This Penthouse condo is just a dune walkover to the beach!
Featuring 2 balconies this condo offers views of the SUNRISE and SUNSET. Wake up to the sound of the ocean! The Primer Bedroom includes a full shower in the ensuite! The second bedroom also has views of the ocean from all angles. Views of both the Ocean, the Ship Channel and estuary nature preserve. Located close to all Galveston has to offer while still having access to a quite beach.
This complex comes with incredible amenities. Enjoy a dip in the HEATED POOL or play a game of tennis/pickleball on one of the 2 courts available to guest! There is a washer and dryer available in the Complex Laundromat. Pets are not allowed.

Galveston Relaxacation

Islander East is great location. The most groups on beach at any one time was five, most of time it was three or less. The location is close to everything but separated enough for peace and quiet. The condo had great ninth floor view of the Gulf. My wife said this was the best equipped kitchen she has seen in any beach condo. We would definitely rent this condo again when back in Galveston.

Birthday Weekend getaway

We were two senior couples on a weekend trip for my husband's birthday. This was exactly what we were looking for! The views of the gulf were wonderful, and the views from the back balconies were as well. Very clean and comfortable. We all agreed we'd stay here again.

Great East-Side Condo

Awesome views from both Ocean and Bay patios. Nicely updated and comfortable. Very nice people at the Islander East facility - super helpful. Warm heated pool, easy access to secluded beach, easy access to attractions and Strand. Great stay!

Excellent quiet getaway

Overall nicely laid out & very comfortable. Definitely not a place for excessive noise or crazy party animals. Nice place to relax, enjoy the view, walk down to the beach or take a swim in the pool. The Seawall & all the restaurants, bars & eye candy are literally 5 minutes down the road. Definitely a nice place to stay !

Nice, Quiet Stay

The building is located about a mile away from the busier side of town. The beachfront almost feels like it's private because of it being away from the hustle and bustle. The building is a bit dated, but it's a very clean building with amazing staff. If we go back to Galveston, we would stay here again.

Lovely location

We spent Christmas at the penthouse. We enjoyed the location, the service, and the terrific views. The place faces 3 sides of the world. The kitchen is well supplied. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very comfortable. Our only comment: the living area is smaller than we expected.

Fantastic Beach Getaway

We had a great time at this terrific condo located just a short walk (along an elevated walkway) to the beach. No crossing roads - just a straight walk from the condo to the beach. The unit is well furnished, with separate air conditioners in the living rooms and bedrooms. This was great for family members who preferred to set their own room temperatures. The reservation, payment, and check-in process was smooth, and we felt that the location was unbeatable for the price. The views (from 3 sides) were great. We will keep this place on our short list of vacation options.

Retreat by ocean

Our group of friends enjoyed the cozy and comfortable condo. 901 had several vantage points where we could enjoy an ocean view or beautiful beach landscape. Mr. Carnes was our host. He made sure that our housekeeping needs were met. Islander East is a well cared for property. It is near many attractions. The beach access almost seems private. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think we all enjoyed our stay there. It was a nice retreat for us.

Windy

It was fun! We walked on the beach everyday and at least put our toes in the Gulf. Pretty windy every day. We had trouble with master patio doors and other things that are on the condo comment card. It was a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Very close to all the things going on on the Seawall and Galveston! The pool was fun, the guys tried horseshoes and we enjoyed our time. Just too windy! Fabulous how pelicans fly by so close to front and side. Could never get their picture! Thanks!

Nice Property w/ good location

Islander East is a nicely maintained, gated, condo tower with fun amenities and a great location on the beach. Overall, the condo was a nice stay for a weekend with wonderful views. Elevator in condo is very slow, so using stairs to go down 9 floors was often utilized. Host uses multiple platforms for rental communication, though doesn't respond to communication - through VRBO, e-mail, or text. Despite submitting appropriate paperwork beforehand, front desk may not be aware of your reservation upon arrival causing additional time and paperwork to be completed.

Perfect Quiet Location on Beach

The ocean breezes and views were spectacular!!! The condo had some very nice upgrades with beautiful kitchen and bath. Beds were comfortable with memory foam toppers. Curtains blocked light so you could sleep! Everything including the TV and Netflix actually worked! Kitchen had everything you need. (This building has weathered a few storms and the elevator is slow but the pool was clean and warm and super deep 9 feet so it was more fun for the kids. Also they had luggage carts which helped alot). Needs a good cleaning - tops of fan blades and under beds etc have not seen the love but thats about usual for rentals. Overall great place in a stellar location and both the building management and the rental property management (Five stars for Robbie) were awesome!!

Islander east condo

Booking said “essentials” were stocked at condo . No tp, paper towels, soap, napkins and one trash bag! Called property manager and they brought one of each! When you book for a long eeekend you shouldn’t have to go out and shop for essentials when they were promised in the price.
