We were extremely happy with the space and our stay! Walkable distance to everywhere we wanted to go, and plenty of parking for our group. We really appreciated the full bathroom on each floor and two washers/two dryers is very convenient. I will definitely save this as a favorite and look for it for future trips!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house! It’s a gorgeous home, very clean, and the host always answers any questions really quickly! It’s just a quick walk to Main Street and all Lake Placid has to offer! We will be renting this house again in the future!

Our family of 6 adults and a 6 year old stayed at this house 3/6-3/9 2026. We skied at Whiteface. The house was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. The home is so well done and decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We had the best weekend ever.

I’m sorry to say that we were very disappointed in several aspects of the property. The setup of the bathrooms is terrible. The second and third floors have three separate tiny rooms - one with a shower and sink, one with only a toilet, and one with only a sink. After using the toilet you have to go to another room to wash your hands. The hot water was unreliable - turning freezing cold in a couple of minutes. Most of the bedrooms had no closet or dresser - pegs on the wall to hang clothes, There were no instructions for using the TV remote or available channels, There were also no instructions on operating the gas fireplace. The gas grill on the deck appeared never to have been cleaned. The old grease in the bottom flared up unexpectedly. We finally found a fire extinguisher tucked away in the back of a supply closet on the second floor. It needs to be in a noticeable location in case of an emergency. While Little Bear Lodge was very clean and was nicely located with plentiful parking, it left us disappointed!

An overwhelming number of our 131 reviews are all 5 star reviews. This guest must have been having a bad day, sorry. We designed the "Little Bear Lodge" specifically for short term rental and built it from the ground up brand new custom. We split up all the bathrooms into different rooms so multiple people could use the facilities at the same time. No waiting for someone to get out of the bathroom. Works great. To our knowledge, there is no issue with the hot water. Enjoy! Ray & Claire
