep wooden stairs up to the cabin from the parking area and down to the beautiful sandy beach. You need to have stamina and good knees. Also, bring all the cosmetics you need as well as all condiments as they do not provide any toiletries and not even salt and pepper in the kitchen. Fortunately, we were prepared and made lots of nice meals in the kitchen. The sunset views were unbeatable and chairs were provided for endless days of beach reads and swimming. We would stay here again.
The view and deck are spectacular and vacations are mostly outdoors. The bathroom on the main level is extremely small. The bathroom on the lower level has no sink and a curtain instead of a door. Thankfully my daughter and her husband had that room. As a guest be prepared to bring towels, spices. The neighbors were so quiet. My two small dogs loved the outdoor area. A park is two doors away. There are a lot of steps to the beach, about 50, so if you are elderly or have difficulty with exercise be careful. Plenty of restaurants and shops in downtown Holland which is about 15 min. away. But that view is amazing. The sunsets like a picture.
