Two of us, older fishermen, primary purpose was a comfortable place on a lake where we could fish. Cottage was comfortable, lake access and pier exceptional.
Everything was as advertised. Neat, clean, & well appointed. Lisa was very friendly and responsive. The bungalow was immaculate & had everything we needed. We had a truly relaxing time visiting with our family up the road. We will definitely book this location again!
The PERFECT place! The cabin was super clean and cozy. The location was absolutely perfect! The owner took the time to clean all of the seaweed out from the water in front of the cabin which was amazing! Our babies played in the sand and the water the entire time. We would definitely come back!
We had a nice stay. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The sandy beach kept our granddaughter happily playing all day. There’s plenty of parking and the boat launch is only a few miles away. The neighbors are very friendly. The lake is just the right size for fishing, tubing and kayaking. The area has lots to offer including horseback riding and places to eat. We look forward to our next stay.
A beautiful place on an amazing inland Michigan lake. The accommodations are first rate. The beach and dock were more than adequate to enjoy the water and dock the boat. Big lake provided close to a 100 combined largemouth bass and northern pike. Also, plenty of panfish. This was during our three day stay in early August. We hope to come back!
My family of five (kids ages 6,4, & 2) enjoyed every minute playing in the sand, fishing off the dock, and having fires in the evening. Our stay was a nice quiet break from reality and we enjoyed every minute of it!

So glad to hear this!! Thank you for staying with us :)
This updated cabin is so cute and had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and grill were spot on, and the beach and lake were amazing. We made so many sand castles on the beach. We would totally recommend staying here!!!
My friend and I stayed for a long weekend to rest and relax and read a few books in each of our to be read book piles! Very comfortable, beautiful view, the covered porch is perfect for enjoying the breeze off the lake. Very clean, kitchen was well stocked to cook meals, and the check in and out process was easy. We look forward to our next stay!

Thank you very much! I am glad you had a relaxing weekend! :)
The cabin is exactly how it’s pictured in the ad, it’s just as beautiful as you hope it is. We were able to book it for a family wedding, which turned out wonderful. The weather, wedding event, lake and home was perfect. Thank you so much!! Highly recommend your accommodations.
The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The sandy beach is perfect for young children to play. There is plenty of parking for a couple of vehicles and a boat trailer. Neighbors are very friendly and the host is easy to contact and very responsive. The surrounding area has horseback riding, splash pad and other fun activities.

Thank you Ivan and family! I love that you enjoyed your week away! For the 3rd summer in a row! Til next summer!
Love the house and the location. Did lots of kayaking. Had fun in the water. Would have loved a picnic table or something like it to eat our dinners outside. Also needed one more sauce pan. Thanks for a wonderful week at your house.

We had an amazing time at the cottage. The owners are extremely responsive and friendly. The cottage is clean and well kept and includes just about everything needed for a stay. The dock makes taking your boat along very easy. There’s also kayaks to take out on the lake. The neighbors are also very friendly. The area has lots to offer such as horseback riding and go cart racing.

Thanks Ivan! It was so nice to meet your family! And thanks for the worm hint! They are working well :)
The owners and family were very accommodating and incredibly welcoming. They made us feel like one of the family at the lake. The house itself was incredible with the amazing porch/patio that overlooked the lake that was literal steps away. Whether you spend nights by a fire or up on the outdoor patio couch, it was as relaxing and enjoyable as it gets. More than enough room inside and out for our 4 family members (wife/spouse, 2 kids under 6). Perfect getaway with a perfect host!

Thank you Kyle and Danny, I we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Big Lake! We hope to see you next summer :)
This cabin was just as advertised, pictures are all accurate. If you are looking for a place to just chill with family or friends, this is it. The lake itself is a quiet place. We kayaked in the morning and late afternoon and it was very peaceful. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and was super clean and everything looked new.
We loved it and are talking about going back next summer. It would also be a great spot in the Fall.
This property is a beauty! We love the wood cabin feeling. This cabin had everything we needed except food and clothes! We loved the lake and the dock. Feeding the fish every morning was a family favorite. As well as kayaking, it was a first for the kids, now considering buying our own! The owners were very responsive and quick to handle any concerns. This vacation allowed us to relax and just take it all in. We will be back soon!sfamil!

That is awsome Kristen! You were a great renter! I am so glad your family enjoyed your stay! It is a kick back and back and relax little cottage! Hope to talk next summer :)
We had an amazing stay at The Big Lake Bungalow! We are a very busy family and a week unplugged on a beautiful lake was just what we needed before school. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to cook at home the whole week. The kayak's were a big hit with both kids and parents and we spent so much time in the water. The only thing was we thought towels were provided but there were only 3 for our family of 4 so we had to go buy some more. But, it was such a small issue that did nothing to bring down our wonderful experience.

Thank you Victoria! I am so happy to hear you enjoyed your week! I am so sorry about the towels. Normally there are more towels. Enjoy the rest of your summer :)
We really enjoyed the cottage and the area. The cottage is clean and comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. The boat launch is nearby. Bring dock bumpers if you have a boat. Evart has a park for kids to play and includes a splash pad. You can ride horses at Rockin L Ranch just outside of Evart. The lake is just over 200 acres and offers decent bass fishing. It’s an all sports lake and did get lots of boat traffic while we were there. Most of the big boats were from the campground. The neighbors on each side of the cottage are very friendly and helpful. We experienced very good communication with the owner.

Thank you for the review Ivan, I am so happy you enjoyed your stay! And Noted on the dock bumpers, I will try to round some up for future renters! Hope to see you again.
Everything was great. I appreciated how clean and new everything was. I highly recommend staying here for those reasons. The only downsides were the lack of AC, no wifi, no cell service, and the bunk bed is difficult for an adult to safely get in and out of. Maybe anti-slip tape for adults trying to climb up and down and a handle. I made it up and down without incident, but I'm pretty active. If you want a clean and quiet get away, this place is great! I just wasn't prepared for no wifi or cell service.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay Mark. I apologize for the bunk beds. We will address the issue. As for the WIF. I we do advertise for a technology free weekend I am sorry you did not see that in the advertisement. Sometimes its nice to just unplug from the busy day to day life. As far as cell service you are correct. Verizon is spotty depending on the cell traffic at the time you are there. AT&T is always great thought. We also state that there is no AC in the cottage but the breeze is usually pretty nice off the lake but we do get the occasional hot dog days of summer. That is where a good dunk in the lake comes in handy. :) Thank you for the review.
