The house was exactly as pictured / described. Would highly recommend for a large family or group of friends looking to be close to the beach.

Very Disappointed
The home itself was very disappointing upon arrival and throughout our stay. We arrived to find the fridge full of old perishable food, which we had to clean out immediately. All garbage containers were overflowing and had to be emptied right away. There were wads of hair on the bathroom floor and the bed sheets and pillow cases were very old and stained. The kitchen floor felt like it was very sandy and hadn't been swept. This was especially disappointing because I had messaged the property management days before our arrival and very nicely pointed out that the reviews I had read had some consistent negative feedback about cleanliness of the rental and requested that they please ensure that the VRBO was clean. No response from that message and it was not clean at all.
The weather turned rainy and cold while we were staying there and, although it sounded like the heater was running, there was no heat coming from the vents or hot water baseboards so it became cold and uncomfortable.
I had also messaged the property management a few days before our arrival because the VRBO confirmation email did not indicate a pet and we were bringing our small dog. I only searched for pet friendly properties when I booked the rental and I indicated that were were bringing our small dog on the reservation. They messaged back that it was fine but then sent me a Venmo request for $150 soon after we arrived. I don't plan on paying this fee given the unclean condition of the home.
We had a great time at this property. Very close to town. We got to walk to everything. Lots of space for all of us to congregate and to sleep. The only sad thing was the propane was out of the fire pit so we couldn’t have a fire.
I will rent again for sure. The house wasn’t very clean when we arrived and we had to go buy toilet paper. Other than that it was a great rental and I will for sure rent again.
I'd give 0 stars if there was a choice. They honestly shouldn't be able to rent to others.
Renting here was a nightmare. We arrived to a very cold and dirty home. At check in we walked in to a cold home trying to turn up the heat only to find out the gas was SHUT OFF BY THE GAS COMPANY, meter was taken off the house and locked off. So there was no heat and no hot water for fireplace or base board heat. The place was not welcoming and had used toothbrushes on the bathroom counter with no soap or any towels. Clothes and shoes throughout the home like someone just ran out the door. The home owner would not answer the messages or calls and I had to Vrbo involved. So much wasted time from our trip. We ended up having to find a different place to stay and vrbo is working on a refund.
Great space inside and out right in heart of town and beach.
Relaxing home and property with everything you need in beautiful beach town.

We are local to the Lexington area, however we now live in Oakland County. We enjoy spending our weekends and summers in Lexington, and we are happy to share it with you.
What makes this property unique
The photo was taken from the front patio during sunrise. Wake up early and enjoy your coffee on your short walk to the lake while the sun is rising.
This property is exactly one block from downtown Lexington, one block from the boat launch and one block from the public beach (located at the end of Lake St).
We love to spend our mornings sipping coffee from the Lexington Coffee Co. which is located just steps away. We then pack our bags and head to the beach, which is also only a short walk away. We typically head up for lunch and get sandwiches from Sweetwater. Don't forget to get Steis's Pizza for dinner.
