We took my husband's cousins from Denmark to Red River for a couple of days. We loved the place, it was perfect for the 4 of us. You can't beat the location.
The location is amazing and the view is absolutely perfect! The beds really need to be replaced as both upstairs and downstairs are getting really bad! We’ve stayed here multiple times and stay for the location and view! If they make a few upgrades this place is great!
Very nice and clean .
Could use some updating , carpet , new mattresses would be a real big plus .
Over all good for the price !!
Deer in back yard every morning!

Great location but beds need replacing BAD
Cabin cute, FANTASTIC location. Right on the river, near Copper lift, kids fed ducks in the river every morning and mule deer every afternoon! Pretty clean, the main issue is the beds.Upstairs queen bed is fine, but the pull out bed in the upstairs is awful, literally no support for half of the mattress and it sinks down. The bedroom downstairs has a queen mattress on a full size bed frame so the box springs were hanging off the side which made the mattress sag halfway to the floor. They put some slats of wood under but they were cut short and NOT ATTACHED to the frame so they kept falling. After messing with it multiple times throughout the 1st night, my husband gave up and slept on the couch the entire trip. Heat in the place was hard to manage bc if you turn on the downstairs (which got REALLY cold) the upstairs was boiling. They did give a good amount of well-seasoned firewood which was a plus.I don’t want to give this place a bad review but a lack of decent places to sleep is a big deal especially when you are there to ski and need good sleep. We would love to stay here again next year but won’t unless they really fix the bed situation
This was our second stay at Happy beaver, it is an amazing location and cozy cabin. The only disappointment this stay was the cleanliness in the upstairs bathroom- has carpet that’s starting to mold in the corner, there was also mold in the shower, and a dirty shower curtain. The only other issue was there were not extra blankets for the pull out bed which we needed to use for our children. Thankfully we had a few throws we had taken up with us. The property managers are very responsive (we had a question with the grill). Overall it’s a great place to be! The upstairs just needs the updates downstairs has received.
Location is the best part of this property. Backs up directly to river and central to everything in town. Very short walk to anything in town. Granted you can walk the entire town in about 20 minutes. Cabin was very comfortable but as others have said, dated, especially bedrooms. Beds, noisy and a bit uncomfortable. Others mentioned and it's true, dining chairs and bar chairs have holes and very thin cushions to sit on. Kitchen could use a few new cookware pieces. Non stick was peeling off on many pots. Lay out was great and deck was amazing for morning coffee. Bring treats to feed the deer that will come up. Even with the few cons, I'd definitely stay again just because of location.
Loved everything about our condo, except some lights wouldn’t turn on. Next trip we really need a one story house, climbing the stairs about killed me, but hey I am in paradise!!
the house was a wonderful location and the management company extremely accommodating. The house itself needs a little maintenance - electrical outlets need changed/updated as several were not functioning properly, exposed carpet tacks on floor (stepped on several times - ouch).
This property was a good size for two of us but could easily sleep six comfortably. The house was as described. It could use a little updating but it served its purpose. The backyard was beautiful with wildlife and the river. We didn't use the kitchen much but had everything you would need. The bathrooms were equipped with nice towels and if we needed more, we were left a number to call. The TVs had all the channels you would need if you want to stay in and watch. Our bedding upstairs was a comfortable mattress but the comforter could be replaced. Sheets were adequate but not as soft as mine at home.
I felt like the cabin was clean but the carpet needs to be replaced. The furniture is well loved and out of date but acceptable for what we needed.
This cabin is just what you would need without all the upgrades and fancy fixtures. It was a good weekend and a quiet part of town while being walkable to almost anything in town.
This cabin is filthy. Black mold in both showers. Gray tape keeping the carpet together, the cabinet under the kitchen sink is full of water damage, cob webs hanging from the ceiling, a hole in the wall, damaged carpet in the bathroom. Gross!
This cabin is perfectly located on the river near the middle of town. We loved the layout and the beautiful view out of all those front windows. On the negative side, the cabin is dimly lit. There is no light above the dining table, so working puzzles or playing games at the table has to be done during the day. It would also be nice to have window shades that could be pulled down over the windows on the side of the cabin at night. Also, the cushions on the dining room chairs are so worn out that you literally sit on the wood frame of the chair. Lastly, there was only one table spoon that we had to share. That is something that should be easy to fix.
