The wedding venue, Hidden Valley Vineyard was only 8 min away & I took some time to explore St Joseph while in the area. Very nice place to stay

Location was exactly where we needed it to be. The studio was cute, clean and well stocked. We don’t VRBO often so for us there was a learning curve in understanding descriptions. The place was much smaller than we anticipated. That misunderstanding was on us though. We appreciated the location and were thankful to stay there.

This place is SOOO tiny! There is no place to sit unless you pull out the Murphy bed. The outside appearance is pretty messy and unkempt.

Hi Catherine ~ I'm so glad you came to experience my studio/loft. There are several options for sitting: two chairs, a large bench with pillows, and the bench on the Murphy bed 'wall' which was 'down' and ready for you to sit on and in the 'up' position the Murphy bed can be put down. As regards the outside appearance, this area was experiencing a great heat wave, with everything (in all parts of the town) dry and unkempt. To mow would have killed the grass. As regards the front garden, most parts are past the blooming season and grew inches every day despite the heat. There wasn't any foliage that impeded your walk from your car to the studio/loft entrance and inside.

Peaceful bliss

I went to a wedding not too far from this place and was so glad to have found it! The pictures do make it seem a bit bigger but when I got there and got a feel of the place I fell in love. It was very clever how Nina turned part of her garage into a studio! It was perfect for me as a solo getaway and so cozy. I will definitely be back.

Great host, great location, great cozy space.

Nina is an amazing host, with great location near several winery's including Lemon creek winery and not too far from Weko beach. The space is well decorated, very cozy and perfect for couples or 2 people to share a comfortable Murphy bed and a nice small upper level nook and has everything you need to cook or warm up food, but the best part is the full bathroom, which might look small but is a great size and does not feel cramped . Hope to come back soon. Thanks for everything Nina.

Celebrated my 45th birthday and had a nice little getaway in October of 2023!

My husband and I came out to seek the Niles, MI 50th haunted houses Anniversary. Usually we stay at a hotel in Niles, MI but Notre Dame was having a home game so the hotels were ridiculously overpriced! So therefore I started searching for a close by VRBO. Nina had the perfect little place for us! Cozy, clean, warm and cute! Perfect and just exactly what we needed for our 2 day trip in October! A wonderful trip/ getaway/ birthday to remember! :-)

Cute small place

Very clean and neat space but quite small. It was fine for me but when the Murphy bed is down there is no room to move around in the main space. Just an FYI if you plan to have multiple guests. Also, I noticed the description reads that this is wheelchair accessible. I did not need this feature but it is NOT wheel chair accessible. Great shower and super comfy bed. Close to all the fun things to do.

Cute and Cozy

We stayed at the Nina's studio loft while visiting my son who recently moved to the area. The space is cleverly designed to make the most of the space. Nina put a lot of attention to detail and to guests comfort. The murphy bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed sitting by the firepit one night. One note: the space was very warm when we arrived, but we ran the ceiling for a while and left the screen door open to cool the place. Nina said it will updated with an a/c unit. I would stay here again.

Perfect for intimate getaway!

This was a special treat for me and my husband. The atmosphere in this home was breath taking. The craftmanship and décor gives one the feeling of a coastal getaway. Yes, it is a tiny house within the confines of a garage. Genius! Who knew one could make such a cool and peaceful place while creating a warm and welcoming feeling all at the same time. Clean, perfectly decorated with love and care. This is a couple's getaway for sure, cozy, and intimate, yet roomy enough for two big oldies like me and my husband. We will stay again.

Nice, little, clean space.

The owner was very accommodating from start to finish. We asked before arrival if there was an electrical outlet on the exterior close to the driveway. We had our fishing boat and needed to charge our batteries. When we arrived she had strung a cord and it was hanging on the fence for us to use. As we entered the space it was refreshing to find everything neatly done and very clean. The Murphy bed was awesome! The loft is tight. I am still in disbelief that my son and I both took a turn sleeping up there. I am 6’1 and 220 lbs and my son is both taller and heavier. The day after our stay I received a text from the owner asking if we had left some shirts and if we would like her to send them to us. I replied yes, and in a few days I received them in the mail folded, packaged nicely and they smelled like she had washed them. Thank you Doris for being such a great hostess. This is a nice, little, clean space. Yes, we would stay again.

Hi Paul! Thanks for your great review! I think you're my first guests who've brought their fishing boat and had fishing as their main goal!! I didn't realize that you'd need two separate beds and were both adults (tho the pictures explain!) so would have communicated to make sure you understood sleeping arrangements!! Yes, I did wash the shirts as it'd been humid out and I didn't want them to get stinky during shipment!! They told the story via displays that you're avid fisherpeople!! And lastly, the studio/loft is named Dori's Heart for my Mom. We lost her to ovarian cancer 30 years ago and miss her like crazy. Take care ~ Nina
