About this property
Lakefront, family friendly home -Baseball campers!
- Lake/waterfront home on Goodyear Lake. - Conveniently located close to all baseball camps, SUNY Oneonta, and Hartwick college - COVID-19 cleaning compliant - Large lake view patio and yard for games or campfires and lake side deck and dock. - Enjoy swimming, excellent fishing, and any other watersport you desire. Canoe, row boat, and pedal boat on site for guest use. - Updated home with plenty of space, including a fireplace and air conditioning. - Away from it all, but close to all amenities!
From June through August it is baseball camp season! We gladly host baseball campers and their families for Cooperstown All-Star Village for their 6 night camp weeks. We rent to Cooperstown Dream Park families in weeks 14 and 15. Also, if you are attending Cooperstown Dream Park and need more than 6 nights, our property may work. Most likely you will need to stay at a hotel one or more nights as all rentals in the area stick to the 6 night rule, so 6 of your 7 or 8 nights will probably fall into our calendar - please just ask prior to booking - we will host you if we can! We’re very sorry Cooperstown Dream Park families for this limitation - in 2026 the schedules diverged for the first time so we had to pick one camp. However, as there will be guests checking in/out at the beginning/end of each baseball camp week, we only allow 6 night stays during this season. This is the norm for all rentals in the area. We understand the inconvenience this can cause guests coming from a distance. Generally, if coming from a distance, guests stay in a hotel for a night prior to heading to the lake as the hotels in the area do not have the 6 night requirement.
Please reach out if you have questions. Thank you in advance, we hope you love your stay!

An easy commute (use the freeway) to the All Star Village fields!!!Decent fishing off the dock- we caught some small mouth bass and blue gill. Use orange swimbaits, small spoons, and flies.
The property was absolutely perfect. The fall scenery on the lake was spectactular. We enjoyed the fire pit and slept very comfortably. I highly recommend and hope to return.
This was the perfect place to stay by Cooperstown ASV. Our kids loved the lake - canoe, boat, etc. And the porch and view were perfect to wake up to each day. Thank you!
Beautiful setting and lake. Everything was very clean. The main bed was super comfy too. Enjoyed daily time sitting on the porch. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Thank you for being a wonderful guest, Kathryn. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay!
The house was great and very well maintained. Beautiful view of the lake. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and rides in the paddle boat. Great location between Cooperstown Dreams Park and Cooperstown All Star Village. I had a few question during our stay and Steve was very responsive.
This house was great for us to enjoy our grandson play at All Star Village. It took us about 20 minutes to get there. Close enough to come back to the house when there was a break in the games. Loved having coffee in the morning on the deck looking out over the lake. The paddle boat was fun!
I booked this home somewhat last minute as an alternative to paying out the nose for a hotel for Oney grad weekend. What a GORGEOUS property. Well maintained, great communication, right on the lake. Simply beautiful. Wish I could have spent more time there. Highly recommend!
This rustic wood home was simply magical. With stone fireplace, wood floors and shiplap, full porch with carved natural wood railing overlooking Goodyear Lake, it really was special. We had coffee every morning on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the water, kids fished, made s’more’s in the fire pit…just beautiful. Wiffle ball to fishing rod, to floating off the your own dock, we loved it!
Well kept, great location. Enjoyed our stay. On hiccup is that all bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, which can make for some unusual risks during a middle of the night bathroom visit. I don’t believe that was mentioned and while I suppose it isn’t necessary, it would have been nice to know
The check-in time was 4 but we got there at 3 because we were traveling from MD and arrived a bit early. When we arrived there was a car in the parking spot, we thought it was just the cleaners. My boys, 9 and 11, love being on a lake so they immediately went down the steps towards the lake. Right before going down my son said "It smells like skunk". They quickly came running back up because a man was on the deck. He didn't even turn around so I didn't think it was the owner. I immediately called the number on listing, no answer so I left a message. About 10 mins. later a woman called saying she's the ex of the owner, but wanted to know if we were ok. By this point we were in the house and the man walked around the house and got in his car. I was looking out the dining room window to maybe take a picture of the plate and that's when he looked at me and waved. Needless to say, I was very creeped out and worried about my family and our stay especially since the porch door was left open. I eventually got in touch with the owner and he didn't seem concerned about the guy on the deck. Plus there isn't a deadbolt on the front door. We've stayed at MANY properties and this is the first time I didn't feel safe. The property also needs improvements. The last few steps to the dock are just unsteady rocks without a railing. The steps also has lots of poison ivy sticking through. We couldn't even access the canoe because of overgrowth and the paddle boat was practically under water.
We booked this wonderful cabin to bring our girls together for a family winter vacation and holiday celebration. It was everything the owner described in the listing and much more. The kitchen was very well stocked for us to prep and cook meals. The accommodations were comfortable and professionally done. The cabin felt like home. The lake was peaceful and beautiful, the fire place is the heart of the cabin. This unit is definitely quaint and feels like going to your very own family cabin. I highly recommend this cabin if you are in the area and want a awesome experience.
I'd go back in heartbeat. The view was worth the stay! Nice, peaceful lake. Wish we had more time to sit and enjoy it. House was clean and as listed. Bedrooms were small but so cozy and comfy.
Fantastic stay, gorgeous view of the lake, comfortable beds!! Would stay here again!
