We loved the cabin feel and the quiet location. The house was perfect for our long weekend stay and hiking in RMNP and surrounding area. We would stay here again.
Perfect romantic getaway in Estes Park! Super close to downtown and attractions as well as RMNP trailheads. Hot tub and views were amazing. Will definitely come back next we visit Colorado.
Nice cozy cabin! Comfy bed! Quick easy drive into town. Host is very nice and quick to respond. Hot tub was clean, hot and perfect for star gazing. Path up to the cabin from parking was fairly well lit, but may pose a risk to some "not so sure-footed" guests, especially if ice is present. Otherwise a very pleasant place to stay.
The location is nice, great view of the mountain and comfortable cabin. Great location for site seeing the area and nice enough to just relax at the cabin.

Liked: Location
This property gets one star for the location, and another for the mountain view. It is conveniently located 5 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, and the views are great. We appreciate older properties with character and charm, but this cabin was disappointing. This property has some significant structural and safety issues that made it hard to relax. We were happy to check out.

We certainly hate to see a 2 star review as our top goal is to provide a great guest experience. This review is very vague and provides no specific issues we can address. We are unaware of any structural or safety issues and believe this is inaccurate. The guest never reached out to us during their stay to communicate any concerns. We will of course double check everything in the cabin and make sure it is in great shape for guests.
The cabin I stayed in was so comfortable and peaceful! It was far enough off the beaten path around Estes Park that traffic was minimal and the sound of the river was crystal clear. I would stay at Rose Den again!!
Great stay, and great property but definitely need to be cautious if youre of taller stature (we are both 6'3") as we both hit our heads in the bathroom doorway.
This cabin was absolutely perfect we couldnt have asked for anything more! Very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing and the kitchen had all the basic necessities. We will definitely be returning in the future!
We loved staying at this cabin for a long weekend! We spent 2 days hiking and it was in the perfect location for being close to the park. So much charm inside the cabin, felt like a mountain home compared to something new/more modern. But plenty of modern touches still! Communication with the owner was excellent! Would definitely stay again!!! :)
A charming, rustic cabin that was a perfect location for our Rocky Mountain adventures! Easy access to the Bear Lake Trails, Horseshoe Park and into town at Estes Park. This morning we were treated to the Elk bugling and rutting in Moraine Park. Absolutely magical. We would highly recommend the Rose Den !
It was a nice cabin but my only issue is I feel like for the amount of money I paid I didn’t get what the listing had posted. The hot tub is just sitting outside which would be ok but it should have some kind of covering because we were unable to use it do to the snow and the lid being frozen shut. Also the tv was literally 20 inches and had 11 channels. And it was in the corner. The town did not have a whole lot to do since it’s winter so we spent time at the cabin and had to watch whatever on our phones due to the tv being the way it was and being placed in the corner of the room. It would be a great place if the price reflected amenities. Just a little out dated I bet during the summer it would be a great place but do not recommend for the winter.

Thanks for your feedback Kevin. I wanted to update that we have now purchased a much larger smart TV as well as a ceiling mount so that it can be watched more comfortably and still preserve the amazing views when not in use.
In regard to the hot tub, it does indeed sit outside with unobstructed views of the stars and mountain sky. However, Colorado weather is unpredictable and in the winter, snow is normal and expected. To clarify for future guests, the hot tub has a cover and latch. In the midst of heavy snows, the snow will accumulate on top of the lid and will need to be cleared off prior to opening.
Thus cabin met and exceeded our wants and needs for our weekend getaway. Neat little place, very private, very romantic. Snd we woke up to 7 deer in the front yard. We want to set up a family trip in one of the larger cabins soon! Great communication, and will recommend to everyone!
Rose Den was the perfect cabin for our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. It has a great view of Longs Peak, and only a few minutes from the entrance to RMNP. As noted in the website description, it is not easy to get luggage from the parking area to the cabin entrance, but once we were inside, it was well worth the effort. The facilities were very good for our needs. This is a place we will come back to when we next visit RMNP.
My siblings and I had an amazing time staying at the Rose Den! It was just perfect for us. Communication was great and the host was very friendly and gave us great tips! I would love to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
The cabin had everything it promised. Located on a hill with other cabins, it keeps a nice mix of outdoors, Mountain View and great location that is a close drive to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. We are hoping to return again soon!
The place was affordable. We liked that it has access to a hot tub. The cabin was very hard to access without stairs. It was also a little dated, but it worked for our short trip.
