The Purple Parrot is a must for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beaches on Mustang Island or you have the option of staying at the unit and enjoying the private pool. Located walking distance from the beach and many restaurants. Or rent a golf cart to get places faster. We are located in the golf cart zone which makes for a fun stay.
This home has room underneath for parking and playing games, a fully stocked kitchen with Quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The living room and each bedroom features their own TV to enjoy some quiet time after your eventful day!
We would be honored to host your stay.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Place trash in outside trash bins and pull to the end of the driveway.
Pile used towels in hallway.
Lock doors and windows. Place key back in the lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Perfect get away

The property has everything you need. Clean, close to the beach and a pool. The main reason we picked this place was the heated pool so the kids could swim at night and they really enjoyed it. The house has everything you need and the host is quick to respond to requests. We would book this place again.

Great long weekend!

We stayed for a wedding in Corpus. 6 adults and 2 kids. The house was perfect size for us. The appliances are all very nice and work well. Kitchen is fully stocked. It was really nice having beach toys too. Good location. Host was great!

Great family vacation!

The house was beautiful just like the pictures and the location was great!! Close to everything in the center of town and just a 5 minute drive to the beach. Heather was wondering in communication with us on any questions we had about the house, she was fast & easy to get ahold of. The pool was clean and they had just about anything you need. Thanks for sharing your house with us, we will be back!!

Amazing spot, had a fabulous time and the property was amazing! Super clean and everything you need with pool, bbq pit and all amenities! Communication was excellent when I had any questions or concerns! Location to beach and bars and restaurants was a short golf cart away! Next time in this will be my choice of stay! Great house and location!

We loved this house. The location was great, and the underneath area had tons of space to store all of our wet/sandy gear. This was the first year we’ve had our own pool and we loved it. Our only complaint was that we wished we could have set the thermostat a little lower. It was locked at 72 which was perfectly comfortable in the majority of the house, but the master bedroom (especially with the door closed for privacy at night) was at least 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. Otherwise we had a great stay here for a week.

Wonderful experience at the Purple Parrot

Great experience staying at the Purple Parrot. Beautiful home with cozy beach vibes. Spotlessly clean, provides just enough of what you need for a stay and plenty of beach gear/sand toys etc plus a nice clean pool and area below deck to enjoy the outdoors. Host was immediately on top of a minor issue and provided excellent communication. Loved the little extra touches in this home. We will be back.

Quick Weekend to the Beach

We had an amazing time at the Purple Parrot! The house is clean and spacious! Has everything you need from grilling to towels! Recommend renting a golf cart...it's the best (and totally the most fun) way to get around the island! The pool was awesome in the evening when the beach was too chilly to swim! Brought my spunky 76 year old mother and she had a great time! Highly recommend!

Excellent family getaway

This place was absolutely perfect for our family. Not only did we have so much room for us, it was a great location near stores and a super short 3 min golf cart ride to the beach. The home was spotless, beds we’re comfortable, AC was nice and cool all day, and the pool was perfect for our family. Having a shower outside to wash down and washer/dryer in the home was great! It’s so nice to come home and have everything washed already. Heather gave us a gift card with our stay for a local restaurant which our friends staying somewhere else thought was really nice. The golf cart rental recommendation she provided was excellent (included another discount) and their service was top not h just like her. We will definitely stay again and longer than 4 days. Thanks again Heather for your quick response and alm the helpful recommendations you provided before/during our stay!

This was the best stay by far! I was so surprised when I saw extra blankets and pillows for your use. Extra towels for the beach and for just a regular showers. I know it’s small things but hey I’ve never seen a stay with so many extra things for your use. Pool was awesome! The washer and dryer was awesome. My daughter was able to color while there since they had crayons and coloring books. Dollar general was just next door so it was easy access incase you forgot anything. I would definitely recommend for anybody! I’m looking forward to be back at the purple parrot! My whole family loved it. Thank you for beyond meeting our expectations. We appreciate it

Family Beach Getaway

The property lived up to all our expectations. Plenty of parking for three vehicles. The living room, dining room and kitchen were spacious for our group of 6 adults and three small children. We prepared several meals at the house and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The house was very clean upon arrival. All three bedrooms were exactly what we needed for our group and the beds were all comfortable. Downstairs was the pool and lots of patio furniture. The pool was clean, cool and refreshing for an afternoon swim. We had an excellent trip and highly recommend this property. Our favorite so far in Port A.

We enjoyed our stay

The Purple Parrot was a great place for our family. Plenty of space, in a nice, quiet area yet closely located to the beach, shops and restaurants. The home was spotless when we arrived and appeared brand new. The kids loved the heated pool and swam our entire stay even though it was rainy and so cold outside. We’ll definitely return anytime, especially when the weather is warmer!
