Unit 1012
We stayed at unit 1012 from Friday April 5 to Sunday April 7. I will be purchasing a unit in the building later this spring and have stayed at the Galvestonian many times over the years. The check in process was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unit 1012 was a disappointment. At the conclusion of our stay, we read the reviews and numerous people said that the unit needs a deep clean. Completely agree!!! The bathrooms were dirty. The tile had mold in the grout. Dust on the pictures throughout the unit, and a caked layer of dust on a picture in the guest bedroom that looked like it had been there for a year or more. Wobbly ceiling fan that needed to be repaired in the guest bedroom. We rented this unit because the owner was listed as a Premier Host, but this unit needs a deep cleaning before it can be rented out again. Upon checkout, we asked to see a unit in the Galvestonian Rental Program, and there is a clear difference between the Galvestonian Rental Program unit cleaning standards, and this unit which was listed through VRBO. I would not recommend staying here until the owner has the unit thoroughly cleaned - which is in agreement with other reviewers.
